They have tried to cover up several race wars and school shootings. You are much better off going to Fayetteville state or another school in the area. After 4 years I still have trouble getting certain things done because this school rather be petty than to just do their assigned job. I highly do not recommend especially if you are of African American descent and advise you to reconsider.

I'd been to the Annual Lumbee Powwow before when it was at the Lumberton Farmers Market seven years…read moreago but it's since been moved to the Cultural Center in Maxton. I had a great time there in the past and I was excited when a powwow friend of mine who lives near me wanted to go. We loaded up our stuff and drove the 5.5 hours to get there. Parking was a little weird as the dancers had to register at the boys and girls club then drive over to the cultural center grounds. Spectators had to park at the club and take a shuttle over. We then had to register at the grounds to compete in the dance competition. The dancing throughout the weekend was great. There were many good drums in attendance, even one from as far as Washington State. Everyone was being polite and friendly but come competition time everyone had their game face on. The powwow committee even held special dance contests like Men's Eastern Woodland Dance and Men's and Women's Smoke Dance. It's not what you think so you'll have to do some research on it if you're a powwow noob. We didn't win but we had a good time dancing, meeting new people and seeing old friends. The grounds also had some reproductions of native dwelling structures and some demos of fingerweaving and farming but I really enjoyed the vendors. The Vendors were awesome! I bought 2 powwow shirts and almost bought some beads and wampum. But for me the real star was one food vendor, Sly Fox Den! They're from Massachusetts and they had a slew of seafood dishes. I had to get their Smoked Salmon and Smoked Scallops and I was good and full after eating both. We had a good time and I'll try to return again.

From the parents down to the employees, they are not a professional establishment. The new director, Miss Elizabeth, is trying to push people out the door she doesn't like. Mr. Parnell, the owner of the daycare, seems to let her do and run the place how she wants. From price changes, to putting employees in rooms with kids who don't even want or know how to work with that specific age group. She's hiring people who don't even want to change diapers, DIAPERS. She's got people and parents signing papers saying "if there's an issue with them that you have to come to them first about it before calling state and if not then your child will be terminated." She puts her wants and needs before every child, parent, and employee. She wants parents whose kids are out there through daycare vouchers from DSS. Can someone please tell me how that's fair when other parents are paying out of pocket and also need somewhere for their kids to go? Not to mention how PETTY she is. I could go on and on but ima just leave it at this, if you want what's best for your child or children and want them to be where the kids are the priority then by all means do not send them there.

The Dj had also played the wrong songs for the father daughter dance. theyre were many other mistakes. those were just the top two that were absolutely unbearable for my wedding. when I had addressed the mistakes, I was told he would address the mistake and would expect some sort of refund for the services because I wouldn't given it a solid 4/10. but I've now waited over 4 months for a response. I had wrote him an email explaining how frustrated I was for not getting the services we had thoroughly walked through. He had responded and told me he would talk to the DJ from our wedding and would get back with me. Unfortunately, he has left me high and dry. I would absolutely NOT recommend this DJ. I was horrified and hope no one else had to go through what I did with this DJ on my wedding day.
