Like I said, this seems to be more for any kid that wants to ride a pony, but not if you are looking to advance your career (IEF and above type).

There are a lot of empty stalls, though!…read more My main complaints are that the horses spend too much time in the stall and they nickel and dime you to death...I've never taken any of their lessons because they are too expensive. Example: this past summer was very wet, so they would not put the horses in the pasture for fear they would tear up the pasture. However, they did offer to put your horse on the hot walker for $10 per day but you had to buy 10 days minimum. In addition, they insist on keeping your credit card on file to automatically charge. To push this strategy, they charged extra if you paid by check, stating that it was due to the extra costs of cashing checks....uh.... there ARE no extra fees for cashing checks but you do pay more for credit card transactions!

He has attended other summer camps in prior years but enjoyed St Luke's by far. Summer camp is a lot of fun, the pool is open, they have field trips every Friday and more. He enjoyed summer camp so much, that last year we decided to do after school there as well. They offer other activities as well, so he is taking Taekwondo and a science/stem class this semester (took tennis previously as well). He does his homework there as well. All in all, an awesome place.

Willie is by far my favorite as I'm an avid opossum lover. Such great animals to have visit your yard at night. I welcome the free pest control from a very misunderstood marsupial. We were able to pet Willie (highlight of my visit even if he "played dead") along with a milk snake and a striped skunk named Ambrosia. The variety of owls here are amazing & beautiful from screech owls to barn to barrel. Before walking the grounds there was a trailer that housed lots of hands on learning (animal pelts, foot prints, scat varieties, skeletons a plenty, taxidermy scene). You can tell that this facility invests in proper care for the Texas wildlife it rehabilitates and houses as well as does an exceptional job educating the public. There was plenty of parking with overflow parking being located in what looks like a shared lot with the church. Definitely look forward to coming again during another one of their events or classes.

I was shocked at how the kids were being heavily & loudly screamed at. They were being reprimanded for ripping posters off walls and threatened with losing bathroom privileges. It was followed by a younger adult screaming at the entire group of students at the top of her lungs military style. It was so jarring that my two kids were terrified. She screamed like a drill sergeant things like, "you sit up straight when people are talking to you, especially when an adult is speaking to you." It was like an episode of scared straight and they were felons. I told them I wanted to hear what was happening and that I didn't like what was going on there and if this was normal. The woman said, "yes, it's summer camp." So I said okay I'm not interested in signing them up and walked out. If your kids use this camp, please beware!!!!

All of the children were all very engaged in their teachers and were enjoying their surroundings. My daughter has grown by leaps and bounds in education and speech. Learning to write her name and recognize letters. She enjoys going to school and never gives me a hard time about it like she has at past day cares. Rather than using this as an opportunity to work with us and help him adjust, the director Leyla chose to immediately expelled him, saying that they could not risk having an investigation against the daycare. I understand that childcare providers have to take children's statements seriously. However, I expected an early learning center to recognize that young children sometimes say impulsive things when they're testing boundaries, especially during major life changes. I was extremely disappointed that there was no attempt to partner with us or help him succeed before making the decision to remove him from the program. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Caring Corner to families whose children may need patience, understanding, and support.
