When we arrived we parked right next to Cowboy Co., a which was closed, so we returned to shop the next day. Their boot assortment is impressive... colors and materials from cowhide to alligator to ostrich and capybara. My wonderful wife found herself a couple nice cowgirl shirts that she makes look quite nice, so now we're ready for some line dancing in Cave Creek the next time we visit and also at home! They are a 501c(3) organization that supports Puppy Luv Animal Rescue. This is a small Flea Market Store, but with some goodies here and there if you have time to look. The staff is very pleasant. Things are organized by what it is (seasonal, clothing, kitchen, glassware, etcetera) so it is easy to go in to the area if you are looking for something specific. There is a good variety of items, hence the name "Flea Market Store". The only reason I gave it a four stars instead of five was because many of the clothing items I took off the rack to consider for purchase had holes or items missing on them. I feel items which are torn, missing buttons, defective, or otherwise need a fairly decent repair would benefit from being on a separate rack labeled as such at a reduced price. I realize sometimes a missing button or something can be missed, but I came across items which were fairly obvious defects without much looking. Otherwise, I found it worth a walk through a couple times a year if you feel like wanting to shop in an environment of used and/or donated items.

We strolled around in the light rain, went to look at the rustic wedding chapel - closed, so couldn't see i side - took the photo coming out of the salloon, and the headed over to Hansen's BBQ for a cold one. We got our drinks and sat at one of the high tops sipping our drinks and looking forward to some live music. Cody Gibson had been up on stage for a while when I went to ask him for a fave tune: the Streets of Laredo. He listened to it and then played it for me ! All was going so well then a sudden "Craaack" and a splitting sound: the transformer down the road died, so the Town and restaurants closed... Imagine walking up, ready to buy a simple item, and being told -- with a straight face -- that I was not allowed to purchase it because she needed to take a photo of the section before anyone was allowed to touch anything. Yes. A photo. Of the shelf. Before customers are allowed to, you know, buy things. Wild concept for a retail store, I know. I stood there trying to wrap my head around the policy. Stores have inventory systems. They scan items. They track SKUs. That's how retail has worked since roughly the invention of barcodes. But apparently this Target now runs on forensic shelf photography and vibes. When I politely questioned the logic, I got attitude -- not an explanation. No "sorry," no "give me one minute," just pure hostility and the sense that I had somehow committed a crime by attempting to spend money. So here's the takeaway: if you come to this Target expecting to purchase products, brace yourself. You may instead be inducted into a bizarre ritual where the shelves are sacred, the camera roll is king, and paying customers are treated like they're interrupting a museum exhibit.
