On numerous occasions I requested updates or asked to schedule meetings but did not receive timely replies or anything at all. Missed Deadlines-Important deadlines in my case were missed because I was not informed and the attorney did not take proactive steps to ensure timely filings or actions. Unannounced Maternity Leave/Lack of Coverage-Ms. Fischer went on maternity leave without informing me in advance or arranging proper client communication/coverage. I was left without a responsible attorney contact and with uncertainty about who was handling my file during her absence. Late & Inaccurate Billing Statements-I received billing statements that were significantly delayed, contained unclear or unexplained charges, and lacked sufficient detail. I requested clarification multiple times and did not receive adequate responses. False Promises/Unfulfilled Commitments-On several occasions, Ms. Fischer promised to schedule meetings, file motions, or provide updates by a certain date, yet she failed to follow through. My ex and I pretty much agreed on everything but there were a few small details that need to be worked out. Ms. Fischer failed to inform me that she had just given birth and was technically on maternity leave. I paid her the agreed upon fee and gave her all the information she requested. Weeks would go by and my emails and phone calls would be left unreturned. When calling the office, a 3rd party answering service takes the phone calls and forwards messages that are never returned. No one in the physical office ever answers a phone call. Finally, in December, after months had gone by and my relationship was getting very bad with no final resolution in sight, I had to seek representation from another attorney. My new attorney reached out to Ms. Fisher about the money I had paid and she agreed to issue a refund for not providing the service I had paid for. She stated my case "fell through the cracks" and it was unfortunate. I followed up with her on 12/22/25 asking of the check had been sent. She replied on 12/29/25 stating she was out of the office all week and she would get a check in the mail that day. It is now 1/27/26, I have sent numerous emails following up with her and left several messages with the phone service and I have not heard back from her. No communication whatsoever and I still have not received a refund.

Little did I know he probably wrote a review on himself to get those stars or a had a close aquaintenance do it. My mother had gone thru a Bankruptcy 7 years ago and it was very hard to do and she had told him that up front during our free consultation which was over the phone. After the conversation with Chad, my mother and myself Lisa we all agreed he would represent my mother. He told us he would start the process and needed my mother to sign some papers. So a few days went by and mother had not heard from him so she had me call him and find out why he hadn't sent us anything or called. So I called him and got his answering service " we talked to his answering service more than himself." She stated that he was out sick and not sure he would be in the office he had told everyone that he had Covid - 19 or flue and he would not be able to come into the office. By the end of the week and about the time for me and my husband to go back home which was out of state I contacted his office again and this time she tracked him down and I asked him again are you ok to take on this Bankruptcy he said he was getting better but I told him I wanted to get this Bankruptcy started before we left for MN so he sent me paper work thru my email that mother and I looked at and we went to his office which only his front desk secretary was at and my mother and I met with her and she explained what we needed to do. So I read my mother who is 82 the paperwork and she signed the documents authorizing him to pull Credit Reports and etc. My mother also gave him 600 for a retainer fee and told her his secretary that we would give him the rest of the money when the Bankruptcy papers were signed by all parties. In his papers he wanted all the money before he filed. He charged my mother 600 for retainer, 300 for the state processing fee and the rest for his work 1,500 all together 2,100 which my mother and I thought was high but he came highly recommended by google and now it was to late to cancel I wanted to help get this done for my mother before we went back to MN. I remember telling me telling my Mother before I left Mother you do not have to worry Chad will take care of this for you and I am only a phone call away. So Chad sent over a link to the credit counseling that mother was suppose to complete before she could file I read the questions over the phone to my mother and she answered them. I then submitted them to Chad by email. He never called to tell us that he received the test I always had to follow up with him and he was never able to be reached except when he was to meet Mom for the remaining money and sign the paperwork. 2 weeks later this finally happened my mother met him on March 1st and gave him the rest of money in a cashiers check and then she got a call on Friday March 5th from Chad expecting it to be done and instead she got the worst news she could imagine that she had to wait one more year to file Bankruptcy and on top of that when she asked for her money back he said he would not give her 2,100 back and that he would keep it for her next year when she could file. Mean time my mother was in tears and she said what about all the Creditors that have been calling for two months and demanding payments now for sure her credit was ruined. Last time I had checked my mothers credit she had a 620. She just didn't want to leave her children with her bills if and when she died. I do not plan on taking this likely how he treated my mother of 82 and taking her money and not doing his do diligence telling her up front that she could not file Bankruptcy.
