"Gigi's on Fairmount" is a wonderful place to enjoy great food, nice people, a comfortable neighborhood environment and just an all around pleasant experience. Set on beautiful Fairmount Blvd in a quaint Cleveland Hts. neighborhood. You will find a nicely maintained, older red brick building they share with "On the Rise Bakery" (also fabulous). Gigi's has a large patio out front that is laid out to be cozy and comfortable (see pics). When lit up in the evening it is really spectacular. The interior is simple, comfortable and cozy as well. My only suggestion would be to either turn down the background music or maybe, better yet, turn it off. Conversations around the table can get a little difficult to hear. Having been to Gigi's several times we were really looking forward to our next visit on a fabulous late summer evening. It definitely did not disappoint. We arrived and were greeted by a very nice woman who promptly seated us at our table for 6. Shortly thereafter a lovely young lady arrived at our table, introduced herself as Mya and said she would be our server for the evening. She promptly filled our water glasses, made sure we had a specials listing of the evenings off-the-menu offerings, as well as a wine list. She indicated she would return in a few minutes to take our beverage order and answer any questions we might have. The wine list is quite nice with a host of offerings. I was intrigued by a Zinfandel from Puglia, Italy. It turned out to be marvelous, to the point that I had a rare second glass. After everyone had placed their drink order we began to discuss one of my favorite parts of Gigi's menu... their "Signature Bruschetta Boards". Yes, I did say boards. At Gigi's you have a seemingly never ending selection of options on their Bruschetta Boards. The base crostini is perfectly prepared to be crispy yet tender. The assortment of toppings are perfectly paired and vast in their scope. Each board has 4 crostini divided into 4 pieces each, giving you 16 total, perfectly sized servings. Since you can order different toppings on each crostini each board is a wonderland of flavors... simply marvelous! Sometimes we will simply order two boards with our wine and make a meal out of that alone (always followed by coffee and dessert). This evening we were intrigued by the Entree menu so we could not help ourselves and ordered from it as well. I was enticed by the "Porchetta" offering and couldn't resist. It was wonderfully prepared, including: fennel pollen, blackberry gastrique, shaved fennel, shallot & orange salad, rosemary mashed potatoes and seed crumble. Now you see why I couldn't resist. It was inspired. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the "Stoneycreek Mushroom Bourguignon". As everyone else at our table was very happy with their choices. As is our habit, we followed up this marvelous meal with an excellent cup of coffee and dessert. I selected the "Chocolate pot de creme" and was glad I did (just the right sized serving). I must finish by saying Mya did an absolute exemplary job all evening. She was pleasant, prepared for any question, and extremely efficient. I would highly recommend you ask for her when you go. And you MUST go. I look forward to reading your review after you do.

What an absolute gem! We came here for date night and it unexpectedly became one of our favorite restaurants in Cleveland. I Gigi's has an unassuming exterior that I had walked by dozens of times on the way to On The Rise. The interior is so cozy and vibey with cushy seats and dim lighting. Their menu is customized each day use fresh local ingredients, so you're always in for something new when you go. Our server was so attentive and helpful. The food was delicious -- there are so many unique flavor options for bruschetta and each one we got was delicious. My boyfriend said the lasagna was the closest thing to the lasagna he ate in Italy. The udon noodles were so unique and well-flavored. We left with happy tummies and we will definitely be back!

I ate at Gigis for a rehearsal dinner recently. The ambiance was excellent, super cute space. The food was so good even as a buffet style I will definitely go back. Cocktails were delicious and service was excellent as well.

Intimate lil spot with aesthetic build your own bruschetta boards as well as daily specials for entrees! Quite a range of cuisines featured on their menu. The lasagna was delicious! Will be back.

Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

Since we were hungry, we followed another yelper's advice of getting an appetizer since we were warned the mains can take 30-40 minutes. Ordered the cracklin wings--got the ghost pepper dry rub which was recommended by the staff who also reassured me that it wasn't too spicy given that it was also sweet and came with ranch. Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. While the birthday guest was away from the table, I did sneakily ask if they do anything for birthdays, and the staff said that they do a scoop of ice cream. Since the sticky toffee pudding already came with a scoop of ice cream, they were considerate to do 2 cookies instead--the cookies weren't too sweet and reminded me of brownie batter. Sticky toffee pudding was good. 4/5 Restaurant is located in Pinecrest so parking available as free parking in a garage about a block away or as pay by mobile street parking. Ambience is great, perfect for a nice meal for a date or hangout. Overall a great place to celebrate a special occasion due to all the good food choices and staff who know how to treat birthday guests well.

I told him I would arrive within 40 mins and he said to just walk-in. The website says this is fine dining so for someone to answer the phone and discourage reservations was skeptical. When we arrived we were told since we didn't have reservations we had to sit outdoors. Now the forecast said rain in 10mins. So we told the lady at the desk that I spoke to the man that also at the door about reservations. She said no problem we waited about 10 minutes and we were seated. Our waitress Abby was amazing! I wanted a wellness drink and they were all out but she suggested other mocktail options. She then asked if we wanted tap water or sparkling bottle water. I was confused that they don't have filtered water. We got the tap and it smelled like sewer. We then asked for a bottle of sparkling water. And realized the glass cups smelled bad. If you want a wellness drink arrive early when they open around 11am. It was 1pm when I ordered my food. I ordered the Farmer's breakfast, it came with Two eggs any style, choice of crispy bacon or chicken sausage, grilled sourdough, potatoes. The potatoes were crumbs and left overs, a scoop of potatoes. For a $19 meal I couldn't believe what I was being served. The chicken sausage was amazing! The sourdough bread was grilled with no oil or butter. I asked for jelly thinking they would have compote. Instead they have mini jars of jelly. The main difference is that jam is a shelf-stable, fruit-puree preserve made with high amounts of sugar and added pectin. Compote is a chunkier, less sugary fruit sauce cooked quickly without pectin and meant to be eaten fresh. My husband had the Last Chicken Sandwich, which he said was good but the sandwich didn't come with a side just a $18 chicken sandwich that tasted wonderful.

The food was outstanding across the board, and the service was attentive, professional, and on point throughout the evening. The only minor hiccup involved our seating. We had reserved a table on the patio, which is usually the perfect place to dine. Unfortunately, the weather turned out to be a bit cooler than expected. By the time we were finishing our main courses, it had become too cold to fully enjoy the outdoor setting. We had inquired earlier about moving inside, but the restaurant was unable to accommodate us at that time due to capacity. Thankfully, they were able to find us a table indoors for dessert, which we greatly appreciated. That turned out to be the perfect ending to the evening, as the desserts were every bit as impressive as the rest of the meal.
