The track speaks for its self but the facilities are worth a mention. The car park is vast and you can usually find a space even on a sunny sunday. The visitor's centre has a cafe with excellent value, hearty food to keep you riding all day. And the uplift service is the best you'll find anywhere that hasn't got a chairlift. The bikes are secured on a trailer so they don't get damaged on the way up the hill and the minibuses are a lot more comfortable than the back of a tractor.

Fond memories of learning to ski here when i was at school…read more Went back recently - and realised how kind memories and time are to places. Receptionist / clerical staff were rude and disinterested - this is inexcusable at a council run leisure facility. Other staff there were in the same mould, but one person was very kind and cheerily turned the ski lift on for me. The slope itself is quite short, and with it being artificial you are basically skiing on a network of scrubbing brushes - if you fall on this stuff it is going to hurt. If you are serious about going away then to ski then i'd make the effort and try and get to Tamworth for the snowdome - this will far better prepare you for a holiday, and the expense is justified as you will get far more out of your holiday.

A well organised…read morebreak at a smart, friendly, atmospheric hotel with good food, good company and easy access to the centre of Chester. En route to Chester a very interesting stop at The Wedgewood Centre, a very warm welcome at the hotel and everything provided to make Christmas go with a swing. Superb driving from Ewan (his first Christmas away), en route commentary from Colin with regular offerings of sweets from Audrey all helped to make this a memorable Christmas.
