You know, hubby and I have known about this restaurant since we moved to Schaumburg 2 1/2 years…read moreago, but besides pierogies, we really had no idea what Polish food was all about. It was time to try. We expected a bit of a hole in the wall and that's not what we found - we found a very nicely decorated and maintained restaurant with a lot of dark wood overtones - we were seated immediately and given an extensive menu. I ordered a Polish beer, and we ordered a Polish plate - kind of a combination sampler plate if you will - and a ground pork cutlet dinner. Now before we could say anything? Some bread showed up with a lovely but lightly flavored hummus type spread- we enjoyed it because it also came with a nice big half sized pickle. When the Polish plate came? OMG we had sauerkraut - we had sausage - we had some pierogies, and when the pork cutlet came out? It literally covered the entire plate and was resting on a bed of freshly mashed potatoes. We shared the Polish plate and we shared the extremely large pork cutlet. Now to be fair? We loved the Polish plate immensely - while the cutlet was nicely breaded, and the mashed potatoes were great? I'm not certain I could say that about the pork cutlet. There was nothing wrong with it. I think the flavor was fine, but it was not something that I would order again. It just wasn't my taste that's all. So would we come again? Yes. Yes we would!

Had the sampler plate - just to get a taste of everything! Such a great variety, such a nice place to have in a strip mall. Can't wait to come back soon!

Truly authentic Greek Cuisine. Some of the fish choices are flown in from the Mediterranean…read more Food is so authentic that you can't pronounce what you are ordering. The service is knowledgeable and helps you pronounce the dishes. Of course, a large selection of hot and cold appetizers. Broad choices of entrees. Magnificent Lamb as to be expected. Sadly, no Lamb shank. Hopefully, on the menu soon. Fascinating selection of Greek wine. The Roses were great. Our party of six enjoyed a nice evening on a Saturday and did not feel a rush to turn over the table. Outside dining is available. A great patio for a nice Rose and appetizers. Worth a visit and enjoy a suburban taste of Greece.

TL/DR: Everything was fantastic, except for the pastitsio, which was still pretty damned good…read more What happens if find yourself in Chicago's NW suburbs, and, you want Greek food?? Option 1: Drive 30 to 45 minutes into the city and eat in Greek Town. Not ideal, but the worst thing in the world. Option 2: Avoid the cumbersome drive and eat at Naxos! This is a GREAT option! So, we were in Schaumburg for a reason and we stopped in for lunch. First thing you notice is that the place is nicely decorated. Appropriately "Greeky," I'd say. It's clean, bright, ethnic enough, and welcoming. The service was excellent. George (yeah, he's Greek-American) did a great job of explaining the menu and making suggestions. Service was fast, friendly, and accurate. We loved: The red beets, the garlic spread, the Greek bread, the potatoes, and the avgolemono soup. Although the pastitsio was not the best ever, it was still very good, and the portion was BIG! We left satisfied. The price? It's expensive to eat out these days, but we definitely got our money's worth at Naxos. 5 stars!

After trying this place, I really wish we had this in CA (or maybe we do and I had no idea this whole time). I LOOOOOOVE noodles so this place was literally made for me lol. Although when we visited, I was already semi-full from an earlier meal so I ended up just getting their gyoza which was honestly perfect. Super delicious and would definitely get again with some noodles! Service was quick and easy. They have the menu on the left side along the wall before you walk up to the register to order. The interior seating felt a little outdated but I assume most people order take out anyway. Huge parking lot, it was basically empty when we came by! My bf got some kind of teriyaki chicken noodle thing and his sister got some Mac n cheese. The portions are a good size and can honestly be made for two meals for someone like me. Would definitely come back! IG: @ammysalamii

Arrived, walked in and went straight to the front counter and informed the employee I had a couple Bowls for mobile order. The staff was very nice, There was plenty of seats for guests. I did notice their fountain juice bar was running low and maybe a couple needed to be changed out to the sprayer wasn't working? I only noticed two employees working during dinner time, so they were doing the best that they could. Music in the place was just right. Not too loud nor too quiet. So how was the food? It was good. Because I was the chef who selected the ingredients lol. I noticed the garlic sauce and green shug was different this time. The garlic sauce was runny and thin and I could see the green shug separated from the oil. Maybe it's me and that's how they should be, this was a first. Overall, I would recommend it.
