It's a gorgeous and enticing place to have a leisurely browse; like me, you're bound to be tempted by many pretty things: rings, brooches, earrings, bracelets, pendants - a veritable magpie's delight. Prices range - widely - according to the item, designer and materials used. I liked the fact that I was 'allowed' to explore freely and un-pushy help was offered when I asked for information. I also especially appreciated the fact that it's possible to design and get your own creation made-up here - particularly useful if you have a very distinct idea in mind and can't find exactly what you're looking for, or if - like me - you want to replace a single lost earring (part of a favourite pair).

The bus stop outside Pimlico station was not in use on that day. I had to walk to my hairdresser's which is located about 5-10 minutes from the station. On my way back to Pimlico station I somehow felt that I had to go into this shop. Firstly I checked that it was opened and there was someone in the shop. The shop assistant greeted me when I entered the shop. The shop displays works from independent designers with contrasting styles and concepts. Seriously. I was looking through some very peculiar jewellery works when the shop assistant interrupted to ask me if I needed help. I said, "No. I am just looking around and I will get you if I need any help." That was my way of getting some peaceful and enjoyable browsing. After a while of deafening silence except for the background music, the shop assistant started talking to me when I was looking at the felt works of Rose Revitt, http://roserevitt.blogspot.co.uk/ He then showed me the rabbit's @$$ felt brooch by Rose Revitt. It is an interesting idea of wearing a rabbit's @$$ as a brooch. I would definitely wear it when I am not working. I always talk to strangers and it is very natural for people to tell me about themselves. The shop assistant turned out to be a jewellery designer, Leonid Dementiev. There were also works on display at the counter. It was there that I found something familiar that I once lost...It was a necklace with a pendant made from a bottle cap. The pendant has the painting of the Cherubs from Raphael's Sistine Madonna. I bought the necklace costing about £30. I once had a magnet of the Cherubs but I lost it when I moved. After so many years, I only saw the Cherubs again last year, in my accommodation in Venice, Italy. I believe that seeing the Cherubs was a sign of something good. Perhaps it will reveal itself to me in time...

The costume stuff is great too and my absolute favourite are the Casey Rogers dog and cat brooches, made from bright colours in paisley or floral fabrics and featuring adorable line drawings of different breeds.

You really can spend hours in here, or at least that's what I did. Everything is in a glass case as most of it is delicate and it must be hard stopping people with a five finger discount from snapping up these beauties otherwise. The items are all laid out thematically, so you'll find your scotty dog choker with the houndstooth broaches off course. Head on down if you have some time during the week, that way the whole place isn't over run by tourists and you can look in peace, even better than that, go on a rainy day...
