Global Realty seems to have a policy of "Verbal agreement is not valid". So they'd say anything to get you sign their contract. I guess I was naive. I paid two-week deposit for a flat one month before I was supposed to move in with three agreed terms. Once I signed the paper work, they emailed me to change the terms. I also had a conversation with the landlord who asked me all the weird and personal questions such as if I have friends to visit me or if my family visits me and how often etc. To this I replied, "I do have friends, and my mother comes and visits me in the summer for a couple of weeks from abroad". He said that they are not allowed to stay in the studio for more than 3 days and if I did not like this new additional term, he doesn't want to give me the flat but he will return all the deposit. I thought that the "rules" were rather odd and unfair so I emailed the angecy and said I cannot take the flat with all these changed/disageed terms. The Global Realty not only defended and made me aware of my rights as a tenant (as an agency should do) but went along with the landlord to make up a lie and that I was intending to bring in the entire family from my country to live in a studio flat, therefore they have the right to keep the deposit as a compensation. So they stole my deposit and never gave me the flat. I had already given a month notice to my flat I was living at that time and obviously I did not appreciate what happened afterwards. I ended up suing them but once they've got the money it's difficult to retrieve it especially without any recorded proof. So be aware. One thing to note is that my law firm has found that their lawer is listed in the website called "Lawyers from Hell" (name & shame equivalent for lawers). Shame on them. read more

Land lord and tenants do not deal with this company the are really bad news. They do not give tenants deposit back and have all sorts funny contracts for the landlord and tenants And God help you if they think you owe them money? Stay away from these people. Absolutely the worst, dishonest estate agency you could find. We paid £700 for a rental flat then they changed what they were asking for saying we didn't meet their arbitrary standards and we had to pay £10K upfront. We didn't have a spare £10k and saw that Global Realty had been ejected by the Ombudsman so they are not registered by any official body for lettings. Global Realty lied to us continually and wouldn't answer my calls, strung us along knowing we had to leave the flat we were in so we had to "pull out" then they kept our £700 holding deposit. Nice trick!!! Having been ejected by the Ombudsman so not registered by any official body for lettings, Ricky Galer and Gary Block soon went from professional and kind to being sarcastic and hanging up on us. Then following it up with long threatening emails. They even tried to counter sue me for £2700 for "loss of trade". I took them to court in April 2014 and won, despite a County Court Judgement against them they have not paid me as of March 2015. The judge threw out their claim and awarded me full costs plus my £700 back but the criminals just ignored it. DueDil.com shows they have repeatedly gone bankrupt and re-opened under a similar name. So this is what they do. Ricky Galer and her husband Nathan appealed the county court judgement and put on the most ridiculous farce show in court saying I sued the wrong company, I sued Global Realty and it should have been GH Global Realty. The judge had passed judgement against both names anyway so they couldn't wriggle out of it but they droned on nonsensically in the appeal for what seemed like forever. A particular low point in the clown show was Nathan finishing his long rambling speech to the patient judge with "and that's why they should have sued Global Realty". Ricky whispered loudly "you mean GH Global Realty". We had to laugh. They were too dumb to even get their own story straight. These people have ZERO respect for the law and they still continue to trade. As career criminals they are used to being sued so they know exactly what to do to evade the law. The "Jetsetters, Global Reality welcomes you!" advert is posted everywhere by Global Realty as an advert, all the other reviews are negative. this company is a joke. we paid a two week deposit to take the property off the market, to have a phone call saying "we want your bank references today or we're putting the property back on the market" even though nothing had been said about the urgency in any email correspondance or face to face. they are amatures! read more

Stay away from this agency!! Clearly the previous review (the five stars) was written by its own staff. They seemed polite and friendly at the beginning but they are fraud and big fat liars. I signed a contract based on an agreement that they would install an additional lock on the door but after signing, they came back saying that it was not possible. I spoke to the landlord directly and he said that if I am not happy about it he can return the money I have already paid. I agreed with the arrangement and I thought everything was going smoothly but the next day, I received a call from one of the agents, who made up an absurd lie out of nowhere saying "We will not be able to return you the deposit as we did not know that you were trying to move in an entire family to the flat (studio), which goes against the policy". Obviously I had to sue them through small claims court and fought them over a couple of years but in the end, I was advised by lawyers (referred by Solicitors Regulation Authority) that it is better to withdraw as they would continue to lie and never let the money go, so unfortunately I had to walk away. read more
