I've gone to Glo a number of times and gotten decent cuts & color. But I'm wondering if they have a turnover issue or something because the last time I went (Dec. 2023), the young lady I saw told me she didn't feel comfortable doing my cut (I was going from long-- past my shoulders-- to short, near pixie length. I was GLAD she was honest! And I was booked with a "senior" stylist for 3 days later. The PROBLEM was that this stylist wasn't much better than maybe "2nd year level"?? She had to do my cut TWICE because after first time, the back hung down like a Dorothy Hamil "hump" over the nape of my neck. (SO not "pixie"!) The 2nd try was a bit better-- not "great" but at that point I just wanted to go home! Next day when I washed my hair, I noticed my dark low lights looked like a 12-year old had drawn lines on the sides of my head with a Sharpie! SO disappointing! I had wanted some vivid colors too, but learned that Glo doesn't even carry permanent colors in stock (they'll special order them IF you ask in advance!) Like, what big salon doesn't even stock basic pinks and such??! Anyhow worst of all was I paid $350 for this disaster!!! Yeahhh It was over holidays & such, so by the time I tried to contact them about a fix, (3 weeks had gone by) they were kinda unhelpful too. Like, didn't really care if I came back or not. I am originally a brunette but have had my hair dyed professionally black for a couple of years now. When I went in I told my stylist I wanted to go back to brunette. She told me she couldn't get rid of all the black but could put in baby lights all over and tone it down to a much lighter color. I was told it would be more than an all over color but was hopeful I'd like the end result. I did not. My hair had "a few" highlights and was still 95% black. She knew I was unhappy and offered to fix it the following day. When I went back in, she basically told me she could just add in a few more highlights (which didn't look good to begin with). Mind you, I've paid nearly $300 at this point. I told her I wanted my hair brown and to do whatever necessary to do that. She proceeds to tell me that would cost $1000 and I would need to give her 7 hours. This is ridiculous at this point so I asked for a full refund (which I have NEVER done.). As soon as I left I made an appointment at Muse For the following day. I spent a little less than 4 hours there and spent roughly the same amount....End result...exactly what I wanted and no fuss. So when your stylist tells you that they can't do something... find a competent stylist and save yourself time and money! My experience should be zero stars but I will give them one star for giving me a refund. I mean cmon! Anyone who looked at my hair could see how terrible it looked!! read more

My wife went in to get her hair, a darker color with blonde highlights. She left with Muti- blonde highlights. This is the worst hair salon I have been to. Beautiful aesthetically, but beauty school results. I totally felt experimented on. And It cost close to 200 dollars, I'm very unhappy and will be contacting the salon tomorrow. read more

I had an appointment for a hair cut and color on Sunday and was at our lake house so I had not looked at my phone until Sat. evening quickly called to cancel my appt. but got a call on Sunday saying I had to pay for half the appt. I will not be back! A really nice salon, the most deluxe is n Stillwater. Just had a gel manicure so can't speak to anything else, but Amanda was careful with my thin peeling nails and did a great job. The nail service area was immaculate, and I was very impressed that she actually has a degree from our Vo-Tech in cosmetology and knows what she's doing. Wanted to do something to make my wife feel good we have some party's to go to. So she wanted her face waxed so, I made her an appointment. She had her face done and the end result caused burns to her chin. She has never had this happen so she called to see what to do to minimize pain and speed up the healing. She called at 9:50 am to talk to the Stylist was told by the receptionist she would have the Stylist or herself call right back. So @ 1:15 pm they finally called back. The girl said they were calling the wrong number but finally checked in the computer and that was how they reached us. My wife was next door by then so I asked if she could call back in 10 mins. My wife called back @ 1:18 pm was then told.They would have to call her back again but might be a while. She never received a call back! Now she posted a bad review so, instead of helping her. They try and make it her fault they did not call ? have call logs if they would like? I can post them ? VERY Unprofessional response to her review! She would have increased her rating had she got some help. But obviously excuses was easier. Beware alot of people got new jobs this lastt year. I Had my hair colored and cut today at this salon. I have a lot of hair and the stylist Amanda was patient, kind, and helpful when offering tips on what I might like in color shades and cut styles. The shampoo and wash was amazing, she even gave me the best head massage I've ever had at a salon. When I am a client at Glo they all make me feel good about myself and the experience is always 100% worth my time. I will continue to have my hair done here in the future. read more

They don't use power Dremmel drills for filing nails... it took over two hours and my nails were not super smooth after the application. They did not have tips either. I came in with short nails, to be fair. The dip powder came off of all the nails within a week. For the positives, my nail tech was very kind and talkative. All of their practices are for healthy nails. If you are going for healthier nail practices this is your place, but not the place for perfect nails. It is a gorgeous salon. read more

Fantastic experience! My son made an appointment for the luxury facial when I was visiting for Moms weekend at OSU. I live in Los Angeles and have had many facials. This was in my top 5 ever! Beautiful facility, super clean and very high quality products. My esthetician took the time to see what I was looking for, and did just that. I like this salon, but it's a bit pricy and it feels like it's out of the way out on the edge of town. They offer hair cut and coloring, mani/pedi and massage. I came here for massage lots of times. Very relaxing. The parking lot is not well lit in the evening and there are not many other businesses with lights shinning out, so if you have a late appointment and get spooked easily, bring a flashlight. There's very little crime in Stillwater, but it does feel like the edge of town out here. read more

Very friendly staff. A pedicure was what I was scheduled for, and Stephanie did a great job. The pedicure was very relaxing. I have a weird allergy to an ingredient found in many lotions and foot scrubs. She took the time to look at the labels on all of their products to make sure they would be safe for me. The salon/nail area is very welcoming in appearance. The pedicure stations were spaced well enough apart and all staff were wearing masks so I felt protected and safe, even during a pandemic. read more

OMG! Don't even bother to make an appointment. They have people working who can only do an manicure, or pedicure etc. I went to school for 8 months to do nails, I know how it works. NEVER did any of us turn down an appointment because we didn't have a "full set" lady! Horrible service, nobody knew what was going on that worked there. Just horrible. read more

I was in town from Baltimore, MD for my brothers wedding and didn't have time befor I left to get my hair cut. I have been going to the same girl for the last 10+ years so I was a little scared to have someone else cut my hair. I wEnt to Ulta to see if they had time for a walk in but she was unfortunately by herself and didn't have time. I bought some product and asked the girl at the register if she knew of a place who took walkins and recommended Glo (she worked their as well). As soon as I walked into Glo I was greeted by the girl at the front desk. She was super sweet and welcoming. She told me I was in luck and that Paige was open at the moment. She offered me a drink (water, soda) while I waited. Paige came and got me from the front and took me back to her station. She was super sweet and listened to how I wanted my hair. She knew I was from out of town and a little nervous but she was awesome. I will definitely see Paige again if I come back and need a cut. I spent $178 for silver or gray highlights and ended up with poorly execured beige. I don't have nor want blonde, ash or beige hair. I wanted to have the silver or gray highlights blend with the natural changes in hair color I am seeing. My hair is now dry, frizzy and the cut I asked for was suppose to be a layered or shag cut. A lot of money and time was spent for something I absolutely hate. This is the second time I've had a color issue with Glo. There won't be a third chance. I suggest going to Hello Gorgeous and visiting Michelle. read more

I posted a low star review earlier after my girlfriends experience of customer service at Glo Salon. HOWEVER within mere minutes the owner replied apologizing and tried to make it right. My girlfriend and I were both impressed and she is willing to give Glo a second chance. Her haircut was done well and she mainly had a hard time with something that was said, but maybe she took it out of context or someone had an off day.
