The two employees came on time, were very easy to work with and helped with the process. Unfortunately the price ended up being almost double what was anticipated, several items were chipped during loading and unloading. If you do work with this company, nail down an exact price so you don't have any unexpected surprises.

Once to haul junk, once to move furniture and once to move it back. The hauling went well. No issues. The second appointment and a half was rough. They came and said they have to come back a second day to haul off my range and move my refrigerator. I thought everything was ok. I receive a phone call that they can't move my refrigerator to the garage because they can't remove refrigerator doors. Thus, they left it for my flooring guys to move around. (They told me they were a full service moving company.) 3rd time I had an appointment from 8-10. I waited until almost 10 to call and ask where they were. They said they would get back with me. About a 1/2 hour later they called and said they would be there around 12. After that I receive a phone call they will be there in 1/2 hour. They finally came about 1:30. There are two other scheduling issues I had with them, but I won't go further. The staff was friendly, but just not professional. No, I would not re-hire them.

I had everything broken down and pre-packed and consolidated into easy to access rooms. One of the 2 movers quit after the first 3 hrs. which severely slowed the process down. I have 3 school aged children and a dog I needed to tend to and my spouse was deployed. The move took 10 hours to move me 15 minutes away. Myself and my younger two sons had to help the last 5 hours. Due to the late arrival and 1 man working a move that should have started at 10am and been finished NLT 6pm went until midnight. I was unable to pick up my children from school, feed them, or my dog or get anything settled for us to sleep on that night and the temperatures were freezing. Which is why the move was scheduled early; to prevent from moving after sundown. Temperatures were difficult for the movers as well. When it was over though I was offered "half off the last four hours" it did not account for the fact that move should not have taken as long as it did. Two items were broken and neither were paid for and only 1 was acknowledged. The other 1 was discovered in my garage the next morning. I emailed the business and asked to handle this quietly and come to an agreement. I understand it is a small business and likely needed the money. However, not even an apology was extended. I was moved in January of 2026. I have waited 6 months before deciding to post this review. The company should know when not to take a client. This should have been turned away from the beginning as the company could not handle this move professionally and efficiently.

They were…read morein front of my storage unit...not a problem and figured he would take 5 seconds to move a small box with plastic hangers in it to the side for a second but instead I was told to wait a minute while he went and grabbed a couch to put in the unit he was putting items into! I figured no problem I will scoot the box about a foot over so I can unlock my unit and when I did he loudly said..."Or not...and told me how I was being rough with her items! Then he kept running his mouth and I told him I guess I will see you in KDOC someday since you obviously are unprofessional and rude yourself! Him and the other two workers were then laughing at me about the whole situation while "their" customer witnessed their behavior! When I went outside I took a picture of their moving truck with phone numbers and truck number! While doing this the younger kid of the 3 walked out and I asked if the other workers name really was Tyler and he said No.. I then asked him what it was and he said he didn't know! I said you're working with them all day and you don't know their names? He said nope I'm a minor and he told me I was awfully old to be acting the way I was... just yet another professional behavior! Would NOT recommend if that's how their employees are allowed to be! I've called the company with no phone call back as of yet! Update: I have talked to a lady at Mighty Movers and she said she didn't know what went wrong but that the customer said I was throwing her boxes everywhere and that the kids were professional... so with that which is very untrue because I was about 5 feet from the lady and verified with her at the time that I simply pushed a box of hangers a few inches to unlock my unit and she agreed! As for Mighty Movers, it appears they just take their employees word for it and don't care what the general public views are about their unprofessionalism! Another Update: As you can see by the owners response they are not holding their employees actions accountable! My review will stay posted as is and it is also how they probably have a high rating because they treated those voicing the truth with threats of legal action! In addition I have phone records showing I called a Tommy back twice yesterday and never received a phone call until I could reach out this morning!

These were THE BEST movers I've ever hired. They were polite, kept in touch, and enthusiastic. Compared to movers in the past, I must say this is my favorite crew & company. Reason1 - as a single woman I felt comfortable and trusted this group of men in my home with my belongings and 2nd as a customer I did not feel cheated or overcharged even when I threw extras at them - aka, hooking up a washer & dryer and changing out the cord to the dryer. If I ever need to move in the future, I will use this company and hope this same crew is available!! Two things I would have changed - 1. Knowing that they were going to take a lunch break in between moving me and knowing that they would charge me for the lunch hour 2. Asking the team to read the labels on my boxes and put them in the correct rooms. I was so tired I forgot to instruct them to do so unpacking took longer than I had hoped Otherwise, their enthusiasm and smiles made me want happy to do business with them at the time and now in the future - most other teams (in my experience) send out sketchy looking men and usually only 1 team member speaks to you and doesn't ever smile. You just get the sense that they hate their job and don't care about you or the stress you're experiencing from the move - complete opposite with these guys, it was an absolute pleasure and even though I might have been stressed they put my mind at ease and were able to lighten the mood with laughter. Great experience overall.

That made my life a lot easier. Not-so-good stuff: there was a significant failure to communicate between U-Pack and the staffing company (which they selected) in my new location in terms of where the trailer would be for unloading. That created more headaches for me and meant that I had to cancel my existing contract with the staffing company and work directly with the local folks.

I used U-Pack for my recent move from Wichita, KS to New York, New York and I am VERY glad I did…read more Let me start by giving a shout out to VONDAL MOORE. He is the customer service representative that helped me through the entire move process. He is based out of Fort Smith, AR but I got hold of him by contacting the ABF 1-800 number. I highly recommend asking for him specifically. He made sure I knew where my shipment was, when it would arrive, all the rules for NYC deliveries, and he answered a lot of random questions I had even after our phone conversations. He promptly replied to all my emails, even if it was on a weekend. Vondal gets a A++ for customer service. Advantages of using U-Pack: 1) U-Pack charges you by container, not by weight. Unlike many professional moving services, you are not exposed to risk for going over your (or their) estimate. You know how much you are going to pay from the beginning, there are no surprises, only honesty. 2) If you don't have a place to live in your new location when you move, U-Pack will store your moving containers at their facility for $125 for 30 days. This gives you plenty of time to find a place to live, then call to have your shipment delivered in a few days. 3) You don't have to drive a big truck to get your belongings to your new home. I especially didn't want to drive a moving truck in NYC! 4) You get to load the containers yourself. While the physical labor isn't an advantage, knowing your precious belongings were packed well gives you peace of mind. 5) You get to put your own locks on the shipping container so you know nobody else can mess with your stuff. 6) ABF was the least expensive (notice I didn't say cheapest) moving container specialist I quoted, and I quoted several. 7) Great communication from the company. There was a small mix up when they thought my delivery date was going to be delayed three days, so Vondal, my rep, called to discuss it with me, and he had the Facility Manager from the Wichita location call and apologize for the delay. While I was talking to the Facility Manager, he realized there actually wasn't a delay and my containers had already arrived at the destination terminal. They were so focused on my satisfaction that instead of making excuses, they immediately called to let me know what was going on at the first hint of an issue. Disadvantages of using U-Pack: 1) Depending on the city to which you move, you may have limited time to unload. We only had 4-hours in NYC. It was plenty, but we were a little tired. 2) If your destination terminal is in a big city, they may miss the appointed time. We were scheduled between 1 and 5, and they showed at 5:30. Not a huge deal, except that we only had 4 hours to unload so our friends (helpers) ended up waiting the entire 4.5 hours, too. Made it difficult to retain help. 3) You have to buy your own locks if you don't already own 4. Overall my experience as positive. I will most likely use U-Pack for my next move.
