We ordered like the fat fucks that we are, and had fish cakes, chicken satay, squid and some kind of stir fried pork. I also rate their masaman curry and kanom jeeb dumplings more highly than I can express in words, and their homemade ice creams are fleek af too plus they do cool flavours like coconut and pandan. Your whole experience here is going to be heightened immeasurably by the cuteness of the tiny Thai grandma that serves the food. I just want to kiss her all over her jolly little face. She brings you these little spearmint chewy sweets with your bill that instantly take on the exact texture of pre-chewed chewing gum when you eat them. Maybe they are chewing gum? The front door is interesting an has an interesting history with the building dating back to 1637. I was greeted when I walked upstairs and given a menu. I ordered Veggie Spring Rolls (Popia Tod), the Tom Ka with chicken and Pad See-Ew Noodles with chicken. It didn't take long to get my order and it was all still hot when I arrived back at my hotel. They also wrap it all quite tight so nothing spills out. The Spring Rolls weren't what I was expecting. I thought they were going to be fresh spring rolls but they are fried; it does say on the menu but I didn't read that part. It came with a plum sauce but would have been nicer with some hot mustard. Unfortunately, they do not do fresh spring rolls. The Tom Ka soup was quite good. It's a bit heavier than most Tom Ka soups I've had and I would have preferred it to be a bit spicy. The Pad See-Ew was fantastic. They serve a very generous portion and it's just delicious! And like the soup, it would be nice if it was a little spicy. I'm sure they can make it spicy if you ask them and I wish I would have asked. The food is very fresh and delicious and I would absolutely come back here.

There's a sizeable gravel car park just up a small side street, off the main road, opposite the church. You'd be forgiven for missing it so keep your eyes peeled for the sign! Also, mind your head as the low beams do get in the way. We opted for mixed Thai and Chinese hors d'oeuvres for four. Each was decent, although a little more dip would have been welcomed: vegetable spring rolls, spicy deep-fried prawns, prawn toast, fishcakes, chicken skewers, spare ribs and crispy "seaweed." We chose 5 mains, from the fruity sizzling fillet steak, beef, duck, prawns and chicken. They were nicely presently and the execution was faultless. Again, a minor point but I would choose individual rice portions next time, as I felt the group serving a little meagre for four lads. All in all, a lovely meal and good value at £25 per person including a couple of drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
