They are fabulous...not just the aesthetics, but the hospitality as well. I do NOT know why I cannot remember the 2 ladies who did my pedicure and manicure. Long weekend! (i will update with their names later) But super personable and...they cut cuticle VERY well... I am VERY particular with my cuticles and who touches them. they are more costly than your regular nail spa, but... I can see why. they use my favorite method or shaving and not the cheese grater nonsense that damages your feet...and their method with shallac is ideal. the paint has not chipped at all so far. (it has been a week so far) I have found my new nail place..FINALLY. since moving it has been VERY difficult finding one that meets my standards. Ok. Made an appointment here to get my nails done. It's clean inside and the people are pretty attentive. I was asked what I'd like to drink right when I sat down. They have a bar area as well for mixed drinks, but I opted for water. Hannah did my nails and she's really attentive to what I wanted done. I got a shellac manicure and brought in a picture of what I wanted. She was able to copy it and I'm pretty satisfied overall. I'm giving 4 stars because what I really wanted was to have some studs on my nails as well, but they were very limited to what they had and it didn't match what I wanted so I opted out of that design. I would definitely come back. Hannah did a great job of putting on a thin layer so my nails don't look bulky and the design was cute. read more

I finally found someone as OCD as me about polish and I couldn't be happier!! This was hands-down the most meticulous Shellac manicure I've ever had. It's showing too since I'm two weeks in and aside from growth, it's still flawless. Hannah took her time between coats and sometimes only dried a couple of nails because of time. After every single coat, even clears, she cleaned up the cuticle so there was never so much as a speck of polish that was somewhere it shouldn't be, or a single nick/scratch, or any missed spots. I am from LA and was visiting Houston for work. I stopped by at Glow Spa & Nails to get chrome nails. First of all, the guy who was doing my nails kept going back and forth asking another worker what colors to use and how to do what I asked. I asked for chrome nails, but he did a terrible job. My nails are grey french tip, not chrome. It took him almost 2 hours to do the work and even then he did not do what I asked. He did not clean my nails right and he charged me $70 for chrome nails, when my nails are grey. I specifically asked for an experience tech when making the appointment, but the guy "Sunny" had no idea what he was doing. Terrible, terrible, terrible job. Do not recommend to anyone. Also, while another client and myself getting nails done, another worker started sweeping the floor so I had to breath all the dust while sitting there. I don't know how people are going here. Will not be coming back EVER!!! Hi Michelle, If you think my nails are chrome, then there is a problem. My nails are grey not chrome. An experienced tech would know the difference between chrome and grey. As for the lady cleaning, she was cleaning right next to me and another client, she was not 3 ft apart. If you were closed then you should not have any clients after 6pm knowing that French tip would take 2 hours. It's very disrespectful when clients are sitting and you are cleaning. I had a nail chip once within a week and Michelle (the manager) fixed it for free. I've had four different women do my nails and they are all so great that I don't feel the need to request a specific technician. Parking is easy as they have reserved spots on the bottom floor of the parking garage behind the building. I don't normally write reviews, but I do rely on reading them to decide which places and the products to try when I'm looking for something new. I thought it was important to write this review for other people like me! After seeing the rave reviews on this page I decided to give this place a shot. It's a little pricier than other salons in the area, but I'm definitely willing to pay for a better quality experience and results. Sadly that is not what I received. The salon is cute and clean. The team was hospitable enough offering drinks almost as soon as I stepped in the door and no waiting time. I usually use dip powder on my hands and regular polish on my toes. I was told if I picked a polish below #883 they would have a powder to match. This is what I did, but unfortunately the colors don't match. I understand that there can be a slight shade difference when dealing with polish vs gel vs dip powder, but these two don't even look like they're the same color! To top it all off little to no attention was paid to my cuticles (which after dipping my whole hand in acetone for ten minutes they sorely needed. After closer inspection at home there is also stray polish off the nail on both my hands and feet. I can't speak to the staying power just yet as it hasn't been long enough. But for the price point of these services I really expect better attention to detail and for my hands and feet to be looking flawless when I leave! read more
