So my tip hopefully says it all: "the most amazing farm shop ever!" but for review purposes, I'll elaborate. I'd seen this place popping up on my feed thanks to Yelp Perth King & Queen, John R & Alisa R. We'd been in Perth for the day so stopped on our way back to Glasgow - this was just after 5pm, and the shop closes at 5.30 but thankfully they were happy to let us browse. First of all, when you enter you're greeted by a lush display of vegetables/produce which is seriously beautiful. It's a proper farm shop and the veggies are dirt covered/misshapen, how they should be. There's no crazy layers of packaging here and you can actually touch it all - if touching up vegetables is your thing. The shop inside is really large and has a massive range of everything you could dream of. Cheeses, charcuterie, frozen meals, meats, jams, booze (great gin selection), wines, biscuits, beers as well as a gift shop area. We grabbed a few bits and pieces and managed to spend like £30 but I don't regret a penny of it. Our best purchases of the day were Great Glen Game venison salami (available to buy in Glasgow at George Mewes or on the platter at Kelvingrove Cafe), and the Baron Begold cheese which is one of the nicest I've had in a long time. Staff were friendly and welcoming (even though we were probably cutting into their time for watching Eurovision) and we've already planned to leave for Perth early next time so we can eat here for brunch/lunch. It's easy to find if you're driving as there's lots of signs, or just ask your Yelp app to send you the right way.

A really lovely place to go for an hour or two. Gloagburn is among many 'farm shops' that have popped up recently in Perthshire, but is one of the best! A small shop selling fresh and local produce, books, cards, Ecover and Emma Bridgewater amongst other things. This leads into another shop selling high end groceries including meats and has a small deli counter. The cafe area is large with a 'country feel' and serves fantastic food which is fresh, generously sized and reasonably priced. The cakes are supurb, particularly the brownies and apple and amond cake. The staff are very friendly and always on the ball. Outside, there is ample parking, a small duckpond, 2 pigs, a horse and a huge dog that is in the field with the horse (to see it is to believe it!) Emma Bridgewater, books, cakes, ducks and pigs...what more would you want from a Sunday afternoon?

White chocolate and raspberry cheesecake - absolutely divine!

*This is actually a review for the Perth store*…read more So we decided to have one last meal before the weekend ends so we decide to drive through Callendar and head to Perth's Frankie & Benny's. We get seated almost straight away by the assertive hostess next to the kitchen (my favourite spot) We decide to have the usual - burgers. I chose the bacon cheeseburger and my partner chose the construct my own cheeseburger (sometimes it's like dining with a 5 year old). It took all of five minutes for it to come out and be served to us and it was delicious! I even enjoyed the relish which was mixed with a sweet BBQ sauce and the fries were cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the cheeseburger with the salad on the side, along with chips and relish. The chips were piping-hot - an apparent rarity in most restaurants nowadays (why is it so difficult to ensure food reaches the table at a satisfactory temperature??) where the standard offering is lukewarm coffee served with a portion of yesterday's nachos. These chips had a slight crunch then a perfectly fluffy filling - excellent! The salad was fresh and tasted fantastic with the relish - I'm not even sure what was in the relish but I wanted more. Lastly the burger; something I've failed to be impressed with at F&B's previously! The burger was cooked to perfection, the cheese melted into the meat - the flavour of which seemed to be intensified by the relish. Almost cleared my plate if it wasn't for that pesky bun! We then decided to have a sweet and deliberated over the four different types of waffles: chocolate and honeycomb, mint, banoffee or cinnamon... but then we were faced with another impossible choice... what about the cheesecakes??! My kryptonite! There was: vanilla, salt and caramel or peanut butter cheesecake. So we decided that one of us would choose a waffle and the other a cheesecake and we'd share (I'm nice like that). Now for the hilarious part. I asked the hostess if I could charge my iPhone somewhere as I had a hundred mile journey and was at 16% left! She agreed to charge it at a counter for me. Just before we ordered our dessert I went to "check on my phone", but really I was making our amazing waiter Jordan (shoutout!) aware that it was my boyfriend's birthday and he said "say no more". Suddenly the lights went out for a third time to celebrate someone's birthday and my partner says "oh who's next? That's the third time!" Unbeknownst to him it was for him! His face was 'not-amused face emoji'! But I was 'crying with laughter-faced emoji! We chose the mint waffles which comprised of a cinnamon waffle with two scoops of mint ice cream and the peanut butter cheesecake with peanut butter ice cream - amazing! Lastly, I ordered a coffee and being the coffee fiend that I am, really enjoyed it, I've no idea what blend it was but it tasted different to anything I've had in any local Frankie & Benny's. Jordan was so nice when getting our bill that he took my partner's meal off of the bill as a birthday treat! Fantastic service and well-worth a visit the next time you're passing! A really good end to a perfect week.

The waitress was friendly and very understanding. She also brought us a large pitcher of water without even asking us if we wanted it - awesome! I ordered a Club Triple Decker and my wife ordered a Chicken Pitta with Louisiana Hot sauce. Good arrived promptly, hot, and platted well on white plates. Pricing felt a little steep, but the amount of food that came out put my mind at ease. We both enjoyed our food immensely, including the fries. My club had a chicken breast which was a nice surprise. My only complaint was that the bread was slightly dry - so my mouth feels scratches at the moment, but it was still a good sandwich.

Every year for my grand father's birthday we end up going to pacos. So I believe I've ate here another to have a opinion. Pacos is the most inconsistent restaurant I have ever been to, the food has a constant inconstancy to it! If you are with another person and order the same thing the quality will never be the same. I remember last year I came here to catch up with my sister over dinner. I ordered the T-bone steak expecting a wonderful juicy flavour filled piece of meat. I was wrong it was raw and had a horrible outside. I was extremely disappointed! But there are times where the food is of high quality such as the bbq ribs that where succulent and delicious. Overall pacos makes me want to live for another 100 years just to see where it will be. But right now they need to focus on getting there act together. I give it 2 starss but I have hope that pacos will go back to the warm wonderful restaurant that I once knew it for.

Complained to staff- no discount. Spent £71 on food that wasn't enjoyable. Go eat somewhere else to get your money's worth....

Its done up in very funky colours with comfortable tables, cushion cubes and seats /booths to be had. Their speciality is ice creams and deserts as you might imagine with the name! It is also quite big on the inside, it looks quite small from outside and i was surprised at how open and well done up it was inside. They have quite an extensive range of ice creams, waffles, cakes and sweet treats. I've been a couple of times now and have not been disappointed. Usually i get an ice cream sundae and its either smaller than i would like or just a range of lack lustre ice creams thrown in smothered in sauce. Not this place! First of all don't order two of these to try them out....they are huge! They have many flavours and types such as the caramel banana boat and the knicker-bocker glory. They are, in a word, immense. Tasty quality ice cream and ingredients, they also use fresh fruit in some of their ones as well as waffles, cakes, desserts and protein shakes. Its delicious, terribly fattening and bad for you.....excellent!!! They also havea range of tea, coffee and juices if your not for expanding your waistline on a visit as well. Staff are friendly and welcoming, happy to have a chat and talk about the menu as well. Great wee place!
