Let's be clear, my only affiliation with this school is because it's my voting location…read more I think I will request to change my polling place because of the last couple of voting experiences. One time I was handed a republican choice instead of making the choice myself as I am non-partisan and I like to make educated choices. After a bit of a haggle I was finally given both to make one choice, either Dem or Rep. I also take issue with this as non-partisan I should be able to choose across party lines. This last time, voting for POTUS which I will now refer to as POTATO, the machine that accepts the file was malfunctioning so that I had to take it out of the privacy slip and slowly feed it. Of course the guy manning the machine was using slips and his body to shield my vote, it was apparently beyond the school to build a make shift privacy curtain. Bah! Ruin my voting life!

One of the maintenance men saw my situation and was very, very helpful in getting my tire changed and getting me out of the driveway in time to avoid the afternoon student pickup rush. I visited East High as a coach for football…read more I can't say much about the inside other than to say the locker rooms were clean. The parking lots and entrances are the main focus of this post. There are lots of entrances, but not ease of movement between them. If you're going to a football game, you'll want to enter from Bragaw street. There are two parking lots. If you're coming from Northern lights you'll want to turn right on the road past the back edge of the school nearly to the housing development. I think they should install signage directing people to try field (and other locations). I spent quite a bit of time entering parking lots only to exit them because they weren't connected.

The second floor has several College partners for people wanting to further their education. There is also a great coffee shop at the entrance that is a life-saver when you are stuck in long classes.

They then send you an email end of day on a Friday so you miss when the office is open and have to wait all weekend to help. By the time I get my check it will be 1 week since school started and I have no supplies. I wish the school would think about the students a little bit more.

I was a poor student and needed all the help I could get-small classes and instructors who took the time to assist me made all the difference! My focus was in the hospitality field, one that is no longer offered since the professor has retired from teaching. Being in the heart of Anchorage and the center of the trail network allows any student the opportunity to get outdoors as much as possible, which I did a lot. Well I am very thankful that this institution exists and you can go there and ask for assistance…read morewith important things while you are transitioning looking for work or going to school I have had two caseworkers at Ninestar now and can I just ask to treat some people with dignity and not talk to them with sarcasm I'm sure that there are people that try to abuse the system but I am not and I just want to be spoken to like a normal human being I don't need the sarcasm I hate having to ask for assistance especially because of the ways that one is spoken to it is not dignifying and I cannot wait to be out of school to have a job with good income and not ever need assistance again I hope that never in my life I need assistance again and if you're working with Ninestar I would highly recommend to have all your documents in order and to provide the papers not on the day when you are supposed to provide them but either the same day, the day before, or the day after they request you to bring the stuff in! because it does take them a while to get back with that. you stop in to send emails to leave messages it still takes them a while probably because they are working on a lot of people, given, and they have a high volume of clients but if you don't have time for that then I suggest that you stay on top of them and that you turn in everything sooner way sooner than they wanted and you keep track of everything then maybe things will be done on time from their end and you will receive in time what you need perhaps and of course let's not forget to be thankful that that institution is there at all!! I wanted to give only two stars but I am so thankful for the help and that is why am giving three stars but the way I'm being spoken to I do not appreciate it at all at all at all!

If u move to Anchorage I would recommend Northwood. Staff is amazing. Mr Norman and Ms hersh are my favorite teachers. Honestly amazing school for all ages.
