This is what I sent to my attorney: I was disappointed when I saw your latest literature mentioning Mike Prieto - even though it just states that he is a colleague who refers to you, because my experience with him, after you referred him to me, was so unbelievably terrible. When my husband became ill, the nursing home refused to call a doctor or give me the name of the doctor who worked with this nursing home. When my son in MD was able to get the doctor's name and contact him, he was not happy that we had his phone number, but he did refer my husband to a hospital, where they said he had had a stroke and he died shortly after. I was furious that they had refused to call a doctor. I contacted Mike, as you suggested. Mike never spoke to me directly, instead Susan Pollock was my contact. She asked for all kinds of paperwork, including 200 pages of hospital notes, which I sent her immediately, along with a lot of other information on his history and events leading up to his hospitalization. Time went by - I called periodically and was told they were discussing it but had not yet decided whether there was a case or not. Then Susan went on vacation - more time went by. Finally they decided they did not think there was a valid case. She said something I didn't understand about something like the level of salt in his system which was in the hospital notes. By that time, it was too late to go to someone else. In my opinion, he does not measure up to your standards, and is completely unreliable.
