As part of my sorority group, we get together about once a month. We've been wanting to support woman owned businesses and one member suggested gingers. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super friendly and kind. The restaurant has a retro feel and plenty of space for groups. A motorcycle group was having a gathering for a charity ride today. The biscuits and gravy were great. Full of flavor and not spicy. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Mikki the owner even took time to come out and talk to us about the business, and all they do to help out locally. If you want to support a small business, I cannot recommend gingers enough. This was my first trip to Ginger's. A group invited me to come with them for lunch. I'm regretting my choice. It's a typical Hoosier hometown restaurant decorated like women cleaned out their closets and pooled what they found. Country cutesy. The food is nothing special: what I typically refer to as the 'usual suspects.' The "special side dish" is previously frozen French fries. The chicken velvet soup was so thick I'm guessing it is made with various starches and thickening agents. I didn't eat most of it. The pastrami sandwich was less pastrami and more sauerkraut. It arrived cold. The lemon that accompanied my iced tea was obviously old. The rind was dried out and it wasn't sliced thin, but into 3 hunks. Not at all fresh and juicy. Just simply mediocre. Today was my second time at Ginger's. Our first visit was fine but not amazing, but because we really want to see a local spot like this succeed, we decided to give it another try. I'm writing with some constructive feedback on what we experienced. At a $35 price point for two (before tip), I would encourage Ginger's to take a closer look at the quality of the ingredients being served. For example, the side of fruit felt a little disappointing. It was a small mix of canned pineapple, canned mandarin oranges with some mushy grapes and a few blueberries. The scrambled eggs were very uniform and round with a wet texture that made me wonder if they weren't made fresh. Similarly, my husband's biscuits and gravy tasted like they might have come from a can. We noticed the staff seemed to be having a really difficult time keeping up with the dining room. Our poor server appeared very overwhelmed and expressed frustration several times about being 'done with the day.' We saw the couple next to us wait about 30 minutes for their check and have to ask twice at the register. While we got a table quickly, we were there for nearly two hours. We hope this feedback is helpful, and we'd love to see the restaurant thrive. read more

Great service, and the best pancakes I've ever had. We always have a great experience here. The wait staff is always super friendly and helpful. It feels like you're family when you walk in - very comfortable and casual. I don't know what they do to the pancakes but they are incredible. Pro-tip, ask for a to go box before you pour on the syrup if you think you're not going to finish them. They freeze and reheat well! read more

Found a hidden gem this morning. I've been following on FB for a while and decided to give it a try this morning. Got there about 9:30 and was happy to see no wait. Was approached quickly and sat at a table with cute mismatched chairs. The table had a break down the middle just like my Grams used to have On to the food. The hubs and I still judge breakfast places on their B&G (biscuits and sausage gravy). I ordered the big breakfast (2eggs/2 bacon/hashbrowns/half order of B&G). Order came out perfect (even though I forgot to take pic). Hubs had the veggie omelette and hashbrowns. All the food was really good. Now onto the B&G review... I would definitely put this in the top 5 I've had. Biscuit was good and they don't skimp with the sausage gravy. Had great flavor and didn't need to add salt or pepper. Even though Ginger's was a good 20-25 min from home, this will definitely be in our rotation of our favorite places. read more

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast the other day. We really enjoyed our meal. My wife had Ginger's breakfast...eggs, bacon, Hash Browns and biscuits. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Very friendly folks here in Noblesville Indiana! This breakfast/lunch place is open until 2pm during the weekdays. They serve a variety of brunch items on their menu, so im sure you will find something that you will like! They also serve Soups that will change daily except for their well known cheeseburger soup! Gingers cafe also offers pies! I ordered the mini sampler that gives you a choice of 1/2 sandwich of your choosing from the options they present to you on their menu, with soup and side salad. I chose Spinach and cheese melt 1/2 and the velvet chicken soup. The melt was great very crispy but also buttery! The soup was almost like a cream of chicken consistency, but all the same good! Staff is extremely friendly and treat everyone like family. I didnt know this place was down the street from my job so this was a wonderful surprise to stumble upon! The very first time I ate here i had their Biscuits and Gravy and it was TO DIE FOR!!! If you do order the biscuits and gravy do a 1/2 because they will take 2 biscuits and cut it in half and put gravy on that! If you choose a full order its ALOT, its 4 biscuits cut in half and gravy! The atmosphere is charming if you like the mismatched rustic type of feel (like all decor and furniture was bought at yard sales) but not my style personally. Kind of an odd place, it's in an old distribution or manufacturing building, a big open space with a mix of used furniture. The food was average. The Orange juice was not very good, my pancakes were way undercooked. Our waitress was sweet and informed us that coffee is free from 7-9 a.m. each morning - steal! Right in the time when most people need it, too. No idea if it's good or not, though, since I'm not a coffee drinker. The breakfast burrito was good, and my friends' omelettes looked good. Nothing to write home about, though - standard breakfast food. Two awkward things I will mention is the food came out in varying times (half were served and the other half had to wait another 3-4 minutes) and it wasn't clear that you pay at the counter. read more

The food, whether you get breakfast or lunch, is also amazing and you can tell that all of their food is prepared fresh and it tastes so good. The pies and cakes here are so good as well! Stumbled upon this place on a rainy day. It was packed full even with the back rooms they have. Looks super small from the outside but on the inside its huge. Waiters and kitchen staff were getting their workout being so accommodating to everyone. The atmosphere is fun and light. We dined here for the first time on Wednesday and we really enjoyed the food and the service was great. The owner Ginger made rounds on every table and chatted with the patrons as if they were old family friends. When she got to our table and we said it was our first visit she pulled up a chair and we visited for over an hour. We talked about this and that, mostly food. And she brought up her Cheeseburger pickle soup and I said I'm not too sure about that and she went and brought me some and it is delicious!! Their food here is mostly comfort food and delicious. They got some great looking desserts but I was so full I didn't try any. Next time for sure. They even sell homemade dog treats in which we had to get some and our dog loved them. They have moved and the address on here was incorrect so I have updated it to the right one. I love to support local businesses and this is a good one. They use Boar's head meats and cheeses for their sandwiches and also sell it by the pound to go if you want to take some home. Be sure to ask about the history of the building, I heard it was many things over the years like a grocery store, a beauty school and more. read more
