I am a regular at this hookah bar/restaurant. By far, it has the most consistent hookahs and I visit this place around twice a week. The waitresses are friendly, they have a full bar, and a 1 drink minimum rule. The hookahs are priced between $18-22 and you can get a glass lavoo hookah with a free refill for $45. The coals are changed regularly without asking. Try taking the Araz Special hookah which is a mix of 3 flavors and lasts long. The food is okay, nothing to rave about. read more

The pita bread was stale and the Maanek sausages tasted old. The drinks were overpriced with no free refills. And they included an 18% gratuity for our party of three. Honestly, the service was barely worth a 10% gratuity, what with the waitress forgetting part of our order and then having to be asked more than once for salt and then later for a to-go box (and I would have preferred entering the tip myself) and the $100 we paid for our food should have been more like $60. Don't bother going unless you're there for the hookah and the atmosphere. read more

Being an AVID hookah smoker this is the spot. 2 outdoor patios, huge indoor ballroom type space with dance floor and DJ booth. This is one of the classiest cleanest hookah lounges I've ever been to in CA and in other states. Recently they added a bunch more couches and group seating, along with traditional tables. They also have a projection TV on a huge screen inside plus 2 flat screens. During summer they have a second projection screen outside on the middle patio. 3 different brands of tobacco, full bar and amazing Lebanese food what more could you ask for? I've been going to Gitana for 4 years now and it gets better with age. The employees are always happy to help you as long as you aren't rude and you never have to wait on coals. In response to Hookah R's post about the coals: The coals they use are all natural wood charcoal. Yes it does come in big paper bags like BBQ coals but come on use your brain! If I had a fire pit going at home I would def use them over chemically saturated/altered insta-lights. read more

There are not enough words I could use to describe this place. It literally is like a home away from home for me and my friends. Service is amazing because the staff is extremely friendly and on top of their service. They make the hookah just right, everything from traditional to Starbuzz, to Fumari, to Tangiers. They even have Fumo hookahs by request. The food is amazing and drinks? Well, they all speak for themselves, as they have a full bar and they always cater to each and every one of your requests. I came here on a Friday night and it was packed!!! I had to wait a good 30-40 min but it was well worth the wait .. They even text and let you know when your table is ready.. We had the pleasure of getting heather as our server. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome ! On top of that she had some good recommendations on favors and had a great sense of humor. The one thing every business has control over is how they treat their customers. And we got treated so poorly. I went Sunday night with two of my friends. We sat outside because they wanted to smoke. We were ignored when looking for a table, we were ignored after we seated. We sat for at least 20 minutes before the waitress acknolwedged us. 15 minutes later, we got our drinks. 25 minutes after that, we got the vegetarian combo we ordered. This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST! I come here every so often with my friend because it's close to my house, but I'll definitely be looking for a new hookah place. The hookah is decent, nothing to write home about, but that's really not the problem here. The true problem is THE SERVICE. The have the worst staff I've ever encountered in the Glendale/Burbank area, which is saying a lot. The coal dudes take forever to come back most of the time, instead choosing to wander off to hang out with the customers they know. The waitresses....I don't even know where to begin. I don't know the name of the waitress we had last time, some tall-ish blond, but she was the worst waitress I've ever had in my life. It took forever for her to come over and take our drink order, it took about 20 minutes for her to come back with water and soda, and after that, she basically turned into a ghost. She brought us our drinks, and then decided to disappear for 2 HOURS. She was gone so long that while we were sitting there waiting for our check, every other patron left, and the other waitress began to shut off the music, clear the tables, and begin sweeping. The place literally closed around us. We finally got the other waitress to tell ours to bring us the check, and then she disappeared again. We waited another half an hour for her to come back, before finally deciding to just get up and find her ourselves. She'd wandered outside to flirt with some of the guys smoking out there, and when we tried to catch her attention it took her another 5 minutes to come over and run our cards. I've never wanted to punch another human being that much in my life! Although that was the worst service I've received there (or really anywhere), the other times I've gone there haven't been much better. If you don't like being completely ignored while smoking mediocre hookah, then then I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I went in today, and had a terrible experience I ordered one hookah and one coke, I really didn't like the flavor it was really harsh. Our waitress didn't come to our table in at least 20 minutes and when she finally came around I asked if I can speak to the man who made the hookah, he comes over and I ask him if I can get a different flavor and he said too much time has passed by so I would have to be charged as a refill. It frustrating because it was too late to switch out the flavor because our waitress never came back around until it was too late. I agreed to the refill because I didn't want to cause an issue. So again our waitress never came back so I had to go inside to get my bill and it came out to $51 for one hookah which is $26 and a $4 coke with a $10 refill. They have a mandatory 18% gratuity fee which I would be more than happy to pay for if I had the service. Our waitress spent her time at another table with a group of guys that were hitting on her, overall a bad experience and I can't get my money back oh well guess I won't be going there again. read more

I absolutely love Gitana! First off the food is amazing!! Everything is fresh and always comes hot! I have been coming here for 10 years! Service is amazing! Ask for Heather, Amanda or Tanya! But honestly everyone is great! They have a full bar and Starbucks! They even have house speciality drinks like the Gitana punch, or peach iced tea cocktails! As far as hookah goes they have an extensive hookah list, all ranging from al fahker to Tangiers! By the way they have been serving Tangiers for over 7 years and actually pack it the right way!
