I would give the chocolates four stars, and stack one on top for the awesome service. I've been here twice already buying christmas gifts for friends and family in Toronto and spent about 100 EUR. I imagine i'd be spending much more here in the long run.

Nouvelle atelier/ boutique sur rueil malmaison qui remplace l'ancienne à nanterre. J'y suis allé avec mes deux enfants pour acheter du chocolat noir de couverture en pain. Ce n'est pas ma premiere visite chez eux sauf que cette fois çi Mr. Cresno était présent à la boutique. Accueil déplorable de la part de Mr. Cresno qui a rechigner a me vendre du chocolat de couverture en pain ,pretextant qu'il ne le vendait qu 'au kilo ( alors que j'ai l'habitude de l' acheter au detail chez eux ). Il m'a sechement dit que c'etait la derniere fois qu'il me le vendrait au detail. Les vendeuses quand a elles très gentilles mais très effacer quand le patron est présent. Meme pas un au revoir de la part de Mr.Cresno. C'est la derniere fois que je vais dans cette boutique. Soyez en sûre !! read more

J'ai connu la maison Cresno lorsque je travaillais à Rueil, un petite boîte (mais la dernière dès que la précédente était vide. Avec le départ en province pour la retraite, c'est terminé mais la commande annuelle pour les fêtes, c'est obligatoirement chez Cresno, pour nous, les enfants et les amis. I love all things chocolate, so naturally I loved this place: everything they sold, the pastries, the decor, and the chic, beautiful ambiance. We got a coffee here and their famous tiger pastry. This is something you can't find in most other pâtisseries (not like the more ubiquitous millefeuille or éclairs which you can find anymore anywhere) The tiger pâtisserie has a base made of almond flour and studded with chocolate chips and is a pretty dense cake, and then has a center of delicious chocolate ganache. I shared this with my husband along with some coffee and it was amazing - I've been trying to find this pastry all over France now. (I live in the South of France) They also sell chocolate candy bars, chocolate bars and other pastries but I'll have to go back to get more treats. Definitely stop by here if you're a chocoholic like me. The prices are a little steep but the quality of the ingredients and chocolates that are used in the pastries make it worth it.

The server gave us the right amount of attention and was helpful (I speak French rather fluently but have never really seen poor service in Paris due to use of English by anyone). I walked in on a Saturday when some of the other shops were closed. It seems a little Tre chic and I was worried it would be expensive but macarons are only €1.60 each and the flavors are fantastic! They also don't chill or refrigerate the macarons which means when you bite into it, the egg white/cookie just melts away. It's like biting into a cloud with a flavored filling. The salted caramel is A+ and I especially liked the blackberry. And as a BONUS- if you want to take them home they have great packaging that has a protective plastic cover over the macarons. That way they won't be crushed and they travel very well. Gave some as a gift 4 days after buying them and they still maintained all of their shape and flavor. I wandered into the boutique by accident and now it's a must visit the next time I'm in Paris.
