I came here because someone posted a picture of some birds that I wanted to photograph. Didnt see the birds I came for but there were some geese and turtles.. happened to see some snakes but that was just lucky. It's free to come here but if you want to fish i think you need a license or permit. There's a building right there with someone in a uniform. I think he might have been checking for fishing permits. We were the only one there without a fishing pole.

There's plenty of bike paths and trails. It has a few ways to get in. It has an entrance off Union Road which is good if you're on a bike. There's lots of bike trails here. If you go further on the road, you get to the main entrance. This has a good parking lot. It also is the most beautiful area. The best part is the lake, which is fun for pets. It's one of the best Metroparks. It has lots of bike paths connecting to the Ohio bike trail. You can also find other places to walk.

There are benches around the park to sit and watch the kids. The restroom facilities were currently closed. Plenty of parking was found around the park. This is a fabulous small town park.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a great playground, picnic shelter, and just the best green space. Shade for days, which is perfect for hot days. The creek access is wonderful. Down a little embankment and you are right there. It's fairly shallow with some deeper parts. It's really easy to walk in. I highly recommend Keens or some type of water sandal with gripes. It can be slippery on the rocks. We found minnows, a water snake, and rocks. Didn't really look for much else as the kids were happy just to play in the water. The playground was great after they were done playing in the creek. Being completely shaded made it perfect for the hot afternoon. This is another near play area with various nature things on the outside of the structure and some cool things up in the tree house. They also had two small swing sets.

Water seemed relatively clean (but cold!). The kids and I were able to wade around and hunt for minnows and fossils. Definitely the highlight of the park. Drawbacks: 1). Big groups using the shelter might fill up the parking lot fairly quickly. 2). Limited playground equipment. 3). Porta-potty, rather than actual restrooms - only one available (didn't use). Hands down, the creek is the reason to visit. We will definitely be returning. 4 1/2 actual stars.

The trails are clean and well kept. If hiking isn't your thing, there are lots of areas to play frisbee, let your kids run around, or have a picnic in the shade. It's about a 45 minute drive for us, so we don't go often but when we do go once or twice a year, we always enjoy this beautiful park.

She screamed at me and said that's not their policy. I said then I want my money back she said I can't do that. I left very upset. The next day my husband and I went back. We literally took 2 steps in the door and she screamed at me and said I told you yesterday that I couldn't do anything for you . My husband said the receipt said we had 7 days she retorted THAT'S NOT OUR POLICY ! We all started hollering and she said we were in her personal space and she was calling the sheriff. We were on the other side of the counter! She kept repeating this so we left. THIS is customer service ? This girl needs to be fired! We will never go back to the Fairborn store again. We've talked to another Cricket store on Wilmington and that nice young man said he will do anything we need. By the way we are elderly people. She really does need to be FIRED !!!

And parking for the most part isn't an issue. This is the park where Kettering has their 4th or July fireworks and it's packed (like 15,000) with people. They have lots of other fun festivals kids fishing derbies and it's home to Metro futbol club and their home fields and practices. The reason for not a 5 star is there is only one bathroom facility in the whole park. But other than that I love the trail around the park and all the sparks fields are in great shape. They really do a great job maintaining everything. Ooo, check this out if you love Pokémon Go! This place is the spot. We don't do a lot of advance planning so we are often too late to get a spot with hookups. We've often ended up in overflow parking with no hookups but that works for us as we really just want a good place to park and sleep. They seem to run on a skeleton crew so getting someone on the phone is difficult but if you leave a message, they'll eventually get back to you (not necessarily the same day). There's a nice fishing lake (Bass Lake) adjacent and a group center with a small library and games. They have some family bunkhouses (think Cozy Cabins - bring your own linen, utensils, dishes) near the lake. Nice dog park and fire ring.
