3rd time in one month. Never going back to the Willowbrook location. Used to be my favorite pizza in the world. 3 times got a really bad pizza, no sauce, very little toppings and way overcooked. Manager told me that she had several complaints last time and gave me a credit. Quote times are way off, always waiting 15 minutes or more when picking up. When they tell you to come in 40 minutes, arrive in 50, the wait 15 more minutes. I didnt mind in the past because the pizza was always excellent. They must have a hiring problem in the kitchen because these cooks dont know the standard. Staff up front is always great. read more

The food was good but tonight the service was absolutely horrible. It closed at 10:30 and we pre ordered the pizza out of respect for the staff not having to wait around. We got there at 10:18 and once we walked in the server who was a woman (I think her name was Gena) yelled to another co-worker WE CLOSE IN 10 MINS. Then she walked to our table, didn't look at us, threw or water glasses on the table and didn't come back to check on us. Worst thing is the pizza was already ready to go when we came in so we were done in 11 mins so it was 10:31. Very poor service. read more

Don't get me wrong with star rating. Giordano's has very good food, but this was a delivery order, which barely met expectations. It really was about the customer service over the phone. She failed to ask me what bread I wanted, which turned out to be tasteless herb bread cubes. I would have paid extra for garlic bread. Also, she didn't ask me for options on the lasagna. Maybe the meat is all they have. I would have preferred a spinach or vegetable lasagna. The taste of the meat lasagna was excellent. This won't dissuade me from using Giordano's, but next time I'll ask more questions. read more

In all my years of ordering food from restaurants, I have never had such a disappointing experience in my life especially on my birthday. The deep dish stuffed spinach pizza that I ordered and I so much like when not in a mood for non veg, was so disappointing in every way. . The middle layer of cheese was missing completely, the spinach wasn't completely drained of water (causing lot of leakage), and the crust was too hard. It was apparent that the pizza had been kept in the oven for an hour before we received it, which largely caused all the problems. When we finally got our replacement pizza, it was almost to perfection, except that the spinach still wasn't drained enough. The replacement pizza doesn't change the fact that our evening was ruined. I hate this night. I hate the anguish our family has gone through because of the errors. And I have serous doubts on whether to order from this place again. read more

I love Giordano's pizza (I'm Giordano's side on the war against Lou malnati's) but I have to give this particular location 2 stars purely for the attitude I got today. I was super excited to buy a frozen deep dish to bring back to California but the woman behind the counter treated me like I wanted to buy a baby. I did walk into the store 2 min before opening on a Sunday morning but all the doors were open and lights were on. We normally don't order pizza from here, but the family was craving some deep dish, and this was the first place that popped in our head. I will never order it again. I should've known something was going to be wrong when I was told the pizza would get here at 6:15 and it arrived at 5:30. We ordered The Special - which is sausage, mushroom, onion, and green peppers. I am 90% certain the pizza was frozen beforehand. It didn't taste fresh. My daughter ordered pepperoni pizza for all of us and I was embarrassed because the order was $50 and you had to search for the pepperoni. Sad, never had to question it before. #1, the best Chicago Deep Dish pizza. My review isn't so much about this location...more in regards to Giordano's. There is a war amongst several pizza places that all claim to have the best, or the 1st to make this style of deep dish. I've had them all, and they all have something different about them. Try them all, but my favorite will always be Giordano's. The bottom layer of crust is thinner than most of the others, but it is thick because of an inch layer of cheese. Giordano's is my favorite pizza, because they make the stuffed pizza. The stuffed pizza takes about 30 extra minutes, but it's totally worth it. We usually order sausage, but I recently ordered a stuffed pizza with arthicoke, spinach, and giardinera peppers. It was fantastic! Some people flip out when they get home to see their pizza hasn't been cut. They will cut it upon request. The leave it whole because it keeps everything from sliding around. So chill. I called in an order around 4:00 p.m. during the week, and my pizza was ready on time. This particular location is really dead at times, but on the weekends or after school events (there's a high school nearby) it is super busy. I've dined in at this location a few times and also never had any problems. I didn't have any issues picking up my order. One of the employees off to the side was loudly b*tching about some kind of coupons they don't accept anymore. Like, almost a meltdown over it. Nobody was even trying to use a coupon - she just went on and on about how "other locations" were accepting "fraudulent" coupons. I love Giordano's. So far it is my second favorite Chicago deep dish "stuffed" pizza after Barone's. I was thrilled when Giordano's offered a $25 Groupon for $12. That's about what a Large, 3-topping pizza will run you. I snapped that coupon up! I raved about the pizza to my out-of-town guest and we called ahead to place an order. Ours was a little different. We were coming to dine in, but these kind of pizzas normally take about 45 minutes from start to finish. I didn't want to sit and wait; I had errands to run. I wanted the pizza started and brought out to our table when we came to eat. It worked out perfectly! The patio seating was perfect for an August night. Service was great. The bus boy was on it. All empty tables were clean and recently vacated ones were picked up promptly. Our server was on it. He brought refill after refill and didn't mess them up. I'm a Diet Coke or Coke Zero with grenadine kind of girl, extra cherries! Our appetizer of garlic cheesy bread was brought out first, quickly followed by the pizza. And that's where it went from 5 stars to 4 for me. Apparently the Naperville location makes their own sauce and prepares the dough differently than the other locations. Aurora and downtown Naperville take after them, so if you bought from there you might not notice this. The server said reactions to it are across the board. Who doesn't love Chicago deep dish regardless of which suburb you are in? I'll admit, there is something about having a pie downtown that makes it even better - maybe its the water - but this off shoot does Giordano proud. While I've only done delivery and never opt to try anything but the large sausage deep dish, I'm always a happy camper. Waiting an hour for pizza sucks but I've come to realize that seems to be the norm for all non-chain pizza parlors out here. Giordano's is well worth the wait. Their staff was even kind enough to have the delivery driver bring plates, forks/knives (yes, you need a knife with this pizza), and all the cheese/hot pepper along with our pizza when we first moved in to our home and hadn't unpacked yet. You don't need to say much about Giordano's if you've lived in Chicago for a while. Fantastic deep dish, great flavors, a bit of grease to oil your pipes, and a very full belly when you are done. The usual tips apply - it takes at least 30 minutes to bake one of these bad boys so call your order in if you don't want to be waiting around. My PIC also tried a hand at the ravioli this time around. I wasn't a fan - great pasta and good meat but just kinda seemed like pasta and meat - I wanted a little more zing but I guess we got what we ordered. No fault of the chef. Very fast and very friendly service at this location. No rush to get out, and always there right when we needed the waitress - not a minute before or after. This is a great location to enjoy some of Chicago's finest pizza. read more

I'm a great fan of order delivery from this restaurant. It may take a while to have a deep dish delivered as it takes at least 30mins to cook it anyway but the wait is worth it. We order dinners from them and they are terrific. My standards are the cheese ravioli, Chicken Parmesan or the baked mostacholli. Serving sizes are enough for at least lunch or two lunches. The warm bread is yum but am not a huge fan of the salads or soups. Cheesy garlic bread is TO DIE FOR. Don't forget that they have desserts. nothing tops off a couch potato evening like a GIANT slice of CHOCOLATE cake. mmmmm Delivery guys are always friendly and the food is HOT. fyi: we've been to the restaurant twice and it was quite busy and loud. I love Giordano's. I go back and forth on what the best pizza is, but Giordano's is frequently at the top of my list. I am surprisingly one of the people who does not care as much for their deep dish though. I actually think its a little weird and personally I think Lou Malnati's has Giordano's beat by far when it comes to that. When it comes to the thin crust though I think that Giordano's is easily some of the best, if not the best, pizza I have ever had. We called in advance so that our deep dish would be ready by the time we got here. We came in and were seated, but it took quite a while for a waiter to come over to our table, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. For appetizers, we ordered the garlic parmesan fries and house salad - I loved the fries! Our deep dish, however, came out lukewarm, so we had to send it back to the kitchen to be heated up. I give this location 3 stars because the service needs work, but I will say that the quality of the food at Giordano's (especially their deep dish) is consistently good. read more

We order delivery from this location probably 1-3 times a month for the past 2 years, and are loyal customers. The delivery drivers are always very polite and kind. The people taking the orders are always great. However, what is really getting frustrating lately is almost every time we order from them (I'd say since we moved to the area), they manage to get something wrong about, or something gets excluded from, our order. We don't order anything complicated or make any modifications: a thin crust pizza, a salad, maybe 1-2 appetizers. But they always give us the wrong salad dressing, don't put bread with the salad (which is supposed to come with it), forget an appetizer, or add/don't add something that was requested. We've had to call back a few times (we really try to avoid that because we hate to complain). It's discouraging. We like the food they offer, but it's become commonplace now to have something wrong with every order at this point. Something gets lost in translation from the time the order is submitted to when it is being prepared. The staff needs a little more attention to detail with the delivery orders and this place would be solid. Giordano's offers good salads, which for the health-conscious folk like us is an important factor. It's actually one of the reasons we keep ordering from them. Unbelievable. We ordered calamari and a greek salad for delivery. Although we live 15 minutes away, it took about an hour and a half to get our food. Whatever, we'll wait for a good meal... What we received was disgusting. The box of calamari included a cold, fried assortment of asparagus, chunky bits of rubbery squid, and green beans. It was like they just threw some stuff in the fryer, let it sit out till it was nasty, dashed it with lemon juice, and tossed it in a cheap cardboard box. Bu the time we received it, it was inedible. We rarely do this, but we called to complain and ask for a replacement. The manager sent a driver with a replacement appetizer and it was even worse. This time, there were deep fried jalapenos in there! So cold, nasty fried garbage way overseasoned with lemon... and we got about half the portion of the original order that we barely touched. I'm wondering if the jalapeno was an attempt to troll us! Why the hell would there be fried jalapenos in an order of calamari!! It's not our first time ordering this particular appetizer, either- if it had peppers, I wouldn't have ordered it because I have no tolerance for spicy food. ALSO, the girl that took down our original order could best be described as simple-minded. She told me over the phone that the 'account number' and debit card number were the same thing. She also was baffled at our request of oil and vinegar as a salad dressing- c'mon, you can get that at Portillos without confusing the teenaged cashiers. I heard her ask someone if they could give us a side of oil, as though it were a foreign concept. We will never waste our money here again. The service was offensive when it wasn't laughable, and the food was absolutely disgusting. Oh, I'm being dishonest, the Greek salad wasn't horrible. But it also wasnt worth the money. read more

We ordered a meat and more meat deep dish pizza and it was a whole lot of meat!! I wish we had ordered a more plain (cheese or just pepperoni) pizza to try for our first deep dish. Was here with a party of 14 for my birthday lunch. We all love their pizza and will come for their pizza. That is the only reason to come here. The restaurant itself is cute and clean, the food is great but the service is just meh. Our server was not very professional and not attentive at all. We sat around for over 5 minutes without anyone coming to check on us. We were sitting without drinks for way too long and she did not come over to our table enough. I spotted the staff standing around in front of the kitchen most of the time. Stopping by to check on your table and ask them if they need anything is a nice touch, a touch that was not offered to us. We had to flag her down and i think she did not have another table besides ours. The restaurant was not very crowded. We ordered the wings and the mozzarella sticks for appetizers and we ordered a thin crust and a stuffed pizza. Both pizzas were delicious and we knew we would have to wait long for them so that was not a problem. Their food is delicious but they should really work on teaching their staff to be professional. I understand that most of the staff is young but that is no reason to not train them properly. read more

The food was excellent when we were at this location today. We got the bruschetta, buffalo wings, and a large pepperoni and mushroom deep dish. All of the dishes were good but the deep dish was the best we have eaten since moving to the Chicago area. Apparently Saturday afternoons are dead at this location but it was packed. Even with only one waitress, the food came on time. The waitress was nice and apologized for her slow drink changes. I ordered that one to go and still gave a tip. Tried delivery a few weeks later to see if it was better that way. It wasn't. Pizza was totally different than the one I ordered in person. Ordered a stuffed pizza online for pickup and was told 40-50 minutes it ended up taking 1:20...twice as long as stated. Lots of activity in the kitchen I was able to observe over the course of my :30 minute wait but not much leaving the kitchen!!! They do an incredible deep dish pizza. It takes about 40 minutes so call ahead and dine in upon arrival or be prepared to wait. Calamari is fantastic and done of the best I've every had! It's great for families and consistently good. The dessert selections are limited but very good. read more

First, the waitress has a very bad cold and is waiting on my table with my wife and kids and she is rubbing her nose and touching our silverware and bringing us drinks. Disgusting. Then as we finish an average meal at best, more people were coming in and she forgot about our table and went elsewhere. As she passed by and I asked for the check, she could see my kids acting up and ready to go so what does she do......goes and grabs an order from a large party at another table right after. In June 19, 2021 I visited the Giordanos Pizza restaurant. At around 8:30 my girlfriend, our 18 month old, and myself entered the facility. When the hostess saw me she asked, "How may I help you"? I felt as if this was an inappropriate question because obviously I either ordered a pizza over the phone or was there to be seated. Upon stating that we were there to be seated, a gentlemen next to the hostess instructed her not to seat us because they closed at 9pm. My girlfriend then asked if we could order our meal to go. Upon consulting with the same guy that I am assuming was the manager, he gave the ok. The hostess asked if I needed a menu. I felt as if this was also an inappropriate question, especially since I had been standing thsr for a couple of minutes waiting on a menu. I have never eaten at this restaurant ever in life. We had driven 5 hours from the St.Louis, MO metro area. Obviously I needed a menu. The hostess handed me a menu and then told me to let her know when I was ready. After looking over the menu, I went to the counter. As I was standing there, the hostess began text messaging via her cell phone. As she was doing so, a caucasian couple walked into the establishment. The hostess IMMEDIATELY stopped texting. She asked if they had called in. The couple replied "yes". Upon their reply, the hostess bypassed me and sat the caucasian couple at a table. I would think that if me and my party could not get seated due to the restaurant closing at 9pm, then no other parties should have gotten seated. Perhaps the manager and the hostess likened me and my patty as some low class African Americans due to me having locs. Obviously my black money was not valuable enough for service. The hostess was texting while I was waiting to place my order, which is a CLEAR intent to ignore. And then to add to insult.she seated a white couple after refusing service to me and my party. I really felt as if I was back in the year of 1931 and fighting for my civil rights. Based on my experience if you are African American, your presence is not wanted at the 119 S Main location of the Giordanos Pizza restaurant. As a result of the disrespect, my party and I left the restaurant. We ended up going to another pizza restaurant called "Fiammee". The food as well as the service was outstanding. Our bill was about 66 dollars from everything that we ordered. We left the host a $40 tip on top of the bill. Thanks to Groupon I got my $25 meal for only $ 12, yay! And, they let you use it towards ETOH, double yay! Had my first caprese salad and let it be known it won't be my last. De-lish and so fresh. It was exactly what I needed on an early spring night w/ my glass of wine. I didn't go for the deep dish, I'm a fan of Lou's for that. But since college I've been a fan of their deep dish, my favorite being sausage and pineapple. The sausage was nice and spicy and the pineapple sweet and they didn't skim on either ingredient. Not the best pizza in my life but nothing to complain about. Our server was sweet and she gave me a $5 gift certificate for my next purchase.
