We just spent a weekend in Karlovy Vary and ate at Goethe's one night. I suggest a reservation if you are coming after 5PM, but we came without one and were seated fairly quickly.
The restaurant is nice and well decorated. The atmosphere was fun and festive. Staff were friendly and attentive even though they were busy. They have a decent beer selection and I was happy to try some new brews that I hadn't had in other places.
The food was good. We had beef which was well cooked and very tasty. The chips with garlic sauce were also surprisingly tasty. The sausage dish was also really good. I expected larger sausages, but with that said, while not a huge dish, the quality was superb.
The bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Ultimately, the restaurant is pretty good. Prices are slightly higher than what I would expect, but Karlovy Vary is a touristy place. For a tourist hot spot, the prices are fair. read more
