Luckily, they have an online appointment system so no need to call and have your fingers crossed they have an availability within your schedule! They also have the cost of the service upfront at the time of your booking. There's plenty of parking since the studio is in a business plaza. The salon was clean and the staff were friendly! Came in today with an appointment. Had to wait 15 mins. The nail tech didn't let my gel polish soak long enough so when she tried filing the rest off with the drill I had to tell her a couple of times it was burning the nail underneath. Then the water was cold to soak my nails in, making her have to dig, instead of pushing my cuticles back. She proceeded to cut one of my cuticles pretty good, didn't ask how I'd like my nails shaped and did a rather poor job with the gel polish on my thumbs. Also at the beginning of the manicure I picked out a glitter polish to go over my base polish. It was too heavy of a polish, which I'm glad she checked on, but she said she'd find another that would work. That didn't happen. This was one of my go-to places. Under their new ownership I will have to think twice about going back or wait until I can get in with the one remaining employee who's been great in the past. New remodel is nice, still lots of polish colors to choose from, now open on Sundays. 7/19/16-not even a week and my gel polish is peeling. Ridiculous. Save your money for somewhere else. read more

I'm so disappointed. I found this place last year when they had a different owner and jenni was so good and did an amazing job on my nails but out of convenience I was going to another local salon and after being let down I wanted to go back To gloss I was so excited about my appointment and when I got there I found out none of the same staff was there anymore :( I gave it a try anyways and it was a huge mistake! The girl took about 2 hours for a full set and she "free formed" the nails which did not look good at all very sloppy work that took forever even after shaping them the tops weren't all the way to my cuticles and within two days one lifted off. Went to another salon to have it fixed bc when I called gloss they could not get me I for 3 more days! The other salon told me within a day or so the others will follow bc of how poorly they did. Sure enough I got home and another one popped right off from just lightly tugging a throw blanket. Now I have had two broken nails in 2 days and I have NO time before I leave for vacation to have them fixed. I won't be going back. read more

The owner is very nice, but the other girls working there were unprofessional. She also took 3 hours to do a basic manicure and pedicure, and messed up my toes several times. My nails honestly look like I did them at home myself. They looked ok in the salon but once I got home and looked at them, they were sloppy. The gel polish hardened outside my nails and onto my toes and they were not cleaned up. I feel like I should not have had to pay for the pedicure, especially since they had to be fixed multiple times and still came out sloppy. DO NOT GO HERE!! Yesterday was the last straw! I will NEVER give my business to this POS nail salon again!! The new owner, Diana, was previously at another salon that she co-owned. I began as a customer of hers last year at the former salon (I get gel manicures and regular pedicures every 3 to 4 weeks). I refuse to ruin my nails with the Dremel tool to have the gel polish removed, so Diana happily agreed from the very beginning to remove the gel with acetone and foil wraps which is the normal way to do it. As time went by, she informed me that she was purchasing another salon and would be leaving at some point but would let me know when so that I could follow her, which I did. I always make appointments in advance, am on time and have been a loyal customer. Since Diana bought Gloss Nail Studio, I noticed that it is practically empty every time I am there. She is always complaining about how many hours she works, how stressed out she is and how hard it has been for her to find new nail techs to work for her (interesting, since there are barely any customers). Yesterday, she treated me like such shit! She does both my manicure and pedicure and is constantly rough by cutting me, scraping me and/or pulling my fingers or toes. In addition, she will blame the customer for her screw ups such as saying that I moved my hand which is why she scraped me...NOT the case! I commented to her that she was rough as she pulled my thumb in a rough manner while removing the gel polish. Clearly, she didn't appreciate that comment as she proceeds to tell me that she spends too much time on my nails and I am a difficult customer with too many requests which is BULLSHIT! Too many requests? I have no requests other than for her to provide good service which means doing a good job. One of her nail techs had no customer and was twiddling her thumbs with nothing to do and Diana has no time all of the sudden to do my nails?? She is the nastiest and most disrespectful monster! I know for a fact that other customers have had various issues with her and that she is a troublemaker. I should have left her long ago. I feel sorry for the girls that work for her. I paid for the service yesterday with NO TIP and walked out. After all of this time, that's how she treated an excellent long time customer. read more

Went in to have a gel manicure and new polish on my toes. I have natural nails, not acrylic. So, rather than soaking the gel off, the owner filed all the polish off, taking with the polish my natural nail and beds. She did not soak my hands, just pushed the cuticle back with the file and did not bother even trimming them. So, $64.00 later it looked like a child painted my fingernails with gel and polish on my toes. By the next day all my natural nails began breaking off at the quick cause they had been grinded away. Came in on a Saturday afternoon with an appointment for a Jelly Pedi and a fill on my fingernails. Had a great experience with Jade. His pedi was AMAZING. My feet feel great and the Jelly Pedi is an experience. If you haven't tried it, DO. Its worth it. My nail fill and polish was fun. I asked if she was going to prep the nail (she had no intention of using a base coat) and I said no, you need to get the lotion off the nail with alcohol. We were told that she was running a couple minutes behind but she would have her assistant do my husband pedicure and she would do mine as soon as she was done with the nails she was working on. Heard her talking to someone in the back explaining what she needed to do. Out comes her 13-14 year old daughter who proceeded to give my husband what was supposed to be a pedicure. She in no way tried to hurry with the other customer. I finally got out of the salon two hours later. While doing my toes we had a long conversation about how they don't charge extra for gel polish. I don't think I would have been mad, but when I was checking out she said she was giving us $25.00 discount and then charged me $50.00. Worst place to get nails done in idaho! They don't communicate with you when you try to tell them what you want or what needs to be fixed. I got a full set last night and they're uneven, can see through them, not filed, the tech dropped the acrylic brush on the ground then picked it up and processed to use it on me! I said something about the brush being dropped and was just ignored. I called telling them how my nails are causing bleeding and purple discoloration but since they were closed I went to urgent care, the nice lady dr filed them for me them advised to to have them removed she said if they were filed at least I would lose the tips of my thumbs... I called and talked to 3 different people including the owner who refused to fix them since I filed them, i didnt! urgent care did to stop bleeding and to restore color to the tips. They proceeded to tell me I didnt say anything when I was there I did and they didnt listen... now the tech says to come in and she will fix but then the owner says no they won't so they aren't even communicating with one another. At this point I'm out over 60$ and and just want others to he aware of the crap they pull. When I talked to the owner/manager she kept cutting me off then hung up on me. I just can't believe how rude people can be. Having nice nails shouldn't cause blood and pain and regret and make you fell like your not worth anything. We came here visiting for my brother's lacrosse tournament and decided to go to Gloss because we got a $5 off coupon at Big Star. The gals were very personable, but it was the worst manicure my mom and I had ever had. It felt like we were having middle schoolers do it. They did not seem to know what they were doing (we got no hand massage, cuticle treatment, or for our hands). One of the worst pedicure experiences I have had in 15 years of monthly pedicures. Was told I needed to soak my feet because she didn't want to "Smell stinky feet". She was very forthcoming through the whole process that she did not like pedicure's & did not want to be there. After spending $50 on a third choice color, I woke up with a very infected nail.
