I recently went to a very well known (chain) of garages to get my brakes checked as they were "screeching". I was quoted over £400 for what I was told were dangerous brakes and needed replacing urgently!! I was reluctant to fork out so much money and wanted a "second opinion" so I decided to try Astley Garage as my friend had had her MOT done there and said the staff were extremely helpful and didn't try to "rip her off". I called to Astley Garage on the off chance and they gave me a courtesy car whilst they looked at my brakes! A short while later I received a phone call from the garage to say the cost would be less than half of what the previous garage had quoted!! They fixed my car straight away while I kept the courtesy car - saving me quite a bit of money and an added bonus to have a car to use whilst mine was off the road. Would definitely recommend this garage and have arranged for them to do my service later this month. 5 stars. Thank you.

had the worst experience of my life with this garage, bought a car for £750 from them on the 31st…read moreof january 11.00am, by 14.30pm the car had broken down due to some battery problem, the car was dead. thankfully some young women stopped and had some jump leads and offered to help, sadly the car was having none of it. i was 10 miles plus away from home and the garage, and was with my girlfriend and 18 month old son. i rang the garage and told them what happened, and they adopted the " i don't care attitude" all they were bothered about was they managed to sell the car. i hung up and tried to get the car started again with no luck, i rang the garage back half an hour later to see if there was any way they could come and fix the car, at this point they said they had a brand new battery i could have but they would not bring it too me, so i had to either get the car to them to fit it, or collect the battery and take it back to the car and try and fit it myself! now like i say i was with my girlfriend and 18 month old son, this isnt what i want to hear, the young women that stopped to help gave me and my family alift home (thanks, unknown young women) and me and my dad, who had just finished work then went to the garage to pick up the battery from the garage, they gave me the new battery and disgruntly agreed to send the young mechanic back up with me to fit it (why couldt they have sent him in the first place) the battery was fitted and i drove it home and it was fine, i then went to drive it about an hour later and it was dead again, so i rang the garage and told them what had happened, they said it must be something more serious and they would take a look at it. later that night i got a call from the owner of the garage on a withheld number shouting the odds and using foul and abusive language to me saying if he was there when i initially rung he would of told me to F off! he finally agreed to give me my money back if i was able to get the car back to the garage in the morning, thankfully the next morning the car decided to start, i got the most frosty reception at the garage, but lookly got my money back. i would never recommend this garage in a million years, they are the biggest cowboys in the world, maybe the universe

I found Td international on Google when I got the car back and gave Chris a call he offered to come a view the car and go through various options for the vehicle, after having a good chat with Chris opted to get a protection detail which he booked in to do at my office the following week. Chris turned up when arranged and just got on with sorting out my car. When Chris came and nocked to say it was done I had a look at the car and was amazed to see the difference. The work Chris did was faultless, a massive improvement from the dealership. I then organized with Chris for the car to be regularly washed and top up detail to be carried out through out the year. A few months later I also purchased a BMW Mini for my wife, which was very scratched, and not in the best condition so I asked Chris what he could do. We agreed that the best package to correct the mini was a Gtechniq gold detail that he booked in for his next available date. I simply dropped the car off and three days later he brought the car back to my front door and the car looked a million times better scratch free with the best protection to keep it that way. I would recommend the services of TD international and Chris to anyone in a heartbeat. Anyone who seeks the ultimate finish and protection out there should check these guys out.

The garage moved from being a back street garage to a quite large main stream garage which employs about 5 staff. The staff in my view are not very friendly and do not explain things in simple terms and always try to talk very technical to you to try and confuse you into getting whatever work they want carried out. There quotes are on the expensive side compared to many garages in South Shields, the work carried out by these guys is of an average standard and is in my opinion not worth the money that you pay to have the job done.

When purchasing my latest car they were most helpful in suggesting the most suitable car for my needs also taking into account reliability and economical costs for repair. This time, a full service on my Peugeot 407 quick, efficient and well priced. However, a couple of niggles appeared after a week or so. Called Glendale, they asked if I could bring the car in that day. Duly arrived, seen straight away. Diagnosis as I suspected (wheels had been switched during the service, so 'new' fronts out of balance, and a clip on the under-tray had given way following some under-engine work during service.) Sorted within 20 minutes of arrival, very polite and courteous, explained everything that was going on. No charge and free coffee. Can't recommend them highly enough. In an industry awash with charlatans, these boys shine out. 10/10.
