We went there on a Thursday evening after SOS appointment in the same complex coz why not.. there was just 1 person serving that day and he was very informative. He helped us in suggesting the closest flavors they had for what I was expecting and the flavors did not disappoint. I got dark chocolate with peanut butter and coffee flavors. The ice creams are very nominally priced. 2 scoops (medium size) for 6$+tax.. the sizes of those 2 scoops were HUGE, more like 4 scoops to me. They have shakes and other stuff too. I will definitely be back to this place to try other flavors. read more

This was our first visit at Gilly's and it was a wonderful experience. The employee (owner?) who took our orders was very patient with our large group, letting us try samples & answering any questions we had. The prices are fair, esp for a local ice cream place, & the flavors were amazing. There were a lot of options, which we all appreciated. There are also several tables & it was a calm & clean space. Overall a pretty positive experience. Friendly staff. Good ice cream flavors - however - *NOT* their own (they are from Guernsey and another local ice cream shop) - so keep that in mind. We tried a number of ice cream flavors and they were good however too sweet for our liking (both Guernsey and the other local place), so we ended with the vanilla soft serve smallest size. The soft serve was so smooth and exactly what I wanted. the smallest size with a soft serve was only $2.50! Very well worth it. Clean store. Perfect way to end the day. Just wish their flavors were their own. read more

Hours a strange. Not open during the day when we go to the plaza to shop at Honeybaked or to pick up a coffee. There is a shop practically in the backyard that also has games, outdoor tables and entertainment. Ice cream is local, so that's cool. read more

First time here. Been looking for a new ice cream place that also had good non-dairy options. Visited with the family and the place is cute, clean, the people running the place could not have been nicer. The ice cream selections are small in number, but they have a couple of my favorite old school flavors (Blue Moon, Superman) and excellent new ones both their own and some of the more exotic Guernsey flavors you can only get at their store in Novi, so I highly recommend this place. read more

Cute spot with amazing ice cream. We didn't see the exact flavor we wanted in the freezer with pints, and the owner was nice enough to make us our own pints. The Superman icecream with pieces of strawberry is a MUST. We sat outside to eat, the owner went the extra mile again to ask if we wanted to put our pints in the freezer after sitting outside for a while, 10/10 experience! read more

We've been here a couple of times and there are always staple flavors with a few seasonal flavors that come and go. Peppermint Cheesecake, Chocolate and Faygo Rock & Rye, Yellow Snow (creamy lemon with marshmallow), Caramel Cider Donut ice cream. So good- love the idea of an ice cream flight to try other flavors. They also have food options which we haven't tried yet but if they are half as good as the ice cream and its staff- it will be fantastic I'm sure. read more

Yates is celebrating 163 Years of Fresh Made Cider from Apples grown on the property and nearby to be Mashed in their pressing Machine located inside this sweet business. Naturally they close for the winter but open the first week of May till after Halloween. Stop in to see the farm animals for kids, play area and plenty of picnic tables to sit and enjoy a glass of cider and their famous plain or cinnamon sugar donut. ( Photos attached) The past 3 times when I have stopped to shop the donuts have been freshly baked and warm to enjoy before I drive home with a Gallon of cider and 4 other donuts cuz I always eat 2 there with a couple swigs of cider. The blue color was fun, and the ice cream reminded me of sea foam on boba: light, creamy, and slightly salty. It added a rich touch to the matcha. I prefer the regular iced matcha over a latte, especially with the ice cream. There was some construction outside, but the inside was super cute. The employee that was building my bowl for me was very helpful and easily could tell that it was my first time. I guess I selected the right ingredients because my bowl was outstanding! Apparently, some of my selections, like feta, were extra. I think restaurants really miss the mark when they start nickel-diming toppings. Overall, the food is great and it's fantastic for catering, but it's not an inexpensive lunch option.

This is a wonderful place for families to bring their children, seniors to stop in for an evening treat...and everyone in between that wants to experience a "mom and pop" feel in this quaint little ice cream shop! Faces are always friendly and welcoming - they (the owners and their employees) ALWAYS make you feel like family! Ice cream comes from sources in MI. and is truly de-lish!!! I personally really love that and it's important to me when deciding to support any business what they do to help our state, our people. It is also noteworthy that so much is done for community! Great place with great local ice cream! You won't find subpar Hershey's ice cream here! Guernsey and Brown Dog Creamery flavors make this cute shop the place to come for a scoop! Owners are super friendly, prices are great, and it is incredibly clean! read more
