We are from New Jersey. We just stopped in to get some dinner and have to say we're disappointed with pizza slices the Sicilian was bland. The regular slice with sausage didn't have much flavor .Also got Parmesan dinner which was just nothing special . The rolls were good. If you go here prepare to be disappointed. I ordered delivery and received two thirds of my order on November 20th. The wrong soda was sent, I received half of the wings ordered and no zeppolis. The only thing right was the Pizza.They didn't have the common courtesy to reach out to me and let me know they didn't have all the items I ordered available. I've been a customer here for over a decade.Instead the guy on the phone said yeah we didn't have everything so we just sent part of your order and my boss will refund you the rest. Convenient location due to the area it's in, parking lot, etc. called ahead, girl who answered wasn't the friendliest but the guy who worked there and held the door open for me was so sweet, the pizza box was huge and the pizza was bomb. My family use to order pizza,' pasta's & wings all the time with the old Gino's. We were dissappointed when they closed. However they re-opened with new owners, and my family and I couldn't be happier. Yes we were skeptical at first, so our first pie order came with a warning that if they didn't make quality food it would be our first & last order. Well, the new Gino's knows how to cook, we order a penne ala vodka pie and it was not only as good as the original Gino's It was better than I remember it being... not only that their prices are better!!! Win-win. So check this out, it's Sunday night & the family was too busy to cook so we call Gino's and order Penne ala vodka, Calamari & I gave some feedback on a order of wings I order before that seemed small & Anthony at Gino's was surprised on my feedback, then he recalled they were sent the wrong size wings one week which must have been when I order. Well Gino's went above & beyond to take care of my family, everything was delicious the calamari was fried to perfection, the penne was cooked perfectly and the wings were the bigger ones we are use to. But here is where Gino's went above and beyond, they sent all kinds of complimentary foods, OMG it was so much food we were telling the polite delivery person that we didn't order all this food; The delivery person stated that Anthony, I think he may be an owner wanted to send extra food to take care of us. I cannot express the shock my wife & I had when we unpacked the food. Three different kinds of pizza, a whole bunch of fresh and warm artisan rolls. Zepolle's for the whole family and it was overwhelming. When I called to ask why they sent all this food, Anthony at Gino's said that we always want to make our customers happy, Anthony said we always want our customer service to be top priority; we want to treat you like family! From Day one when I poked my head in the door, when I realized Gino's re-opened they've be doing just that, treating us just like family. Gino's is an awesome pizzeria, but don't take my word for it, give them a try you won't regret it I promise you Gino's will be your go to pizzeria!!! Was driving around looking for something to eat, and my mama suggested we try out this place on a whim. It was fantastic. The staff was SO friendly and made great conversation with my family, such a warm atmosphere all around. There were such lovely paintings on the windows and inside. I'm eating the perfect square right now. You cannot find these in many places so I highly recommend coming here or ordering your next pizza. Staff are so nice and warm. There's a great bar for cocktails and I'm looking at a family enjoying themselves as they eat dinner and it looks like I'm going to order a chicken parmesan for dinner tonight. If you love pizza, this is your pizza Mecca. This is pizza Shangri-La. These are the slices all other slices should be measured against. This is pizza Nirvana. Some of the specialty pizza flavors will be familiar- buffalo, chicken/bacon/ranch, cheesesteak... the difference is these are done to perfection. I've always wanted to like a cheesesteak slice, but no one seemed to do it right. This was awesome. Then you get some really creative slices. I had sausage and broccoli rabe with tomato. Fantastic. I saw chicken fra diavolo, chicken francaise, chicken marsala, a calamari slice... just some really creative things going on here. I think I ordered 7 specialty slices and a soda and the total was $24, so that's like $3 per specialty slice? That is not bad at all. Also, I went on a Thursday at lunch and they had all those options available. Gotta love that. Will be back on a weekend to see what they come up with for some more for sure. read more

This is officially the best place to get a slice of any pizza you want along with the perfect saucy wings you can get on the Island. The staff is great, knowledgeable on menu items and just all around friendly. My suggestion would be to get an order of bbq wings and a slice of Philly Cheese Steak pizza. This is a shame because the food is SO good here. I ordered a hero and a pasta dish yesterday and the delivery time said to give it 45 mins. I don't mind waiting. It means time was put into the food prep... I hope? Anyway it came in 20 minutes and the driver called me 2x. I had to go down 6 flights of stairs, so I was not able to run down quickly. I assume by the second phone call that he was annoyed and I still have him a $5 tip for a $20 order. But the reason for the bad review is... they gave me some kind of sauce on the side that I didn't ask for. I've gotten both of these dishes before and there was never a boiling hot cup of sauce on the side (in a container it was too hot to be in). Needless to say, when I opened the bag, the sauce went everywhere (all over my computer on the table and all over anything else that was on the table). I was irate. Like I said I don't even know what it was for or if it was supposed to be in my bag. But, I called the place back because it really made a huge mess and it was likely because something that hot shouldn't be put in a flimsy plastic container (picture a dressing container). When I told the girl who answered she said "sometimes the lids don't be fitting on the containers" then she said sorry and hung up. I not only worked in restaurants for 10 years, but I delivered food too. Who you hire in the front and as a driver can make or break your business. I feel bad for the owner because like I said, the food is very good. If not for the dismissive girl, I would give this food 5 stars. But now I'll never order again. read more

I had the pizza maybe 3 times and every time was terrible. The sauce is weird tasting. Very sweet and paste like. The cheese is also something I've never seen on pizza before. Doesn't taste like cheese. Doesn't have the texture of cheese. The square I had this last time should not even be considered pizza. I'm giving their plain slice a very generous 2 1/2 stars the square would be a solid 1. I haven't tried their food nor do I plan to. Much better pizza in the area. Moving back to SI to hang out with my mom was a big change. Finding Gino's made life much easier. (We have tried all others locally.) No wanting to always cook for 2, we have had just about everything off the menu. Their chicken soup is so good, she gets it every time. All the dinners, chicken marsala and lasagna are our favorites and the little pizza bread rolls are so good. But what makes it the best is the people, the owners are caring and everyone we have dealt with have been so polite and friendly, (one night someone was bothering me and they even walked me to my car, who does that anymore.) First I have to say I've been going to Gino's Pizzeria for over 15 years.. the small pizza shop next to the old Pathmark now Stop and Shop. The pizza is fresh and delicious. This is a prime example of a cheap, Port Richmond non Italian owned pizzeria. The cheese is low quality, sauce is tasteless and not fresh, the dough they used the cheapest possible flour.
