We were at the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store on South University, looking for flooring, and a…read morefriendly passerby said we should also try Chuck's. Re-Store's selection of flooring was limited at best, so we'd already mapped our path back to Home Depot, but decided to check out Chuck's first-
Man oh man! This is the spot when you need a big project done and you need to do it quick, on a budget.
It's a housing supply surplus store. They don't have a super broad selection, but *tons* of what they do have, and the prices are a steal if you can be flexible about color/style/shape etc. They're especially good for tile, flooring, vanities, sinks. In general, it's not a broad selection, but there are some solid finds.
On the downside, it is way off the beaten path (possibly hard to find), and quite frankly, looks a little scary from the outside. Still, if it's what you're looking for, it's magical to find a warehouse like this!
This is a raw, unpolished, construction materials store, so it is dusty, dirty, a little disorganized. You have to know what you're looking for, and how to use it. So if you go looking for it, be prepared for that :)
