Galleria Numero 38 is a gem - the owner, Irio, poured us fabulous wine and was an absolute delight to speak with. We originally planned to go to the opera next door after apertivos here, but enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed. Bonus: you can hear the opera from the backyard garden where the drinks are served! The food turned out to be little morsels of deliciousness. Their on-site chef is amazing, and this little experienced turned out to be one of the most delicious ones in Lucca. I would definitely come back here next time. Generous pour of wine and nibbles, plus the chance to converse with a very interesting gallery owner and artist, in an art gallery. Very meta, and easily the best 5 euros you will spend on this trip.

Been in malls, outlets, independent shops. And then, almost at the end of our trip I got lucky. Found this shop here with some good offers (half price) on Italian-made vests. One brown, one black. They fit nicely and the quality is right. Cost 40 Euros each, which I found to be a good deal. Wanted to buy more, but these two were all they had in my size. Too bad. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really nice guys. If back in Lucca we will definitely come back here.

I found a game to bring back to the states for a friend of mine. When I brought it to the counter to pay, I was still shown no excitement or welcome. I simply paid and was on my way. The shop itself is definitely worth a visit. I would appreciate a little more acknowledgement or welcome as a customer, but I would certainly give the place a second try!

They made reading glasses, glasses that could be used for reading as well as working on the computer and glasses to wear that would supposedly help to close and far. None of them are right and I have tried to wear them for long enough to supposedly get used to them. I am now having to have all of the lenses changed at a different place.
