Just to be clear, there are two buildings to this restaurant; a pizzeria and a sit-down Italian restaurant. We ate at the sit-down restaurant. The hostesses were friendly offering menus to view on the sidewalk. We were shown to a nice table on the second floor balcony overlooking Canada Street. The décor was a bit dated but read as "classic" Italian. Our server, Sam, was friendly and efficient as were the other wait staff. The restaurant offered several specials that were not on the menu. Nice wine selection. Ordered chicken marsala which was good and a steak which was overcooked but okay. Side dishes and bread were good. Prices were reasonable. read more

Amazing restaurant. The pizza was FANTASTIC. My children devoured the pasta. The man working (I forgot to get his name) gave me samples of his handmade sangria and raspberry Long Island iced tea which were so incredible tasing, you HAVE to get it. This place is not the greatest if your looking for an Italian restaurant do not go here. The sauce was fake a tasted like throw up aftertaste and chicken was also fake. Everything was frozen and heated up most likely and restaurant depot food is served here and I was being rushed to eat my food by some guy, he was standing 4 feet away from my table staring at me eating and I felt rushed and unhappy I didn't eat the pizza but it's probably not good if you want to try go ahead I do not recommend. read more

We've eaten here once a year for the last 20 years. It's traditionally the first meal of our trip to lovely Lake George. This year is different though. This had been a mostly open air restaurant but this year they built a wall so you are mostly enclosed. Probably forced to build it due to the new hotel that was built next door. So it's just a little too claustrophobic for my taste. The food is still very good for the most part. I had some boneless wings seasoned in garlic and Parmesan. Very tasty. My meatball parm hero was good, my daughter's grilled chicken salad was delicious, but my wife's stuffed "vegetable" pizza slice was topped with just three(!) small pieces of broccoli. Not very veggie. I'll probably give it another shot next year though! read more

The Best Western hotel recommended this place for pizza (delivery) so we ordered a large Bianca. My son ordered salami, pepperoni and mushrooms on his side; I had salami and mushrooms. I hate to write this review as a negative one towards the restaurant because the food and staff were wonderful. The reason I'm writing this review is because last week I was there dining in the outside area around 5pm with family friends and my 2 yr old toddler (who is not the best and most well behaved diner as most toddlers tend not to be) when a hostile and horrific elderly man and his wife stood up and proceeded to threaten the people at my table that if my 2 year old daughter doesn't shut the hell up, there was going to be a problem. She was giggling at one of the other people at my table when this man started to make rude and profane comments towards my daughter. He and one of the men at my table who was defending my daughter almost started to get physical because this disgusting man would not stop mouthing off about my daughter. I understand that people go out to dine and do not want to hear the yelling, talking, giggling, or voices of children but I was extremely taken back that this place was in fact a family friendly restaurant in lake George none the less, one of the most family friendly vacation destinations in New York. As I stated my toddler is not one to sit and be quiet, that is why I was out at a family establishment, sitting outside at 5pm. Every table in the entire outdoor area had at least one child seated at it. I'm very disgusted that this man wasn't asked to leave. I feel that it was unfair that we had to leave. Again, the food was great and our waitress was so sweet, but I'm horrified with my experience there and don't think I'll be returning. read more

Customer service stinks. They don't tell you the specials unless you ask. They place tables on top of one another. They don't know the different types of lettuce that goes in a salad only that it is green. Would not recommend this place read more

Wow! Just wow! So 2 stars just because they deliver. But the pizza was the worst we have ever had!! They forgot to put cheese on it and the sauce was bland. Another star goes to the Italian Sub we had. Pretty good... a lil dry but not bad. Wouldn't go back! read more

We went here last night for dinner after reading the reviews on Yelp. The 3 1/2 stars is misleading. I would give this place zero stars if it was possible. The one star is because the service was okay and they served warm bread. Our dinner was awful. Pizza was made with the cheapest ingredients, soup was from a can and salad was barely very basic with "homemade" dressing that tasted like it came out of a jar. The menu prices were outrageous with pasta upward of $20. Save your money and eat somewhere else. The owners should be ashamed to serve such low quality food. read more

My family and I have been coming to Giuseppe's in Lake George for as long as I can remember. We've seen so many businesses open and close over the years . Some are so delicious and then a few years pass and everything starts to lack in flavor and quality . This is not the case with Giuseppe's . This is probably my most favorite restaurant on Canada Street . It's outdoor , casual , the staff is great and The owners are WONDERFUL ! We ate there three times in the past week . We had salad, mozzarella sticks, chicken parmigiana, chicken bacon ranch pizza and regular pizza . It was absolutely DELICIOUS . The best part is that you know the quality you are getting . It's just as delicious as it was 20 years ago. I can eat there every day and never get tired of it !!!! This is definitely five star . If you haven't been there you are missing out ! read more

This place was a pleasant surprise. I usually eat at Gino and Tony's on the strip for Italian, but wanted to try something new. I ordered chicken Parm and my fiancé ordered shrimp scampi. Both dishes were pretty good. Pasta tasted fresh and tomato sauce was good. Chicken was a little tough though like it had been cooked too long. Had the Raspberry Long Island iced tea made with the moonshine next door to drink and it was delicious. Overall the food and service was about 3 stars. I am giving 4 because in comparison to other restaurants on the strip it is much better than the frozen bar food they offer. Give it a shot! read more

Great service! The pizza wasn't amazing but everyone was very nice and kept checking in on us. Loved the penne a la vodka!

We went to the more casual of the two buildings. We found the pizza really good. It's done in a New York-style (no surprise there). We had the plain and the chicken bacon ranch. The sauce was a little salty for my taste, but quite good. Excellent crust. The portions for the salads were a little small for the money, but the wings were good. Excellent service. This place is trash. Overpriced garbage "Italian" food. The salad is $4.95 but apparently Caesar dressing and a couple croutons is an extra $5. The service was slow. The language barrier was rough and the manager was rude. Oh and none the less the food was shi**y and overpriced. read more

I have eaten here a few dozen times over the years. This time was for lunch. I had the Italian sub which was huge for $10. My wife also had one, if we remembered how big they were we would have split one. They are a little drier and less spicy that they used to be. We got a slice of stuffed pizza and some canolis to go. I went here for spaghetti and meatballs to carb up. So my criteria is just no egg noodles with catsup. The meal met expectations. However, for $18.50 I would have hoped for a meal that wowwed me. The pasta was cooked well, but the fairly plain tomato sauce was just dumped on top. The meatballs (2 as advertised) were decent sized and tasty. Overall the dish was middle of the road, and a good size portion, so I was happy with that. The service was good and our waitress was attentive, but she was unsure about a couple of the specials. Latter in the meal were overhead the specials for another table that were different than we had been told which was odd. The waitress was also pretty honest, when asked if the chocolate cake was good, her response (body language / inflection) said that it was just alright. All in all this place is overpriced but at least the portions and taste are ok. read more

Zero stars. We used to stop here every year on our way home from our lake house, mostly for the convenience of its location. This time we had our dogs. There is outdoor seating so we asked our waiter if we could have them with us (it was a hot day and we didn't want to leave them in the car). The waiter said of course and even opened a back door so we could bring them in. As we were getting ready to order, another waiter with a rude puss on his face came over and said we could not have our dogs because he had allergies and mentioned a health code. No one but him cared about our dogs, they were not disturbing anyone. He told us we could tie them up on he other side of the railing; where there was no shade and in the parking lot where god forbid they got loose or hit by a car. Suffice to say we left, we care more about our dogs than their sub par Italian food. Point blank all wait staff should be on the same page regarding policies and being rude is not a hallmark of customer service. We will not be giving them our business ever again. read more

Food in Lake George is below par. Especially on Canada Street. You end up shoveling out big bucks for fast food quality meals.... That said, this restaurant was not like the others. We were seated promptly, the service was good and the pizza was delicious. We tried their fried calamari which was decent. Will eat here again if I return to Lake George. read more

Driving around the Lake George area, we decided to get something 'to go' and bring back to the hotel. So we ordered some pasta dishes (Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna) but when we got back, were badly surprised by how ridiculously small the portions were. In NYC, where one expects everything to be expensive, we normally get an entire 8 inch round aluminum platter full of pasta with three meatballs for 10 bucks. Giuseppe's gave us about one quarter the amount of pasta, with only two meatballs and charged us 13 bucks. Their lasagna was also threadbare, with only three sheets of 3 x 6 inch pasta and two layers of thin, no ricotta meat sauce filling. I normally would expect at least seven or eight layers of pasta, robustly filled with ricotta and meat sauce for a dish to even call itself lasagna. For that paltry dish, we also paid 13 bucks. We also had a burger deluxe, which was pretty decent, and the chicken wings were nicely done. My advice? Stay away from the pasta. They're a rip off and you'll still be hungry afterwards. read more
