It is guarded by men in black, while the same band plays--simultaneously--for several neighboring restaurants. Dancing is prohibited for the first five hours. What is allowed is continuous acoustic bombardment from exhausted, second-hand loudspeakers. We were a group of sixteen friends, seated at separate wooden tables, placed back to back, with no real comfort or space. Chairs and backs rubbed constantly against guests from neighboring tables, creating a cramped, almost physical intimacy with strangers--hardly the setting one expects for a €550 New Year's Eve dinner. No tablecloths, cheap sticks and cutlery, and a layout that felt closer to crowd storage than hospitality. Conversation was impossible. Dancing was impossible. The music was too loud to talk over, too erratic to move to, and entirely indifferent to the people supposedly dining. The restroom experience deserves its own paragraph. Everything happens in individual cubicles, which explains the endless queues. Since women rarely enter alone--and men seem equally fond of company--the line appears to move but, in reality, never progresses. As for the food, the quality has already been discussed. What completes the picture is the combination of overpricing, crowd control, and staged exclusivity--a carefully choreographed rip-off wrapped in brand mythology and enforced by security. A New Year's Eve designed not for celebration, but for containment.

We wanted something different than Tapas for tonight and found this yummy Japanese restaurant. I…read moremade reservations and arrived late. Fortunately they were able to still sit us right away. The restaurant is surprisingly big inside. We followed the waitress through several rooms to the back where there were still many tables available. The decor is very cute like a very modern sushi place. We ordered the Chicken Gyoza and the Katsu Bao to start with and both were very good. We also ordered the Sibuya Roll, Classic Roll and the Underground roll. All the rolls were top grade and very tasty. For dessert we ordered the Carrot cake (just okay), death by chocolate (moist), and the Ichigo (frozen yogurt with strawberries on top in between two cookies. Everything about our meal was outstanding!!!

We had the 24 platter which was a nice start, added in a cooked one (they literally lit it on fire on table! Quite fun), and 2 veggie ones. Pretty impressed that 1. They had veggie ones and 2. They were quite tasty. The ambiance is nice, though oddly seems to be mainly couples tables, so the hostess wasn't sure how to handle 4. Only reason that it isn't a 5 star is that the service was spotty. Food (5 rolls) came out at five different times, and we were provided a roll we didn't order. They took it back (I would have kept/paid for it though as I know it is trash now). English is spotty here, so be ready to just show photos of online menu. Wasabi is out of a tube, and isn't very spicy. Also they don't provide much unless you ask 'me gustaria mas wasabi por favor'. But was good and hope to return.
