I found her Instagram account, and she was very responsive to all of my messages, and I was able to book two appointments with her; a wedding day trial and one for my wedding day. Nicole and her team did my and my bridal party's hair and make up and we ALL loved it. Each artists nailed the various makeup and hair styles requested by my party perfectly. I was a little nervous how they were going to do my 76 year old moms hair and make up and worried it would look too much but it was so perfect and my mother looked absolutely gorgeous. My own hair and make up exceeded my expectations. We schedule a trial run and i LOVED my make up at the trial run. i was going for a natural glam look. So I'll start this review off with saying, the makeup was beautiful, great products to choose from, however the business behind everything is what I'm choosing to speak up about due to the dishonesty I faced and the grimacing texts I received from Nicole, the owner of the business. Gamified beauty co was recommended on social media to me by a friend and at the beginning It was normal business. Nicole on Instagram messages told me her pricing, we set up my bridal trial, all went well. What I should have noticed and paid extra attention to in her contract (which when talking to other MUAs and stylists after was told this is not normal) was an non disparagement clause (she also later in texts made sure to say I could not slander her business in anyway) but also that nothing could be changed or altered unless adding additional services. What this means, is if I asked for 4 hair styles and makeups, but a few weeks before need to cancel one of those, I'm still paying for that service. Normally, that would be okay! However, my circumstances were different. Gamified Beauty Co, operates as a team however only Nicole was available the day of my wedding. We had 5 hours to get bridal hair and makeup, 2 bridesmaids full makeup and an additional hair style to do. After the trial, Nicole told me she would need 3 hours for me alone. To keep this short, Nicole and I went back and forth when I said I was really stressed she wouldn't have enough time. Again, her work was great! She made me look pretty at my trial, I loved my makeup! My hair we needed a little different work, but It was pretty. What transitioned was what was not ok, and what I recommend future brides be aware of. At my request, Nicole found another MUA to help her with day of; she told me I would have to pay her travel fees but we were good to go. However, she very vividly told me I was not to contact this mua at all, as any communication had to go thru Nicole; every bride knows, they're responsible for all vendors the day of, and legally have to provide info. So once I reached out to the additional makeup artist, I found out Nicole lied to me about the price of the travel fee she charged. To further this, she put add ons and additional fees that could be done for the day of; these were not discussed prior nor in the contract. While it's great you have additionally things, that should be discussed prior. Here's where It got really uncomfortable. Not only did Nicole Start texting me non stop & calling me different things in text, she started using biblical references (which is not appropriate) to make more harsh comments to me. I'll attach everything below, but please be aware this was not what was anticipated and i was disappointed that this was how she handled herself . Oh, she would also post topics on her business Instagram after we had just texted. One of those topics was she kept saying in texts that I didn't respect her "business hours", but never told me what those were at any time nor were they posted, until after she went off on me in text messages. She instead resorted to IG and posted stories to her clients about business hours and to please respect them; I just feel that was inappropriate and unprofessional as It was passive aggressively posted after she told me multiple times in her texts that I "didn't respect them." Again, they were never posted to her Instagram or discussed with me, so there was no way I knew. She text me past 11 pm on one of those days (I was already asleep) so I'm not sure why she felt the need to vividly tell me that I infringed upon her time. I still had to pay my deposit which was $200 and she made It clear, "she can pick and choose when she wants to refund a client." Be aware of those comments when looking for someone; had I known she handles herself like this, I would have never contacted her. Telling me "you reap what you sow" is very unprofessional and cryptic ... I still am not sure what that means but It is concerning. I would never expect someone to handle themselves like this. read more

I unfortunately did not have the best experience with Nicole- I held back from writing this review for a while, but I want to express that the professionalism (or lack thereof) is what lead to this. It was a big disappointment... I will start off with me originally booking with her was because I was intrigued about airbrush and she kept advertising to me that she would include that for me since I was booking my 6 bridesmaids and my mother with her. I booked her 10 months in advance- including scheduling my trial and securing my wedding day. For my trial, I booked that day specifically because I was attending a wedding and had to be done by 3pm latest. She said without hesitation that we can attend to that, and that we are all set and secure for that date. We scheduled for 1pm. Trusting her word for it, I didn't think I'd need to reach out again until we near my trial. A few weeks before my trial, she messages me and asks if we want to schedule my trial. I reminded her the day we scheduled for and she responded with "oh yea that's right!" I asked if we are still good for it, and she said we are. Come the night before the trial, she asked if we can move it to 5am. My gut just tells me she either forgot or double booked. Giving her benefit of the doubt, I'm like ok. So I went ahead and put my alarm for it and adjusted my schedule the night before so that I would sleep early to get an ample amount of sleep. My alarm goes off and I see her texts from an hour before- cancelling on me and saying that she is too tired to make it out. I understand that things can come up, but in this case... she shouldn't have overwhelmed her schedule. I tried to sympathize for her that she was exhausted, but she shouldn't have overpromised something she couldn't attend to. All I needed was her to be honest and I would have been understanding about it- how she handled this shows that she was really inconsiderate of other's time. I was annoyed for a second and then just went back to sleep- the show must go on. A few hours later, she ends up telling me she can still make it out, but it'll be a time crunch - that she can work on me from 230-330pm, running a little over the agreed time. I bit my tongue and agreed to it. So I sat around and waited for her... it hit 250pm, and I still don't hear from her. She eventually calls me back and says she got into a car accident. It's an unfortunate moment, but she assures me that she's fine and cancels. I now had to scram and rush for my event at the very last minute since I was waiting on her the entire time. A couple days go by and we end up rescheduling for a random day. She finally shows up, but fails to tell me until after her arrival that she can't do airbrush because she doesn't have her equipment. Well then... all this up-sale from her on airbrush, but I have yet to see. She shows me her car from the accident. It was a slight fender bender... My makeup that day ended up being really crusty and flaky, so I ended up not liking how the trial turned out at all... this by now is a month away from my wedding date by the way Disappointed in the service I'm receiving so far, I went on the hunt for other artists for my wedding day, but didn't have any luck on finding anyone with the short notice. So come wedding day, I wanted to give her a second chance and dreaded and hoped that the makeup will turn out better than the trial. At this point, I just wanted to get makeup done with for the day. She came and didn't bring her equipment for airbrush again. For some reason, she was under the impression that we weren't doing it anymore... this is where communication is so important because not once did we ever talk about not doing it! Oh well... I mean it is what it is. I didn't appreciate that she kept making false promises. That was my biggest take from this experience- I understand that anything can come up at anytime, so if she was honest from the beginning and just said prior that she couldn't make it, I would have understood and I think that would have redeemed her mistakes. After having plenty of bad experiences she knows exactly how to make my skin look hydrated and smooth with her makeup application which is very important to me. oKay so first things first ; my make up was done by nikki in the studio today ; and I want to say God bless you and all you do !! I truly feel like God has allowed us to cross paths and the fact that your make up is incredibly breathtaking is the icing on top! I fell in love the full glam she did on me !!
