Really enjoyed my cryotherapy sessions at NextGen Cryo. Mark took time to explain the process and benefits, and answer all my questions. I've visited three cryo therapy places and NextGen Cryo has been the best. Their Mission Valley location is very convenient and has good hours although he did mention they would be moving to Convoy. I tried them at their grand opening and returned when I had pain and soreness in my back from running. A week of cryo had me back on track for my half marathon training schedule. The best benefits from cryo have been reducing inflammation, greater mobility and a boost of energy. I have been going in into nextgen cryo biweekly after my physical therapist recommended it to improve my health after rupturing my Achilles' tendon. I had heard about this place when it first opened and was curious about whether or not it worked, but never got around to trying it. This month, I noticed NextGen Cryo had partnered with my gym to provide a discount for their services and that was the final push I needed. You can book an appointment online or just walk in. I went without an appointment on a Thursday night and it was pretty empty--I didn't have to wait at all.  Basically, you sign the waiver and are shown the changing room where you remove your clothes and put on a provided robe, gloves, pair of socks and slippers. Matt helped me out from the beginning to the end. He opened the chamber and a rush of chilled fog came out, but you step in with the robe and the door is closed. You remove your robe and then...you just stand there for three minutes while the cold air circles you and the cold works its magic. I definitely felt the cold, but despite it getting as low as -270°, I never shivered. Matt chatted with me the whole time about the process and how it worked, which made the time go by quickly. There's also a tv you can watch if you'd prefer to enjoy the treatment in silence.  Once the three minutes pass, you're handed back the robe, and when you're ready, he opens the chamber and you go back and change into your clothes. The entire visit only lasted about 15 minutes and I did feel the endorphins right away and for several hours afterwards. I'm fairly active and frequently wake up sore, so I am excited to see how my body responds to the treatment. I did notice that they have a 'New Year' special on all their packages which is definitely a deal I'll take them up on soon! read more

I was in the area and saw the NextGen Cryo sign so I decided to try it out. I wasnt sure what to expect, but thanks to Mark I was able to get a grasp on cryotherapy. After filling out a few paperwork, I was shown the room with the cryotherapy sauna and they explained how the process worked, what the therapy would feel like, and what I could expect to feel afterwards. So this definitely a unique experience! A workout buddy of mine recommended NextGen to help me recover after my workouts. I workout 6 days a week in the goal of increasing muscle and building aesthetics and this has definitely helped me push my body to recover faster. The cryo therapy is incredibly cool, literally! You step in for two minutes and it feels like you fell into a pile of snow but after you get out of the chamber you feel like a new person.
