I came in during COVID for a sub. It was fresh and yummy. Exactly what I would expect from a good deli. I marked off a star because both the ladies there were not wearing masks properly and even had partially exposed mouths. Great for everything- salads are fantastic, we get the subs all the time and while I'm there I often grab something (lasagna, stuff shells, eggplant parm, meatballs) to take home for dinner. Italian cold cut... probably could do without the pepper spread but the portion was huge!! Yeah, yeah, I'm a wimp with my spices! Maybe I'll ask for a smidge next time. This is a solid spot. The owner is retired Army which is a huge bonus since my husband is currently active. I wish the parking situation was better. It's a no frills on point local joint. Cutest little Italian spot I have seen in a long time! Imported Italian groceries, cheeses, meats. I could have spent all day in there. As it was, I just stopped in to get a bite to eat on my way out of town. The owner was very nice and hooked me up with prosciutto, mozz & balsamic on a half hoagie roll for just $5. You don't get prosciutto anything for just $5! That's awesome- I expected it to be pricier. This place is the real deal! If only Westminster wasn't so far out of the way of everything! read more

Carroll's Best Deli according to Carroll's Best magazine. I would agree. I like the fact they have access from a parking lot and main street. They do a lot of different things too- pit beef, crab soups, italian dishes to take home and cook yourself, deli sandwiches. The deli meet is very fresh and good. My only real problem is that the person preparing my sandwich did not wear gloves. I assume his hands were clean, but I would have really liked to see them wearing gloves. Also, I got a hot pastrami sandwich and it was put in microwave instead of on a cooktop. read more

We had our rehearsal dinner here tonight, and it was amazing! We worked closely with Bill to plan the menu: Italian sausage and peppers to start, with garlic bread, salad, two kinds of pasta (vegetarian baked ziti and lasagna with meatballs), and cannoli for dessert. Bill was super easy to work with, really accommodating and flexible. We got to use their back room to hold the dinner, and they put out flowers on the tables and let us choose the music. It was super low key and casual, which is what we wanted; it was important to us to have a relaxing night before the big day, and Giulianova did not disappoint. Most importantly, everybody loved the food! We got compliments all night. And at the end of the evening, they boxed up our leftovers for us because they knew we were entertaining out of town family. Would definitely recommend for small private events (our group was about 12 people). read more

I miss working in westminster because of this place. Pure authentic Italian. Get the Italian sub, just get it, and let him do what he wants, he is a master. There is a little grocery store with Italian imports which is great but just go and get anything he makes there. Did I mention the Italian sub? My mouth is watering. The ingredients are always fresh and the owner makes everyone feel right at home whether you've been there 100 times or this is your first visit. The crabcakes, when crabs are in season, are also very good. You can buy a complete meal to take home with you. In the Spring and Summer, they have pit beef, pit ham, and pit turkey, all to die for. This place is amazing. The food is incredibly delicious, and the staff are very friendly. And to boot, it has a great hometown deli atmosphere. It's great having people who really care make your food. Try everything, especially their Italian cold cut and their canoli. It's the best part of Westminster in my opinion. Went in with 5 year old granddaughter who just had her tonsils out. Greasy looking guy says Hi. My granddaughter couldn't really talk and waved instead. He said" when someone says hi to you you say hi back that's socialization" I said " she just had her tonsils out yesterday" he said " I don't care!" We left without our drinks. Words do not describe this place on the level of taste the food has. Billy knows what he is doing no matter what he is making. The pit beef is only done a few times a year and when he does the line is out the door. The rest of the year the Italian chicken salad and the Italian cold cut is to die for. ( You also can get it on a bed of greens if your gluten free). All the soups are made from scratch daily. I drive 15 minutes to go here for lunch at least twice a week. Very nice spot on Main Street! The owner is very nice and accommodating and the products are all top notch. We have used the catering services a few times and the food has always been delicious. They make a great Italian green salad, chicken parm, and tortellini salad! If you want a dinner for a small group and don't have time to cook, it's the best! In addition, the fresh cold cuts, cheeses, and frozen items are yummy as well! The very best thing is their sandwiches! I'll get this out of the way first.. The food at Giulianova's is not the problem. In fact, as other reviewers have noted... the chicken salad, shrimp salad, lasagna and sandwiches are all very good. However, my wife usually does the shopping so I've never actually seen the inside of this place but when I came in here for the first time recently I was so turned off by cleanliness of the establishment that I just HAD to write this review. The older of the two refrigerators on the floor (where the meat is kept) is grotesque. Looks to me like there's more mold and bacteria inside than there is food. Just looking around the place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. It's old, rundown and in desperate need of an upgrade. But perhaps even worse is the OWNER's attitude...the last time I came in here, he was eating with his hands while making someone's sandwich with his hands and then ringing people up on some filthy old register with his hands! AAHHH!! Not a glove in sight. That was enough to make me completely sick and not want to ever support this place again. The best part is that the owner is slow as hell in serving people and also complains about how this "town" is difficult to people. Uh, no my friend, you are the difficult one. You have a prime location on main street.... you should be killing it. But I'm guessing you're not because your attitude sucks and your establishment is gross to look at. It's tragic because the food here is decent. I just can't stand it when restaurant owners are so apathetic about maintaining standards for cleanliness. read more

Bill is a great guy - friendly, a foodie, loves his business & customers. While we work elsewhere & live in Westminster, we visit as often as we can. You could easily put this place in Philly's Italian Market and it wouldn't be out of place at all.
