I called to set up a new patient appointment at Gilbert Neurology and told them I do not have insurance and that I would be paying for my treatment in cash. The receptionist said they do not take cash/self paying payments. I have never heard of a medical or dental office that does not take cash. Maybe her employer needs to explain more about how an insurance vs a cash patient works. I am a provider myself and if my staff turned away a cash paying patient I would fire them immediately. I gave one star because she recommended I go to Neurology Associates in Chandler and I have had a wonderful experience with them, their entire staff are great to work with and their facility is really nice. I highly recommend Neurology Associates in Chandler...and they do take cash payment. read more

Came here after my recent seizure, and during my initial consultation, Dr. Beck spent an hour and a half explaining all the information and findings to myself and my family. He even logged into the computer and found previous records of scans, current medications I'm taking and the side affects all medications would have if taken together. I'd definitely recommend Gilbert neurologists! read more

I saw Dr. Hodgson and he ordered ABI and EMG tests. The EMG test was to have been done at his office at 8:00 am this morning. Got up at 6 am to shower because I had to get rid of any lotion/perfume/etc on my body, then I got a call at 7:20 to reschedule because the technician "called out sick". What? They don't have a backup person to perform the test? If I canceled 40 minutes before my appointment they would levy a service charge. read more

Very disappointed in my recent visit. When you rely on your doctor to give you the best treatment plan and/or care for any medical condition you are experiencing you expect or at least want an honest and good caring provider. Celeste Fine was far from providing care. I have seen her for years and not once did I feel as if my medical condition was a burden to her until my last visit. She made me feel that what I was going through physically was not important enough. Being a provider consist of multiple attributes including filing out and/or submitting paperwork. If your crippled and can't walk don't expect to be put on a leave because she will not do it. Suffer! This office is something they lack. read more

This place should get zero stars. All of these negative reviews are accurate and read the same. Start out like we're going to help you. End up like you're the biggest intrusion in their day possible. Brian Beck was good for a short time. Staff at the Power Road office was never good. Rude, unprofessional and completely disorganized. Several times I went into the office to pick up samples, paperwork, etc. and they had zero idea who I was or why I was there. After several "diagnosis", prescribed several different meds. When finally settled on a med, the insurance company needed preauth. He wrote the first one. After the the first one, neither he nor his staff could be bothered. And when I say they couldn't be bothered, they couldn't be bothered to schedule an office visit, a tele-visit, a phone call, nada. In fact, when i asked to speak to Dr. Beck, I was told no by members of his wonderful staff. Avoid this place and these people like the plague. I only went to begin with because my PC provider recommended them. That should have told me all I needed to know right there. read more

I love Dr. Raphael! 1st neurologist to actually listen and treatment me like a human being. She spent 1.5 hours with me and talked me through everything she had planned for me. I've been to several neurologist for my health issues but she's the first to actually listen. She's currently at their Higley office. read more

I brought my mom here to see Dr Beck. He is an amazing doctor who actually cares about his patients. My mom means everything to me, and it means a lot to have a doctor care as much as he does about my mom. The entire staff here is friendly. Hello. I have been a patient a Gilbert neurology for almost 3 years now after my wonderful neurologist died. I was originally seeing a colleague/ physician of his at his place of business, but on the topic of the one star it would be lower because off the fact that when I fisrt was diagnosed with seizures I was only having a seizure once every 3 months so I was prescribed the lowest dosage of keppra (not knowing the side effects then) after about another 3 months my seizures actually increasing to once every week. So I was then classified as an epileptic and would need to see a specialist like dr. Beck at this point I only had the Keppra and clonozopane (for elongated seizures) so I was prescribed another anti seizure medication. And now after about another 1 year of this back and forth I've noticed that he doesn't have an answer for what I now am having which are convulsions related to the new prescription I've been on. So it's a matter of realizing that Drs don't know everything and every patient is different (I completely understand that) but with the pay he's making I should feel like more of a "we need to figure this patient out before he dies of a seizure or worse" instead of pushing me off to every 6 month visits. Thanks for reading and I hope anyone who is questioning their drs integrity please always realize there is a second dr who will always tell you something different. BUYER BEWARE...Called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Hudson for migraines. Had made previous appointments a long time out because he is so popular but had to cancel them for my own and my husband's health issues, which are mounting. The last time, I was trying to wait until after my hysterectomy as I knew my hormonal levels would be changing, and this would affect my migraines. This time, I was told I had canceled 3 appointments so I could not make an appointment again. Ever. This should have been told to me when I went to cancel my last appointment, not now. The doctor did a great job in the hospital HOWEVER try to get an appointment after is a nightmare. My roommate try to schedule a follow up exam after a mini-stroke. He owes $16 from when he had triple bypass surgery. They are refusing to see him until he pays $16. measly dollars. We never even knew that we owed this $16. as after the triple bypass we never knew about seeing a neurologist. Who sees a neurologist for heart issues! He cannot go back to work until he gets cleared by a neurologist. It is a shame when $16 is more important than their Hippocratic Oath. Look elsewhere for your healthcare needs! read more

Pack a lunch - never got to see a Doctor so I walked out after 2 1/2 hours when the nurse practitioner would drop by every 15 minutes or so saying the doc was on his way. So I smile and wave at everyone while escaping with my sanity intact. While clearly not interested in me, they were however interested in my money by later calling to try to duplicate previous precedures that I told them I had recently taken. read more

Whatever you do. Do NOT go to Gilbert Neurology. I've been to A LOT of doctors. I know the ropes, how to get things moving, etc. Unfortunately, issues with doctors and their staff is more the norm than not. I got one appointment, and a swift diagnosis of something very serious, with NO testing. Once I researched my diagnosis and spoke to my oncologist, I reached out to them two weeks ago needing to speak to someone ASAP as my symptoms continue to increase. I have called them about 7 times since then, and even went to their office and asked for the Office Supervisor. I was told none of them were even there by the bland receptionist that couldn't care less. My oncologist has even called them to complain. THEY HAVE NOT CALLED ME BACK! I guess the good news is my onco is now referring me to a specialist. It's a long ass drive, but they are technically the experts. Hopefully they can help me. My review: Beware! If you arrive past 10 minutes late you will not be seen. My Uber driver had to search for the building and so I walked in 12 minutes late! 2 minutes late!!!! The receptionist was very cold and persistent. It didn't matter that I had been falling and unsteady and needed to be seen. There were no other patients in the office! Perhaps they sent all the other patients who are more than 10.1 second late and are enjoying a leisurely break. The girls in the office did not seem very busy. Nor did they seem very kind. I started feeling really unsteady as I waited to call my Uber driver and barely made it outside. If it were not for his help I would never arrived home safely! I had to pay $30 for my round-trip home. Just for two minutes! Shame on you and shame on your Business practices. I do not remember seeing a sign or a notice of such a practice. Our company receives high ratings because we try to be considerate of our customers and hope they will come back. read more

Ran extremely expensive tests on my wife that had already been conclusive negatives, when they finally prescribed a med. That kept her from having seizure like migranes, they refused to refill. And lastly after ordering all the expensive tests that already been done, refused to see my wife until we paid for said thousands of dollars of tests! Started out well so I thought I liked the Dr and she helped find some issues no else could. When they wanted to run all these expensive tests I wanted to check they were in network. I was told all the other providers were in network and they have a team that checks on it. First lie they were not in network and now I am left with a 3,500 bill I am fighting and they could not understand why I was upset with them. I was told by someone that works there this has been happening a lot. Then they want me to do a treatment that the insurance wont cover and its will cost between $2,000-$3500 a month which may or may not work and could make me sick 1 week out of every 4. They cant understand why I don't want to do that but instead of exploring other options like the DR had said because she said insurance may not cover it they send me a letter saying they will no longer see me because I wont follow the Dr's orders. Wow I thought I had a say in what I do for my body !!! But further proves its not about patient care its about HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I TAKE FROM YOU!!!! read more

First Impression is not good! My son phoned Gilbert Neurology twice for an initial appt.and no one called him back. I just called to phone again for him as he works a busy phone job and its not easy for him to call in the hours that the office is open and again when he called on his lunch no one answered the phone. I got a very rude gal who said I could not make an appt. for him that he needed to call. Once I told her he works a phone job and tried twice and no one answered or called him back she put me on hold for awhile and came back and said she could make the appt. Didn't seem pleased at all or happy to help, again was rude and snappy with her attitude. Mentioned that the office was understaffed. Once I proceeded to give her the info. on my son and because I did not have the address where the insurance claim would be mailed to, she refused to hold/make the appt. She said I needed to call back with that info. Even though I had the the insurance coverage info. (group number and ID number) she was not willing to make or hold the appt. I hope the Doctors and Providers that rely on the front office staff read this review. Your phone receptionist lost you a patient and referrals down the road. Sorry we do not feel welcome or comfortable being treated like this on our attempt to make an appointment. read more

I would recommend Dr Hodgson to anyone. He listened, asked questions, and actually looked at referring dr. records. He listened to my symptoms, added a couple of specialist tests that provided clarifying answers to the cause of my issues. The office test giver was professional and I am glad she knew what she was doing. It was a high tech test and I want the person who does it correctly. I have been a patient of Dr Joy for many years now. Every time I come in I'm treated like you would want to be treated when seeing a doctor. I'm checked in usually within 10 minutes of arriving and have never waited more than 30 minutes from check in to seeing Dr Joy. As with any doctor visit you need to communicate what's going on with your health and have always found him to take the time and explain treatment options. read more

WORST experience EVER! The office staff is incompetent, disorganized and unprofessional. My PCP referred me initially and I met with Jonathan Henriquez, N.P. for my migraine headaches. Today's visit was a follow-up to an emergency room encounter that I had where I had to have a spinal-tap. My appointment was at 8am - I was there 10 min. early. Only problem is that Jonathan was no longer at this location and no one had informed me. The office he was located at was only 15 minutes away (still an inconvenience and not my fault) however, the office staff told me too bad he was booked for the day and I would have to reschedule for another day. It was imperative that I see him today because I am on a intermittent leave due to complications of the spinal tap but they could care less. I drove to their other office (that I had been unaware of) and implored the staff for their help because I had to have paperwork filled out (simple - 6 questions (yes/no) for my leave. They told me that would be an additional $75 and they could not guarantee anything! I cancelled my future appointment and won't be back! I went back to my PCP who had no problem assisting me. read more

Doctor did not follow what my last doctor did for migraine map and for my sinus pains that I had 3 months ago from another neurologist and now I have headaches daily and sinus pains. I went back to the doctor and he said he would not do anything to help me. At first I thought everything was great with Dr. Beck, now I'm very disappointed with the staff, about making an appointment. All I need is some paperwork to be filled out. They said I had to make an appointment to have that done so they told me for 6-27-18, I said that was too late I needed it sooner. So they said 6-6-18 at there Higley office at 10 am. I said ok that will be fine. I arrived at my appointment they told me my appointment was for 6-27-18. NOW I'M EXTREMELY UPSET, THAT I HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE END OF THE MONTH. TO HAVE PAPERS FILLED OUT. THAT IS ALL I NEED IT FOR. All I get from this Doctor is only medication. I'm still dizzy. He won't look at what the problem is. I've had this dizziness for more than a year, and still has not helped me. My job is waiting for this paperwork going on now for 3 months. Once my meds get tapered off down to zero, I will not be coming back. So I hope this place reads this problem. I have even asked them if I could be put on a list if there was a cancellation, they don't do that either. I have to call back on Monday and Tuesday, to see if there is a cancellation. read more
