One of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. if not the worst! What happened to this place? Cheese and Pepperoni. Very Greasy and Salty, hardly any cheese, and tons of pepperoni stacked on top of each other not distributed evenly on the pie! The dough was not cooked fully. No paper on the bottom of the cardboard to catch the grease. Just thrown on cardboard like a prehistoric human, Never Again!

Let's just start by saying 1st impressions can be wrong. Pulling into thos strip mall, we saw the Giuseppe's sign tucked into the corner. Walking inside, it looked like a small deli/pizza type of place. Not that that's a bad thing. it just wasn't what I expected. Well, it was definitely uphill from there. Overall, an EXCELLENT experience. It was a private party for about 30 people in a pretty room with great old photos on the wall. It was served buffet style. The whole meal tasted great with my favorite being the chicken parmesan. The chicken was moist with a nice coating and covered with delicious what I'd describe as homemade sauce. It's not too sweet like you get in some places. Freah homemade rolls were served with the meal.Dessert was an Italian cookie platter. All so good. Besides the food, the service was also great. We had just the 1 server for our whole group, and she did a fantastic job. She quickly took care of all our requests, including drink orders. Sorry I didn't get her name. This place is definitely on our list of places to go in future visits to Rochester. Oh yeah, we grabbed two delicious creamy cannolis on our way out. 2023-60

I order with extra sauce. This is what I get. They need to learn how to cut a hot pizza. They now suck.

They USED to be great. Now they are an embarrassment to the Italian Town of Gates. It's like they have 15yr olds cooking. 4 of the last 5 pizzas have been horrible. I'm done ordering here. Worse, they don't even care.

    Catered- half pan chicken parmesan.

I ordered a sheet pizza with 3 toppings. When I brought it home and opened the box I was at first disappointed. They really skimp on the toppings. But I tried a slice and the flavor was so good I didn't care that they didn't put that many toppings on. It's a thick crust pizza..which I am not usually a fan of. But this crust is not like most thick crust pizzas...it's more "bready" than chewy...almost reminding me of French bread pizza that I really enjoy. The sauce they use is very tasty as well. It has a strong tomato flavor, like they made it from crushed tomatoes. In fact the sauce was so good I wish I would have told them to put extra sauce on it. The slices that got overly charred tasted like when I put olive oil on French bread and put it on the grill...So good! This was one pleasant surprise..I am the type of person that likes a lot of toppings on their pizza. That is why I ordered 3 of them. Seeing that they skimp on the toppings bummed me out, but the flavor of the pizza made me overlook it. Which is Very rare. I wish I could post some pictures of the pizza I got but my family started devouring it almost immediately..we all were surprised at how tasty it was..I had a feeling this is how pizza tasted back in olden days..truly old fashioned pizza.

We had a nice experience here. The service was friendly and timely. I ordered the clam pizza which was flavorful and had many tender clams that think were canned. The cannoli filling was delicious and the shell crispy.

I ordered the pasta and shrimp special, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my daughter is vegetarian and ordered the Gnocchi Rossi, which was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and was very bland compared to my meal. The biggest downside of our visit was the service. We were trying to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time together, but our waitress interrupted us constantly--almost every time we took a bite. We repeatedly assured her that everything was fine, yet she continued coming back to the table. At one point, while we were still actively eating, she asked if we were ready for boxes. When I said no, she replied, "Oh, okay, you're just taking your time." It definitely felt like we were being rushed rather than encouraged to relax and enjoy our meal. To top it off, we were never offered dessert or after-meal options. Despite feeling a bit rushed and annoyed by the constant interruptions, we still left a good tip because the waitress was working hard and remained polite. Overall, the food was a mixed experience, the atmosphere was wonderful, but the service made what should have been a relaxing mother-daughter lunch feel hurried.

The restaurant was quite crowded during Friday happy hour, and one server was responsible for both the tables and the bar. He was clearly overworked, so we were not attended to as consistently as we hoped and we only had time for one round of orders. The food took a long time to arrive, while the drinks came out almost immediately. *Cosmopolitan Bianca: was very heavy on the gin. I could only taste the lime, with no hint of cranberry or hibiscus. The hibiscus reduction added a pretty purple color but did not provide any tart or floral flavor. *Sweet Potato Fries: were not perfectly crispy, but the portion size was generous. The honey could have used additional spices, since the dish leaned heavily toward sweetness. *Pepperoni Pizza: This was a good shareable option, although it lacked a proper char and crust even when fresh. The dough sat in a noticeable amount of salty oil. The pepperoni cupped nicely and added a slight bit of texture, but the rest of the pizza was rather soggy. The happy hour menu was serviceable, but nothing was executed particularly well. It is not a bad spot for small bites after work, but I would not go out of my way to dine here.

Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

So for the prices Delmonicos is charging, it should have been an amazing steak. The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection at our request of medium rare. But the steak was way too over seasoned and the accompanying pasta way over done. Also I think the pasta sauce came from the gas station down the street. We also tried the 12-ounce salmon (which is a massive portion of salmon). It came over a risotto that tasted way too salty and under a Gorgonzola cheese that actually made me vomit in my mouth a little. So why 2 stars instead of 1? We were greeted by the hostess, that I believe was either the owner or part manager of the restaurant. She sat us down and gave us menus (didn't mention the specials) and then proceeded to go and turn on all of the Christmas decorations in the restaurant and tell us about her deals when purchasing all of them. Finally upon her return the waitress took our drink orders and when I asked she gave us the listing of specials for the evening. My niece had a specialty mocktail that was described as having a "hint" of lavender- turns out the other items were done with a hint and all my niece (and I tasted) was the strong presence of lavender. For appetizers we ordered fried calamari that came with the typical red sauce- the fried calamari was good, but nothing special. We also ordered the lamp lollipops for an additional app and let me just say- they were the BEST part about our dinner! Perfectly cooked to medium rare and seasoned and grilled to perfection. It was my neices first time trying them and she said she couldn't wait to have them again. For our main dishes, my niece had the penne vodka- which was "okay" but really lacked on favor, nothing really special about it. I honestly think she makes it better at home. For my entree I had the Salmon- which came with a very thick strawberry sauce over the top of it. My fish was cooked perfectly and tasted great- without the thick "strawberry like" sauce over the top of it (I ended up scraping it off of the fish. I also wasn't a fan of the black rice-it had a very off putting smell and after having my first taste decided one bite was enough.
