I have had some coworkers recommend this place to me awhile ago, so I decided to take my brother with me to try it out. Man it would be shameful to say anything bad about this place honestly. The experience here was so great that I want to go back just talking about it. We went in and ordered I food, it was cramped with people waiting for orders but that didn't matter it was so worth it. We got our food and horchata and began to look at each other because of how good the food looked. It was like it was too good to be true, and it was in fact very delicious. My coworker told me about this place and said "I could not stop going there after I went for the first time, went for like a week straight". After I had my plate I can fully understand why he would do such a thing, this place really makes good food and the environment is nothing but the best. I have consistently had a bad experience here. Service always takes so long. I waited almost 40 minutes for my food. They didn't hand it to me until I asked for a receipt 35 minutes later. They didn't even hand me my drink. My burrito was pretty much all rice with a little meat. The tacos were barely full. Super expensive for barley any food. I'm extremely disappointed. Stopped overnight in Flagstaff, Arizona..looked on Yelp for a taco place and Gloria's Bakery popped up. It is a bakery but also has Mexican food!!! We checked it out,,tacos asada with rice and beans,it came with chips and salsa,,the food was delicious! Their staff is super friendly and kind. Their Mexican baked pastries are DELICIOUS!!! Next time we're in town we are definitely stopping here and try out more items on their menu and get a ton of pastries!!! Loved this place and the very friendly service!!! read more

Wow. Just... wow! We've lived here five years and have tried most Mexican places in town. When our friend texted and said he had found the holy grail, a little hole in the wall "bakery" in an old strip mall on Fourth, we were skeptical. But man were we in for a surprise! The restaurant is small with only a handful of tables. So make sure to have a backup plan to eat at home, in your car, or nearby park. (Edit: turns out they're expanding next door, so congrats to them!) Also note this place closes a bit earlier than you'd expect, at 6pm, so get your dinner early. At first I was confused because the name implies it's a bakery, which is probably why we've overlooked it the past two years (how long they've been open) but it's a full on four-course restaurant if you want it to be haha A younger guy took our order at the front counter and he was so welcoming and friendly. It set the visit off on a good note. Then we grabbed a table and they brought us chips and salsa. Even the chips were homemade and full of flavor. And the salsa is some of *the best* I've ever had. Our food came out fast and hot. I'm not even going to bother suggesting what to get because I'm certain you could get anything on the menu and it would be amazing! Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. We couldn't stop talking (in between mouthfuls) about how great everything was. All the tables around us were doing the same. This place was nonstop busy but you could tell everyone who walked in were regulars and knew they were about to get a great meal. Over half the customers appeared to be Hispanic, which is always a good sign you're getting great, traditional food. (I know at least one person is going to want to take that wrong but as another example, you don't see James Gandolfini (Sopranos) eating at the Olive Garden do you? No, you see him at some non assuming mom and pop Italian restaurant, ya know?) Anyway.. after our meal we went up for desserts (churros, flan, pastries) and talked to a sweet middle aged woman who had us laughing so hard. It seemed like everyone was happy to be working there, which is hard to come by these days. We will definitely be back a few times a month. Can't wait to try more of their menu. It's back open! The renovation is awesome. Somehow the food got even better, I just had the best Torta (carnitas) I've ever had.

A co-worker recommended this place so we decided to try it while we were in Flagstaff. Upon arrival, no one seemed to notice us. I grabbed a couple of menus and found a table. The place wasn't busy. Finally an employee brought chips and salsa and asked what we wanted to drink. We both order water and she left. When she brought the water back, our drinks were in plastic cups while the other patrons were in glass jars. I also noticed our salsa was in 2 plastic cups that many places use for takeout. We placed our order. A gentleman came in and sat behind us and ordered. He received his food before we received ours. After our food came, the waitress never came back. When we were done, a waitress looked at me as she was walking by, saw empty plates, and went to the table next to us and asked how everything was and if they were ready for their check.
