Always a pleasure coming to Gogi. The service was quick and friendly. In the background, there were K-pop music videos playing, and as always the food is top-notch, which is why we always return here. We had so much leftover as well. The prices are great too!

Arrived about 9:10pm. We were greeted and seated immediately. We partly selected this restaurant because it is open until 10pm on weekends. The restaurant was quiet with only a few people and pop music playing. We promptly ordered two Bimbibap bulgogi beef. Our food arrived about 10 minutes. Both dishes looked great and had good flavor although a little heavy on the salt is the reason for the drop to four stars. Recommend!

Gogi has been my go-to for Korean food for years. Service is quick, and the quality & taste of the food is consistent. The layout inside is open and welcoming with plenty of tables and booths. They start you out with 6 banchan (small side dishes) - my favorites are the fish cake, spicy cucumbers, and kimchi. For appetizers, I like the Kimchi Pancake and Calamari. For entrees, I like the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi - it's actually barely spicy, but you can ask for it to be extra spicy. It comes with a serving of white rice. However, I like to eat it with the Kimchi Fried Rice. It is so flavorful and comes topped with a fried egg. My family really likes the Spicy Squid & Pork Belly. It is packed full of flavor, and we like to drizzle the sauce over white rice. During winter, I also order the Soon Tofu Soup with kimchi (they have meat options as well). It comes out boiling hot and has a little spicy kick that warms me right up! They also drop a raw egg in it that's perfectly boiled by the time it gets to the table. You can choose the spice level - mild, medium, spicy, or very spicy. They offer bento box specials for both lunch and dinner. One thing I haven't tried is their Fried Chicken which comes in a few different flavors. Gogi has a second location in Ahwatukee, but I haven't been there yet. The Chandler one is located in the same plaza as Lee Lee Supermarket. There is some parking in front of the restaurant and around the corner, or a nearby lot between the restaurant and CVS.

Great food at fair price. Good size portions. Clean, seating inside and out. Order at the counter, you are called when order is ready. Staff is friendly. Reasonably quick service. Delicious food.

I came here for dinner on a weeknight and wasn't disappointed. I ordered the spicy rice cake with ramen, the bulgogi bibimbap, and the sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. My favorite dish was the spicy rice cake. The portion was huge! It had a good ratio of rice cake to veggie to ramen. Each bite was delicious. The Korean fried chicken was delicious as well. I wish they had a boneless option but it was delicious nonetheless. Overall the food was good and the service was nice.

Gogi is the type of spot you need to scratch that itch for korean comfort foods. The portions for most of the menu is huge so definitely bring friends or be ready to have leftovers. The vibe in Gogi is more casual, playing KPop music videos, and not too loud. The staff is polite but not in your face about it. The spicy rice cake with ramen and dumplings is around 27$ give or take which was plenty of food for 2 people. Overall, Gogi is a nice cozy spot for getting korean classics like Korean Fried Chicken or Kimchi Rice as well!

I live near the Ahwatukee location of Gogi and love their food, so this was my first time visiting this location. It's clean, spacious, and super cute with the string lights and the K-pop music added such a fun ambiance! We ordered lunch bento boxes. I got the spicy pork belly, which could've been a little spicier (just my preference), but it was still delicious. My child had the chicken katsu; it was a bit overcooked in some spots, but still good overall. Service was fast and efficient! The older gentleman who seated us was very helpful and attentive, we really appreciated that. When we were leaving, they even gave us a to-go bag without us having to ask. Overall, we loved the food and the service. We'll definitely be back!

Great Korean in east valley. It is a little expensive, but food is always great. Their kimchi soon tofu soup is a favorite. Their fried chicken is delish too. Always big portions as well. Friendly quick service. Always very clean and organized.

We ordered the army hotpot, pork bulgogi, and fried chicken. I wasn't fond of the army stew, but others in my party liked it. I thought the chicken and bulgogi were excellent. Very traditional Korean food

Had lunch with kids, and they love this place to get their Korean food fix in Arizona. My wife and I see why as we enjoyed everything we ordered. Starting with the Bonchon, each dish was delicious with its own unique flavor. The Kimchi Pancake was devoured, and my wife enjoyed her soup. Our service was polite and checked on us frequently. Overall, we see why our kids who are local have this spot in their rotation, and I am sure we will be back in the future.

Yummy food and great service! I ordered the California rolls and they were delicious. I also had edamame for an appetizer and it didn't disappoint.

Been here a few times now and have had a different experience every time. The portion size for their entrees is quite generous, with appropriate pricing. Taste-wise however, their food isn't consistent. Their food can taste delicious and on point one visit, and the next visit those same dishes can be lacking in flavor. But there are also certain dishes that I've had from here that have stayed consistent. Those being, the kalbi and the garlic fried chicken, both are dishes that are hard to go wrong with at any Korean restaurant. Overall, service is friendly enough but has always been quite slow. The restaurant might look small from the outside, but it's quite spacious with plenty of tables. The décor on the inside is simple, with not much of an ambience.

The Golden original (left side of the picture): it was really crispy on the outside, and the meat is steaming hot on the inside. I like the battered texture of the outside, however because the batter is quite thick so I got tired of the dish after 2 pieces. The pieces were really big. Secret sauce flavor: the sauce was nice, it tastes similar to a soy garlic flavor. I like this one better than the golden original. Overall the food was delicious and the staff were nice. The restaurant has plenty of seating. FYI: the pickle radish side dish is not free. It's $2 extra, which I'm not sure if it just this location that charges it or entire Bbq chain. Korean BBQ is all about timing, attentiveness, and energy -- and he mastered all three. He was incredibly attentive without hovering. Our table was never cluttered, drinks were always refilled before we even had to think about it, and the meat rotations were perfectly timed. At a place like Gen where the pace can make or break the experience, he kept everything flowing smoothly. What impressed us most was his professionalism and attitude. He was knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and confident in explaining different cuts and options. He made sure we understood how everything worked and checked in consistently to ensure we had exactly what we needed. But beyond just doing his job, he had that rare quality of genuine service. Friendly, respectful, efficient, and personable. You can tell he takes pride in representing the restaurant. He made us feel like valued guests, not just another table in a busy dining room. They offer a sort of cook-it-yourself experience where you order up to two kinds of broths, and they bring them to you in a large pot that goes over your tabletop grill. You receive meats from your server, and have access to a self-serve bar of vegetables, noodles, seafood, and spices. Because it is so customizable you can really experiment with flavors and come up with some delightful combinations. I was a big fan of the brisket and octopus in the spicy broth, and my fiancée enjoyed the pork belly in the sweet broth. Both pots also complemented each other quite well! My favorite part of the ambiance was the privacy curtains. Because tables are all next to each other I imagine it would be easy to see what other diners are doing, but the curtains add a sense of privacy that made us feel like we were almost dining alone. Our service was also excellent. We had several people working in the restaurant come by during the meal to make sure we had all the broth, water, and meats that we wanted. Definitely try Jin Shabu!
