As sweet as a Vet gets…read more.. This animal hospital is situated in the semi-rural suburb of Rossmore, in Greater Western Sydney. It's the only vet in Sydney that has an Magnetic Resonance (MR) Unit that have facilities for your pet to perform an MRI scan if necessary. This is a pioneering veterinary center that employs staff who really care about your animal. I recently took my kitten here for a consultation regarding his "bad breath" which I was affectionately told was caused by Gingivitis he contracted when he was a stray, as he was born on the streets and I found him in my garage when I moved into my last house. This wasn't too concerning as he is going through his teething phase anyway where his kitten teeth fall out and new adult teeth come through - and he was prescribed a fortnights worth of antibiotics which worked immediately, and his bad breath was sorted within a day! I was very pleased with the result and the trustworthiness I felt towards the vets at Rossmore Vet, so I booked him in with them to be desexed the following week. Being the new mother of a kitten, I was of course, very concerned about my little boy's admission into the Veterinary Hospital, but I had every faith in the Vets that work there, so I felt very secure that he would be just fine. And he was! They didn't even keep him overnight, I simply dropped him off at 9am and then was able to pick him up after work at 6:45pm that evening. Delighted that he had recovered from his sedative with no issues, I left the Vet being told by the surgeon that he was one of her favourites, and everyone who worked there thought he was a little sweetie! I have since booked him in for his further vaccinations, as I am very impressed with their work ethic, employees, environment and overall vibe of this new service which I must now become accustomed to. I am just so pleased that I have found an appropriate, convenient, and valuable (value for money too - they do not overcharge you) complex within the outskirts of Inner Sydney.

If only I had not sent her to Rossmore Vet, my little girl would have been alive and celebrating Christmas with us. On Tues (20/12), my little girl went for a simple procedure of de-sexing and was discharged the next evening. We found her breathless the following morning. Rossmore Vet deny any wrong however she was bleeding internally and discharged without appropriate checks. She was the MOST beautiful, caring and gentle soul. I will never forgive Rossmore Vet - you have taken a part of me. Please be careful when you take your pet to this horrible place - they simply don't care. Look after your babies...and avoid Rossmore Vets. My fit and healthy girl had many more years to live but this right was taken away from her. How can you be so cruel and negligent in your duty of care? How can they continue to carry out their business?? I will not rest until I find justice for my little angel..... Whilst Rossmore Vet & staff enjoy Christmas, my house is quiet with silent cries and thoughts of our baby. We cry the most when our other dog cries as he misses her so much - our heart is absolutely broken. I wouldn't recommend an inch of a STAR for this awful business!!

They smirked too, but I think they tried to make sure he didn't see. A dog with claustrophobia? Surely you can't be serious. Apparently it is serious, though the symptoms manifest themselves in different ways to the human parallel. Anyway, with plenty of TLC and advice from Mosman Vet the poor shame-faced pet is regaining his composure - though it's not been a quick process. Plenty of patience and sympathy - particularly courtesy of the team of caring and attentive vet nurses.

Everyone at the Vet's were so lovely (I was a bit frantic, as I only had her for less than 24 hours. Very kind, compassionate and reliable the all female staff were. We had to come back as we were concerned about our kitten's sneezing and watery eyes and we saw Dr. Prue this time around, and she was just as helpful and thorough with us, checking just about everything to make sure our cat is in tip top condition. I'm very impressed with the doctors and staff here, you can tell all of them has a great appreciation for animals and this makes you feel that bringing your pet here means they will get the best care and service possible.

On Lexington Avenue in Bella Vista, if you go too fast you miss the driveway which is hidden. The large signs saying Sydney Animal Hospital can only be seen from one direction so be careful. The hospital is bright and cheery - it reminds me of a children's dentist. All the vets on duty are female and very caring of the animals. They explain things very well and give you alternatives if you have a seriously ill pet. They also have a grooming salon. You take your pet in the morning then pick them up after 3pm smelling and looking beautiful. The prices are very reasonable and they take credit cards. They have a full retail store where you can buy dry food for dogs and cats and all accessories. It's too far for me to take my current dogs there as there are several vets closer but if I lived closer I would definitely still be using them.

I stop in here often to pick up my picky eater's cat food and so far have held out against the kitten temptation. But barely. I am always greeted with a smile and some puzzlement over my cat's name. It's a literary joke, nobody gets it but me. They're grateful it's not another 'Tigger' though, clogs up their computer system no end. The staff here were universally kind last year when my cranky old gentleman of a cat got sick and they had to deal with not only a terrified cat but a sadly near-hysterical cat custodian (ownership is not really an appropriate term for a cat). It was a little confusing speaking to a different vet every time I had to ring or come in, but all were patient and caring. I'm off now to melt into a squeaky puddle at the sight of kittens. It's pathetic.

Jo the vet nurse is very lovely!!! She always looks out for coco and is so good with dogs. We have seen lots of vets mostly Lisa who is great, and one of the owners who was a surgeon that operated when she broke her jaw and sewed in her teeth that she had lost. Would definitely recommend them particularly for dogs!!

My fat, stupid, guts of a pug is more important to me than firstborn child is to new parents, and…read morethese guys may very well have saved her life. I say 'may' because we don't know which flavour of chewing gum she ate. Let's start at the beginning. The Pug ate an entire packet of Extra Whitening chewing gum - there are 3 flavours of this type of gum, 2 of which have an artificial sweetener called Xylitol which is highly toxic to dogs. Little dog, big dose = potentially fatal. I mentioned she ate an entire damned packet, right? Called up the vet and explained, he said to bring The Pug down immediately. He was waiting outside when I pulled the car up, he ran over and scooped the Pug up and bolted inside with her. Really, really appreciated his urgency, esp. as he had other dogs waiting. He explained everything very clearly & concisely to me, then he and his assistant sprang into action. They put in eye drops to make The Pug puke, then sifted through the vom for removing gum and packet fragments, and from these tried to identify which flavour she'd eaten, and then measured the potential amount of toxicity, all the while allowing me to buzz around like an anxious mother hen. Dr Peter Lee, you're a damned saint my friend, really appreciate everything you did for us. You're a gentleman and a professional. The Pug is fine now, btw. Still stupid, but healthy as an ox.
