This is a gastronomic restaurant serving French food with a Japanese chef (and some Asian helpers in the kitchen). Everything here was wonderful. The duckling 'la cannette' was the best duck I have had in my life - a little more sauce and it would have been perfection. The cold mushroom and beef soup was superb as was my octopus. Every other table seemed to be ordering a pork fillet so we will try that next time. The red wine we ordered for around 25 euros was excellent. Service was so good, I wasn't sure if they were French at first.

Rich sauces and huge portions prevail. My quenelle with chicken liver pate was good, though not as good as the one I had across the alley 4 nights ago. Gott'a say though that my 5 course dinner for 23 euros was quite acceptable. Hard working servers are friendly, efficient, and keep a sense of humor about the prevailing pandemonium. Yes you can find more refined Lyonaisse food close by for the same tariff. But if you decide to eat here you will have plenty to chew and probably be quite happy about it.
