UPDATE 2/6/17 HOURS OF OPERATION: MON - FRI 11 AM until 7:30 PM SAT, NOON - 8 PM SUN - CLOSED I parked out front today at 10:50 AM thinking they'd open at 11 ...don't know what made me think that, but I did. I began reading a review which said they were closed on Sunday and Monday so I decided to leave since the doors weren't opening and no one was anywhere in sight at 10:58. As I turned around, I saw lights coming on and decided to park in back and walk around. LUCKILY, They were opening and I walked in, noticing the painted window that had the hours posted. I've been craving their Gyros for over a week now, and I am ECSTATIC they're open today!!! ************************************** Deserves 10 STARS!! We rode by this place a hundred times and said one day we'd stop. Today we did. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. My hubby ordered the beef/lamb gyro and I ordered the chicken. I've never been more disappointed in pizza in my life. Honestly, I've had frozen pizza better than this. The employee was very friendly! (: However, I got a huge order for my family because of the reviews but I was highly disappointed! The shrimp in the Shrimp Scampi was overcooked, my pizza crust was burnt, the meatballs were undercooked, the garlic knots were hard, the garlic bread was oddly crumbly, and because of all of that... i didn't even try the lasagna. If based on its food (cheese, supreme pizza), gyros, and salad, it would rate close to 4/5, but based on our recent experience, one star is warranted. Visiting the nearby Ft Moore (Benning) for a graduation, It was raining so we did not want to eat out, thus the take out option. Menu and reviews were decent so we called and no one picked up. So option #2 was to order/pay via Yelp. Response was pick up in 15-37 minutes. We arrived about 20 minutes later and was informed it would be another 30-45 minutes before the food is ready. As we arrived, a couple left the restaurant stating no one waited on them for 30 minutes since sitting themselves. We already paid so was hesitant to cancel and order food from elsewhere. It was "comedy night" and the restaurant was filled with local supporters. Acts were okay - I would not pay admission to see their acts. We noticed that a couple that arrived after we did to pick up our food we're served a supreme pizza and Cesar salad - part of our order? Needless to say, not good optics - and the folks working did not seem to care. Food good - customer service bad. Recommend going elsewhere until there service greatly improves. read more

We had a cheese pizza & the barbecue pizza. Both were delicious as you can see in the second picture, there was nothing left! A little unique gem. We were looking for an early dinner on our way back to Pine Mountain from Columbus. Being from out of town, I used Yelp for help. The pizza here was fantastic! The garlic knots delish! There were 7 of us and we ordered Margarheta, Buffalo chicken, 4 meat- everyone was happy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The bathrooms need some TLC. And why unique? Starting out, I love the look of the Restaurant, no questions about it. Not only that, but the single employee in the storefront was beyond friendly and we had a very productive conversation about personal interests that we shared. Onto what I ordered, I had a Chicken Gyro with House Chips. The time was quite a bit, but I didn't expect for it to fast due to the single employee. I received my food, paid and tipped, then left. The Gyro was flavorless to say the least. It was stacked full with what i assumed to be sour cream or something similar, so it was plenty messy. The amount of the cream and veggies overpowered everything leaving nothing to be desired in terms of flavor, if there even was any. I made it to the chicken and of course, I could taste nothing to make it be worth the mountain of cream that was surrounding it. So the Gyro was disappointing. The House Chips were quite a bit better and had seasoning, which improved the experience a bit. However the seasoning was uneven in distribution and ended up the last one had the mass of seasoning at the bottom. All in all, Friendly staff, Nice environment, Food could be better, especially at it's price point. Would I recommend? Wasn't sure when we went inside, but ordered a Cuban sandwich and a Supreme pizza....waited a bit, but were they both ever worth it! I really wanted to like this place, but after I waited for over 30 minutes saw my companion's dinner come out, the dinners of three other groups (who came in after us) be brought to their tables and still no dinner for me, I cancelled my order. In the defense of the restaurant, after my husband complained on my behalf, the dinner was removed from our tab and they say they are giving it to me. That's good, but not the same as poor service. I won't be back and that makes me sad because this is a local restaurant and we try to always go local. They did give me my pizza and I must say, it is great. Everyone deserves a second chance. Giovanni's came up on a search for local eateries -- hate going to chains while on vacation -- and I enjoyed the experience. The place itself looks very much like a brick-and-mortar, corner pizzeria like one would expect in New York, and the inside is well-spaced out with TV's set to the sports and some local TV, and they even had some subdued decorations up for the holidays. Food was what you'd expect for a neighborhood pizza place, but it was the personnel that where things shined. Aaliyah greeted me, was quick with my order and some side items, and thankfully paid better attention than I was, stopping me from leaving without my credit card when the hour was getting late. Hope my leftover garlic knots are just as crisp when I reheat them tonight! (I need stop going to pizza places while on vacation. Accidentally went on a show night as it was the only place open late that had food I was actually interested in. Had to pay a cover for the drag show to be seated and order a pizza. Chairs were fairly uncomfortable, but the staff was pleasant the pizza was genuinely great, I'd say that it's the best in the area. Eventually the incredibly loud music and and bad chairs made me grumpy so I left before the show actually started. I'd give the pizza itself high marks, but I'm definitely too tired and grumpy as a person to hang in that kind of environment. read more

Went here last week and it was a great experience. Had a party of 5 and the place was empty when we arrived. Our bartender/ server/ hostess was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the bbq pizza which was hands down the best I've ever had. We ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer which we're really good and not at all greasy like other places. We each got small pizzas and one in our group got a margarita which he said was good. My daughter and I had a lunch date and decided on Giovanna's. I'm from NY so I know good pizza and even in Manhattan the prices were way cheaper than this place. After giving the restaurant a good looking over it was filthy. The person in the kitchen looked like she worked as a mechanic, dirty hands and no gloves to cover them. First I'll preface this with the fact that, I love pizza. I'm from the Philly area so maybe my opinion on pizza is skewed since we have much better pizza. This pizza which was a small 10" pepperoni pizza cost $14.45 (that's a lot for a one topping small pizza). The pizza was not good what so ever. If your looking for a decent meal, drive right by this place. It was the worst service and food I've had in possibly ever. On first glance food seemed fine. Ordered a Calzone and it's like the vegetables in my Calzone were chopped by a caveman with a club. Which if you're a foodie or work in the food industry you know it makes your crust very doughy. Got charged $2 per topping onto of the cost of a specialty Calzone because"I didn't want meat". My gyro tasted like they poured yogurt on it and skipped making Tzatziki altogether. It was 40 dollars for a Calzone, gyro and mic ultra with no sides. Do yourself a favor and eat your wallet and debit cards if your that hungry. It'll cost you less, you'll be more satisfied and you won't have to call your card company for a fraud charge......(edit on my original review. My boyfriend wanted to go out to dinner and I wanted Doordash yet thankfully Door dash totally screwed our order up lol so we ended up going to Giovanna's. From the moment we walked in, it felt incredibly authentic and the staff was very polite and attentive to us. I was also so impressed with what the restaurant was doing for kids/teens. They had an event for them all day and that evening , they had a DJ for teen night. Very very impressed with the thoughtfulness of that action and you could just tell the kids were excited. Jayshon, the Dj let me sing a song for my boyfriend which was amazing. We had an incredible dinner. The lasagna, calzone and pizza were delicious and my boyfriend commented that the whole experience reminded him of Italy. I recommend this place 110%. An incredible evening, with beautiful people (the staff), the most phenomenal man whom I love with all my heart, great food and a cool way to show my love by the dj allowing me to sing . This is perhaps the worst pizza that I've had in months. Please see the picture below. Since when does fresh and warm pizza look like reheated pizza from three days ago? The only reason why I came twenty minutes from my house was because my husband wanted to have the Cuban sandwich (also see picture below). Since when has a Cuban sandwich ever been so dry that, even if you poured 16 ounces of water on it, it would still be dry? I gave this place a second chance after a bad experience from Grubhub. They do not except Grubhub orders and did not ask to be placed on their list. HOWEVER I did take me and my fam in to pick up food and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. On top of that I got to meet the owner and his wife and they treated us great. Will be back! Food is delicious but the owner can be quite abrasive, almost antagonistic. Every time we have gone to eat here we are greeted and promptly told we are not a fast food restaurant. I don't need to be told this for a sit-down restaurant. Last time I was in there it was also on a sign hanging over the cash register. I get that they want to set an expectation for wait times but there is a more tactful way of doing this that they have not found as of yet. Also you cannot ask to alter a meal because the owner seems to get angry for that as well. Again the food is delicious but the focus on customer service not so much. read more
