The facility is clean and the staff is so nice. As I am Hispanic, I love that the women taking care of the infants are all Hispanic (personal preference). I love that they immediately told me all of the things they would need to care for him and that everything should be labeled. The fact that they need several changes of clothes, bibs, sheets, towels to keep him clean is a huge comfort for me. The fact that they requested detailed info about my son and what helps soothe/ease him etc is amazing. As a mom a big concern for me is leaving my baby with a stranger all day that doesn't know what he likes/dislikes. Also the fact that they have an app to communicate and send photos/updates throughout the day is so so great. They also include formula/baby food with is a huge plus. I honestly couldn't be happier. If you need a place for your kids and the location works for you I definitely recommend you check them out. (These were the only pictures I was able to take since I wasn't going to snap pictures with the kids in them. But the same way you see the pics from the business owner is how the place looked. So clean and nice.

The staff is caring, organized, and always willing to help, which creates a positive and welcoming atmosphere for students. A special thank-you goes to the amazing 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Kelly. She is an outstanding educator who is patient, encouraging, and deeply dedicated to her students' success. Mrs. Kelly explains lessons clearly, challenges students to do their best, and makes learning engaging and meaningful. She also communicates well with parents and genuinely cares about each child's progress--academically and emotionally. Thanks to Mrs. Kelly's guidance and support, my child has grown more confident, responsible, and motivated to learn. We are very grateful to be part of Sunshine State Academy and highly recommend both the school and Mrs. Kelly to any family looking for a strong and nurturing educational experience.

Healthy fresh lunches and they even provide a menu every month, and their tuition is very well priced. Safe environment with easy feedback and communication with staff. Right next to local parks within walking distance, I often immediately meetup with other parents of his classmates at pick up time, we can just walk to Jefferson Park in the Hollywood Lakes or Arts Park. My son was speech delayed until 4 years old and after being in this school for 2 weeks he was coming home speaking in sentences, and months later everyone was surprised he had ever even received a speech delay diagnosis...true story. He LOVES his school and friends there so much. Check out their facebook page and see all the great videos of recent events.

It's taken me a couple of weeks to write this review but I feel its important to share my…read moreexperience with other parents. I reached out to Irene (owner) about registering my child in her daycare because my child's previous school was pretty far from my house and I wanted to free up my driving time. She was agreeable and the daycare felt like a small family so overall I left with a good impression. The first day that my child ( 2 years old , almost three) was there , I get a call at 12 pm because he refused to nap, was "hyper" and was "jumping on the sleeping bags" they set out. Mind you , this is his first day in a new environment. She asked if I could pick him up. I complied and grabbed him because I didnt know what else to do .. I had never had a daycare request this. The second day , I get a call at 11 am that my child was "going up the slide wrong way" and that he got on top of a child chair and tried to jump from it and got hurt.. could I pick him up ? By this point , I started to think that this daycare wasnt equipped to deal with toddler behavior. They weren't willing to assist him in acclimating to the school in anyway and were quick to disrupt my workday for situations they should have been able to resolve with a little patience. By the third day , they told me that they had to hire extra help to have my child in the class and that they didnt feel it was the right place for him (only five kids in the class). When i asked why , they said he was too hyper. They gave me two weeks to find a new daycare. Simultaneously, they kept telling me daily that "he was doing so much better" and no incident was ever recorded ( he wasnt biting , hitting, being aggressive, breaking things etc). Everytime I went to pick him up he was playing with a puzzle ( quietly) or playing normally in the playground. Obviously I became distraught over this experience because I work and needed reliable child care and also because she was insinuating my child had some sort of condition for which he needed extra assistance. I took him to the pediatrician , who evaluated him and confirmed that there was absolutely nothing I needed to worry about and that it was all normal toddler behavior. I then noticed that there was a clear shortage of teachers in the schools and that the teacher in my school app was not the same one in my child's classroom ( honestly I am almost positive she was an aid and not a teacher). Overall , if you are considering this daycare , I suggest you do a trial run to see if your kid meets the owners expectations of the owner and I encourage you to reconsider if reliable child care is needed.

I made the huge mistake of paying in advance for the year, and then about halfway through the year my kid got accepted at another school that goes up to 8th grade. The teachers and staff all recommended that i take the opportunity as it would be a good move for the future. When i asked about being refunded, i was told i would have to wait 8 months for a refund, and then a week later i was told, "nevermind, there are no refunds." I was out more than $5,780 and zero sympathy and everyone stopped answering my emails. I would recommend to parents to simply find another school, one that has an ounce of compassion and heart. It breaks my heart because the teacher was so great, but those business practices are terrible. I guess it's all in the fine print that you sign when you enroll, but never in a million years did I think it would come to this. I think the ownership/management should learn a few of the Montessori principals like kindness, compassion and empathy.

Several times my son has come home with missing socks, bruises and scratches, a bust lip and it was never explained no one ever has a clue as to what goes on among the children. I've caught them (teachers, and the admin staff) several times talking negatively about students, parents, and enticing awkward social situations between children for their own entertainment which I assumed were isolated situations. Its understandable that ( untrained ) kids get rough especially when sharing toys but this is another story. I get a call ( I didn't get a call the first time my son burst his lip) that my son burst his lip at school. It's explained to me that another child "pushed" my son and he fell and busted his lip (same story as the first time). They tell me that the child that pushed him is "special needs" and they are going to talk to the parents. I go to the school to see my son and see no signs of a burst lip, what I see instead is my son's face looking like it was mauled by a wild animal with scratches deep and shallow all over his face, on both his cheeks, across his nose and in the cavities of his eyes as if someone had attacked him steadily and repeatedly. I ask every single teacher in the school if they were there and if they knew what happened. ONLY ONE "teacher" admitted to being there and she tells me that she has no idea what happened she just saw my son sitting by himself in a corner alone looking upset with his head down so she went over to him and noticed that he had blood on his shirt. MY SON ENDURED A BRUTAL ATTACK AND WAS LEFT TO SIT THERE AND BLEED ALL DOWN HIS SHIRT (see picture) ALONE UNTIL SOMEONE NOTICED HIM. I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED BY THE FACILITY AND I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO EVERY AGENCY POSSIBLE.

No one knew where or how it happened. Later that night I noticed bruises on his stomach, legs and arms which is normal for a boy so I decided to see how the following week played out before changing him. Again his first day back this week and he comes home with nail marks on his arm and no one at the school knows who or when that happened. Today as I go to take my son a bath he has a bite mark on his arm which I didn't see because I sent him to school in a long sleeve shirt to avoid more possible nail marks. Luckily I found him a new school and he will no longer be attending. These kids are clearly not being watched which is these teachers only job in the hours I pay for my son to be in their care. Please take your kid elsewhere. I do appreciate the two girls in the front office. One was nice enough to try and console my son and the other tried rewinding the cameras to try and see what happened. But as my son would be in the care of the teachers who didn't seem too concerned when I showed my sons injuries I refuse to let him stay in this school.
