I was shocked to find soursop there! I have read so much about that helping with cancer. They also had locally made fire cider which is GREAT this time of year! Jason helped us & my God- he was GREAT! He gave me local cancer survivors resources & even let me borrow a book on Immunotherapy. He was a wealth of knowledge as a cancer survivor himself. I picked up some reishi & Lions mane mushrooms, other supplements, and some things to add to my husbands regimen. I found the prices incredibly fair & some were cheaper than I've been paying at Whole Foods. I'd MUCH rather give them my money than Amazon! Everyone was so kind and helpful! I took my time as there were many vitamins, herbal loose leave and encapsulated teas along with juices, powders, tinctures and general good for you grocery products too. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about their products and I really enjoyed my time there. It is the middle of the lunch hour and the shop is fairly busy which is always good to see as you know their products are fresher than most stores of this type. After I got home I discovered that the price I paid was nearly triple what is offered online. I like to support local businesses but not at that cost. I immediately called the store and spoke to Monica. I said I'd need to return it and knew she'd told me about the 24-hour return time. I had purchased it at 1:15pm. I asked her what time I'd need to get it there to get a refund and she assured me TWICE that I could bring it in anytime before closing, and that I did not need to be there strictly within the 24 hours as long as it was returned by the next day. It was more convenient for my work schedule to return it on my way home so I arrived at the store at 4pm. A different clerk was on duty and called the owner who told him I could not have a refund because it was just after the 24-hour limit. I told the clerk what Monica had said and asked him to call her, which he did. I couldn't hear her well but her tone was dismissive and she soon wanted to hang up and did. I talked more with the clerk and asked him to call her back to talk with me. He did and she said she couldn't override the owner and again was dismissive. I was upset at the way I was being treated and it showed. I said nothing rude or inappropriate but was demanding to get my money back, saying that the company should stand behind what their employees tell customers and this was not right and that I would have gone in in the morning had I known what Monica told me was false. I asked the clerk what was next and his answer was: "You leave and if you don't I'll call someone to have you removed." I was horrified at this threat and the terrible customer service. In hindsight I guess it explains the absurd 24-hour return policy. They don't want to offer good customer service so they make it nearly impossible to address issues. Hard to imagine why a business would want to treat customers this way.
