$150 for a basic oil change. I will think twice about coming here again. I think this place may have been loved to death.

I was referred here by a good mechanic friend of mine, and was pleasantly pleased with the service and the work that they accomplished in getting my Jeep Liberty tuned up. The one *minor* thing that miffed me a bit however, was that I was charged a little over $16 for using my debit card, as an extra "processing fee". A bit much even for processing debit/credit cards, in my honest and contrite opinion. But all in all - I was really pleased with everyone there. The work is great, and so is the service. Probably the best auto shop in Juneau. When I've come in knowing exactly what I needed (such as one time when I needed a new exhaust system installed to pass an inspection), they were quick, efficient, and fairly priced. If compromises have to be made, or delays are anticipated, they are honest about your options and will advise you of appropriate options based on the age and condition of the car. For an issue I couldn't diagnose myself I was able to describe the issue to them over the phone and based on the make / model / year they already had some good ideas as to what the problem could be, simply based on their experience repairing vehicles. They are quite popular, so the appointment was made a week after initiating contact with them, but once they got the car in, it was properly diagnosed. While I did not proceed with this specific repair, they pointed out exactly what was wrong, the consequences of not fixing it, provided a detailed quote as to how much it'd cost to repair, as well as roughly how long it'd take to order parts and perform the repairs correctly. They may not be able to help you immediately. They seem to be well known as reliable mechanics in town and their schedule reflects this. But I would definitely say they're worth the wait, every time. read more
