I hadn't visited since before Covid and remember having a lovely experience! My coworkers arranged a group dinner here last week and it was still the same fantastic experience! They were great with accommodating our large group and our server was amazing! Everyone enjoyed their meal and everything was served quickly. They even gave us separate checks, which was super accommodating. I was never the biggest fan of gnocchi until coming here where the owner is making fresh ricotta gnocchi daily. He even came over to the table and checked in with us, which made the experience feel so much more personable! I ordered the eggplant parm and subbed for palomino sauce... it was incredible! Be sure to try the chicken gnocchi soup- SO good. The ambiance is dim-lit and romantic, but comforting and decorated like an intimate restaurant in Italy. They also have a great wine selection. I absolutely love gnocchi (the entree) so was excited to give a restaurant that specializes in different types of gnocchi my business. There was a little hiccup -- no website or photos of the menu that I could find anywhere online. I realize I might be spoiled since the pandemic but not being able to even pull up an online menu (or quickly place a to go order online via Toast) feels like a missed opportunity, especially when they offer a full to go menu. When I called the business, the woman on the phone seemed confused about our dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and when I asked what she could recommend she didn't offer all the veg options on the menu to us, even after I clarified what I meant. She seemed annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted to order without having a menu. After going on yelp and looking for recommendations I was excited to try the mushroom soup... but it was sold out (another surprise since it was barely 5pm). Ultimately what we did order - palomino gnocchi - was very tasty and generous portion size so the food gets 5 stars but the attitude was a turn off. One of the best Gnocchi dishes I've had in a long time. The gnocchi are made with ricotta, light and pillow soft. The bolognese sauce was authentic and flavorful. Meatballs were tasty and brought back memories of my Nona's kitchen. The teaser had 3 different sauces and garlic bread. Lunch prices of the meals and wine are very reasonable. This has to be a joke.... I ordered a combination platter of gnocchi (an entree sampling of three different gnocchis) from them via GrubHub for pickup. Picked up my order and service was great! Yntil I got home and saw that my order was completely wrong and received the most pathetic portion of parmesan cheese I've ever seen... Really looking forward to trying the combo, I called the restaurant to have the order resolved, was immediately meant with a defensive "The order came through just as a 'gnocchi'" and after I told them I ordered a combination gnocchi via GrubHub and could show them the receipt, I was met with a very defensive "Well, what do you want us to do about it"... I just said "Well I guess I just want to make you all aware. I was really looking forward to trying the combination...". There wasn't a chance I was willing to go back there and feel embarrassed/shamed for asking them to correct my order. Gnocchi is the appropriate name for this restaurant. Almost everything has gnocchi in it. I like the theme. This is a cozy, family owned restaurant. Seats in the booths are very lumpy however. The waitress and the rest of the staff were very friendly and their service was good. The sauces on the chicken piccata and saltimbocca were a bit heavy for us, but had a good flavor. They put caper liquid in the piccata sauce. It was very noticeable. The salads were fresh. Now, the dinner rolls....Amazing! They are a simple yeast roll, but done so well. I like that the style of this restaurant does not attract a huge crowd. I needed a good relaxing dinner and that is exactly what I got. I wish they served glasses of wine that I would choose. I highly dislike the option of paying for a bottle that is marked up 1000%. So, I skipped the wine. We'll be back and I'll try a tomato based sauce dish to cut the richness of the gnocchi. For dinner on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, I ate at this Italian restaurant in Clinton Township. I ordered spinach gnocchi with palomino sauce as my main course. I was also served rolls and a cup of chicken gnocchi soup. First to say, the gnocchi here is fantastic. It's homemade, and not store bought. I even like the gnocchi here better than Picano's, since these ones also have a small ricotta filling. I thought my chicken gnocchi soup was fantastic. The broth was quite flavorful. I thought the rolls were tasty. The palomino sauce in my spinach gnocchi dish was fantastic. It was a deal, costing only $20 per person for all this food. My waitress was quite courteous and helpful. I got the food very fast. I liked the traditional Italian decor with a Michigan twist to it. I highly recommend trying this Italian restaurant, especially for those on a tighter budget. read more

I'm sad I didn't know about this place sooner. You wouldn't really notice it being that it's in a strip mall that's not very busy. Our server, Jim was very entertaining, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and food. Mushroom soup was amazing. I can definitely see why it won awards. The house salad was just your basic salad but I loved the creamy garlic house dressing. Even the rolls were very good. I did not get a picture but we had the cauliflower appetizer as well. As for my main dish, my chicken pesto with gnocchi was good and a very generous portion. Jim also got me a cannoli because it was my birthday and that was delicious as well. I've driven past this place who knows how many times. I never knew anyone who went there, but a local Facebook group mentioned that it was very good. So we went for an early Saturday dinner. It was so satisfying! Sadly, I didn't take any pictures because I forgot my phone, but trust that everything we had looked and tasted amazing. I had the gnocchi combination. It was nice to try three different ways. The Bolognese was hands down the best! It tasted like my Mom's. Hubs got the best lovers that had steak, Italian sausage, pancetta and a beef demi glaze. The sausage in it was nicely sliced and the whole dish was amazing! The gnocchi was pillowy and cooked just right. You can tell it's house made gnocchi and not something from a package. Portions were perfect! We both had the salad with homemade garlic dressing. I could put that on everything! The bread was piping hot! Went here for lunch with the company that is trying to recruit me. For lunch I ordered veal piccata asked specifically for no onions on everything. When it arrived, everything looked good. halfway through my meal I noticed very finally cut up onions, very fine and started looking through my food. Unfortunately, these people left the onions in and put them in a size that I couldn't see them, the reason I ask for no onion is because I'm highly allergic to onion and it causes me diarrhea. when I got home. This Italian restaurant is one of my favorites(mainly because I love gnocchi).It is really nice and the ambiance is really authentic. The Gnocci is really good and they have many variations of gnocchi sauces too.The only downside is this restaurant being out of the way from hall road. Ok so I hate to give a family establishment a bad review but we walked in and were greeted with an overwhelming smell of burnt oil. The tables were weirdly set up, it was kind of set up like a Coney Island. We looked at the menu and left. I've heard a lot of good things about this place but we just couldn't get over the smell of burnt oil and it was kind of smoky in there from the grill or fryer or whatver it was but I'd prob get a carry out from here I wouldn't dine in here. My wife and I tried Gnocchi for the first time and were very impressed! We received excellent service and the food was great. I tried the chicken gnocchi soup and the chicken parm/gnocchi. Both were very good. My wife had a salad and the gnocchi sampler and about the house garlic salad dressing. We had a great meal, split a bottle of wine and took plenty of gnocchi home with us, all for a more than reasonable price. As soon as we entered, my mouth was salivating from the fragrant aromas simmering in the kitchen. Not to be denied, my tastebuds leapt for joy from both the baskets of steaming hot bread and the house dressing on my garden-fresh salad. The wait staff was on top of our every need and extremely friendly. Chefs could be seen crafting our hand-made gnocchi after we ordered. We had a table of eight people with many different dishes and everything was amazing! Make sure to save room for dessert. I ordered a cannoli and it was delicious! We also ordered a slice of peanut butter pie for everyone to share. I didn't get a chance to take a picture because it was gone almost as soon as it arrived. If 1/2 stars were a thing this place would get a 3.5. Definitely good and we've been here twice now, but not knock your socks off good. Hubby loves the Chicken Tosca, but is eh on the gnocchi that comes with. He isn't a big gnocchi person, though. I like the Gnocchi Combination to try three sauces. The Alfredo is good, creamy and cheesy but it feels like it's really lacking something- like salt or garlic, just something. The gnocchis themselves are delicious. Handmade pasta is where it's at!! The Italian sausage and peppers appetizer is DELISH. The creamy garlic house dressing is also a must. Very disappointed!! Last night we ordered for the first time (Carryout). After tip - total was $100. Gnocchi and meatballs. Meatballs were small and pointless. We were expecting big meatballs for the price of the meal. Bread is basically boring dinner rolls. Chicken Parmesan and Gnocchi was okay. The side of Gnocchi was small so I basically paid $17 for a piece of thin fried chicken. Lasagna was by far the worse. Noodles were hard and the ricotta cheese was dry which means the lasagna was made sometime last week. Haven't tried the soup yet but my sister said it was okay. If you want soup instead of the salad there's a $2.50 up charge and the Italian dressing for the salad tasted like someone forgot to stir the dressing. Gag! Oh and I asked for a small side of Alfredo sauce TO TRY! & they gave me a huge side and charged me $8.99!!!! What the hell! After seeing coupons in the circulars for Gnocchi Italian Restaurant, I had to give it a try. My second reason for coming here was for their Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup. I used to get it all the time at the Heidelberg Restaurant on Gratiot in Mt. Clemens and it was so delicious. When I found out it's made here by the same chef, Jeff Heinzman, I knew I had to try this restaurant out. After being seated, we both wanted water only. I'm not a big soft drink person and usually have restaurant meals with water. I then inquired about using my coupons I clipped for buy one entree, get one free up to an $8 value. In order to use this coupon, we needed to order drinks which neither of us wanted. So to buy the drinks which we didn't want, it would have taken away some of our savings on the entree, so I was a little disappointed and didn't use the coupon. Instead I used the coupon for the free bowl of the Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup. The first spoonful brought back the fine memories of the soup I had missed from so long ago. It was just as good and full of flavor as I had remembered it to be. I ordered the Portabella Mushroom Gnocchi and my mom ordered the Spinach Gnocchi. Both came with salads and we had a basket of rolls as well. Both meals when served, had nice presentations and tasted very good with that 'home made in an Italian kitchen' taste and were quite filling. In fact we both took the remainder of our meals home. You can't let a good meal go to waste! The delicious soup alone is something I'd definitely recommend along with a salad if you are looking for a lighter meal. I enjoyed the relaxing Italian music playing softly in the background, the small vases of fresh cut flowers on each table and the aroma of fresh home Italian cooking. A good place to come for a variety of gnocchi dishes. Came here on Monday night and we were served promptly. The service here was really good. Our server was friendly and quick. We got the antipasto salad, chicken tusca, and a special steak gnocchi dish. We also got complimentary bread. I would have to say that the gnocchi itself was very good, I felt the sauces were just okay. You can tell that the gnocchi is handmade. First, Covid friendly and safe. The booth seats aren't the most comfy, they feel a little dated and the aesthetic could use some update but that's secondary. We tried a number of dishes and they were decent. Both of us are gnocchi connoisseurs so we were beyond excited to fall in love with a local spot. We both agreed average at best. The gnocchi is made with ricotta cheese and not potatoes which made them very gummy and tasteless. In addition, I ordered the chicken picatta Which was very bland and served and what appeared to be a gravy rather than a lemon sauce and served over gnocchi. Wow! The food is just incredible here! Nothing like it anywhere else! Imagine a full menu centered around Gnocchi!?! My absolute Italian Favorite! The Meunster Chicken is a must try. I remember ordering a Meunster Chicken from a castle restaurant decades ago, it was their most popular meal there with a very well known chef. This Meunster Chicken Gnocchi meal is identical to what I remember. I can onlyvasdume this is the same renowned chef?!? That would explain why their good is so darn good! This delightful new gem to the community has been in business since March of this year (2016). This restaurant used to be a restaurant called, Siro's. I would say this new eatery is definitely an upgrade. They didn't do that much to the decor other than paint the wall and ceiling. The layout inside, the booths and tables appear to be the same as when it was Siro's. But who cares about decor when you are digging into that delicious gnocchi! This stuff is awesome. They are home-made little noodles or dumplings filled with cheese. I ordered the spinach, cheese gnocchi with meat sauce. The gnocchi was soft and tasty. The meat sauce was pure perfection. The salad served before the meal was crisp, plentiful and fresh. The menu had a variety of items to choose from. The service was good. The only thing is it was a little warm and stuffy in the dining room and the servers were rushing around as a result they appeared in front of us looking haggard and actually sweating quite a bit...not appealing. I appreciate good service but I don't want to feel sorry for my server because they look like they ran the mile under 4 minutes. We will definitely return. *Update, they have been opened one year.
