Apparently after not one late payment in 5 years their thank you to me is to hit me with $60 to come pick up THEIR equipment when I move. The past year we dealt with increasing spotting service, almost no service during Covid, and countless interruptions while they moved locations. Global Net was fast. They were at my house to set up the next day after I called. They have been supplying me reliable internet since.

This is the worst possible internet service provider you could have, unless you are somehow in the right spot of a town apparently. You pay way too much for what it is and if I didn't have to use this ISP in the neighborhood I'm in I would get out of using it right away. They are super slow with the operations and of getting you information as well as finding the problem and getting your internet issues fixed. It took a week before I got so fed up with how slow the help was that I called them again and they put me on another ticket we will see how this one goes. Global Net is an excellent choice for high speed internet service. From the installation in our new home (which is somewhat remote) to the occasional need for customer service, this company never ceases to impress. Their fee layout is extremely straighforward, and auto-payment option is seamless. We recently had our very first hiccup in our service and it was remedied within the hour with immediate follow up from their operations manager. Wow! A+++ all around. read more

I live south of Bozeman. There are not many options for internet out here. There are even fewer options when I wanted true high speed internet. Global Net has met my needs and my expectations. They have worked out all the kinks in the system so I have a fast reliable connection that is up coninuously. I had a few problems initially that Global Net was able to resolve and they worked hard to make it right. I am a very happy customer just glad to be off my very slow DSL connection and able to stream movies in HD. I am a heavy user and have not had any troubles surfing the web while streaming movies or playing online games. Even the technicians have been nice and thorough. Its nice to have a local company to deal with that provides the services I need. read more

AVOID GLOBAL NET for Internet service. I was pretty happy with these guys and the speeds, but as they say, you totally get what you pay for. They are 1/2 the price of others in town for more wireless bandwidth, but it's totally not worth it! The guy that's in charge over there, at least on the technical side is antagonistic, rude, and evidently hasn't had any customer service at all. I'd gladly pay TWICE a much for half the speed to not support crappy businesses like that. Rant over, but if you're considering them, please reconsider. What looks attractive isn't. read more

Hard to understand contract. Even though I read it, as a non lawyer there was no way I was to see the traps. They "extended" the contract on a piece of paper that did not even use the word "extension" and when I ended the contract on it's natural expiration date, they sprung the trap and hit my credit card for an additional $1,100. I fought them through the credit card people, who were indifferent. I took them to court, and learned that courts don't care about justice, just words and documents. Scott Johnson blatantly lied during arbitration. He's a piece of work. Costly lesson. Avoid this company. As with any encounter with a sociopath, walk away. Avoid, and if you are stung, do not seek justice. Just take your lumps. They have thought it all out in advance. read more

I live in Butte and have limited options of internet based on where I live. We do a lot of streaming and always have the capability to stream easily. We just recently had a technician come out and install new software. There was an error when installing that made our internet signal very weak and we were unable to rely on the internet. When I finally got around to calling tech support,I received a phone call the next day explaining that the error had been noticed and they would be crediting my account for the week! Not to mention when payment hasn't gone through due to getting a new card number etc, Global Net calls to update card information before just deactivating the account. We have had great costumer service through this company and I would highly recommend! read more

After getting 1/2 the download speed they promised with some files blocked entirely ! they admitted they had a problem tried to fix it - I was forced to get service elsewhere - they then took me to court for $1200 (that was $600 more than was left on the contract) be warned - they had an attorney in house ! read more

When my connection didn't support the world-wide company that sells my art, the manager did nothing about it -- except insult me. We tried the site at a neighbor's and it worked fine. They didn't fulfill their contract, but charged me big bucks for breaking it on my end. Then, threatened me not to "slander" them. read more

I wrote a review of global net last year. The service/signal continued to get progressively worse until ultimately we went elsewhere. Shortly after we left we were informed that they had increased /upgraded their service. Unfortunately we had already entered into a 2 year contract with a satellite provider. The satellite provider is faster but because of the medium of delivery the latency makes streaming live difficult. Tried checking back with global net and apparently I have been blackballed as they wont call me back. Just a heads-up, In rural Montana your options are limited. Big providers tend to be more professional but over promise and under deliver. Small providers like global net, in some instances, have a better product but are chasing their tails, are not professional and are struggling with the rapid growth of the valley. Before signing up with anyone do your research, ask neighbors etc. read more
