In short About as good as it gets for yaki. I tend to go for the grilled style more often, but for pan/flattop-fried, it's hard to imagine a better plate of chicken than this. In long This is a huge strip mall parking lot that just disappears in a sea of huge strip mall parking lots along the big street out front. GC is tucked into one of the smallest suites you can imagine here; there's retail a short hop away that must be over 20K square feet, but here there's space for maybe 6 stools at the little counters. You have to turn sideways (not kidding) to read the menu. It's simple--a few proteins, served a few different ways, also available as combos. Most of their business is to-go orders. There's a cooler of pops and a couple sports drinks, and there's lovely classical music on the speakers somewhere. I listened to a pretty sonata for piano and string quartet while I waited and ate. The lady is super nice, a woman of few words and constant activity. She's answering the phone, grabbing online orders, and smiling at walk-ins. I got a pop and the spicy chicken combo. There's Sriracha on the counter. The miso was solid, and the salad had a little more than the usual iceberg and shreds in it. Some leaf lettuce, too! The chicken is super moist and nicely flavorful, but even getting the Spicy I still hit the Sriracha pretty hard. Amazing flavor and texture even without the scoring from the grill. I ate more than half of it before it occurred to me that some smoky grillness might be nice, so nothing's missing here. The rice is soft and chewy, solid light flavor, plenty of moisture still in it. Fresh made for sure. Prices here are right in line with everybody else. Looks like their KFC is a big hit and I might have to be back for that. read more

This place is such a gem!!! The food here is amazing, the portions are great, the staff is incredibly friendly, and there is ample parking. We got the fried garlic chicken which was really great! It comes with cheese on it which I wish I would've known because I'm lactose intolerant, but I'm not even mad because it was delicious. The Korean fried chicken is also great and slightly spicy. The bulgogi is also really great but could use both more sugar and salt. We'd eat all of it again and again, so delicious!! After our favorite teriyaki restaurant in the Everett mall closed, we were looking for a new go-to place. Gold chicken has a ton of options, we've gone a few times now and have been happy each time. The portions are huge, the price is reasonable, and wait time isn't too bad. The inside is cute, but really small so I recommend getting it to go. One thing that will always make me happy is when I order spicy (I always ask for extra spicy) and it actually delivers. This is my second review. Just updating with some pictures and new dish. The owners, husband and wife Denny and Mrs. Young still helm the kitchen and front. They did some reorganizing and there are some chairs and counter space mixed in plus t.v. Menus. Denny is in the kitchen, constantly putting out great food and creating spectacular dishes. I've been privy to some in the works innovations. His newest dish was his take on a classic delectable: chicken tenders. There is a promotional poster out front stating a classic version and Korean inspired version. When I ordered the chicken tenders I was going to do both but only the classic was available. I did the 10 piece. I also ordered the Korean fried chicken plate as well. The tenders were moist, tender and had a very light crisp batter. I was given two sides of their dipping sauce. Not spicy at all. Very savory and paired well together. The Korean fried dish was heaping with a good amount of fried chicken pieces , slathered in a sweet, tangy somewhat spicy sauce. It was sided with white rice which is always a great accompaniment. The dish was served with a serving of miso soup and a side salad with sesame dressing. We don't deserve you Gold Chicken!!! Haha. So this is probably my newest and most reliable go-to lunch spot. Cute spot inside. Not too many places to sit but it's perfect for the space. I usually get the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. Honestly its soo good. Also soo much Crispy Korean fried chicken, always fresh rice and a salad. On a beautiful, crisp early Spring day, there isn't too much better than a nice bit of Teriyaki. I decided to try a fairly new place. They are currently take-out only, so I only took out. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming. I am not sure certain if they'll have dine-in once this pandemic crud is over, but I'm grateful they are here. I really appreciated the kindness of the gentleman behind the counter. Like a dingus, I forgot to bring a mask. In fact, I didn't even think to bring one, which is an instant Pandemic Party Foul. He graciously handed me what I needed for safety. I had the choice to wait iside the restaurant, or to wait outside and have him bring the food outside. I had my little doggie with me, and it was a beautiful day, so we waited outside. The food came rather quickly, and we were ready for the hike home. I got the food home, and was still warm. It was presented in a very cool way. It was in a bowl, and had everything from sauce, to rice & salad with 3 or 4 gyoza for good measure! The chicken & beef were cooked perfectly, both very tender and properly coated with teriyaki sauce. The rice and miso soup seemed to be extremely fresh. The only complaint I have was that they didn't have sushi available when I went. I believe they were short staffed and there was no way for them to keep up with the demand. Randomly found this place! After looking at the reviews, I tried their new fried honey garlic chicken and it was amazing. Big portion and packs a bunch of flavor, just like other reviews said. The unagi bowl was a little bit too salty. Gyoza was OK! Due to the staffs shortage, I couldn't try their sushi today. The place is very tiny btw so you should be prepared to not having a table to eat. And it's quite weird that they don't have water for customers. You will have to buy a water bottle if you want some. I ordered through the yelp app and my order did take about 40 mins to be completed, but I was in no rush and it ended up being well worth the wait. Service was quick when I arrived and when I got home and opened up my bag of food I was in heaven. First, the teriyaki sauce that came with the rice and the dressing for the salad were exceptional and enhanced my experience. The salad was fresh and the miso soup was light but flavorful. The honey bbq chicken was so good and I did not leave a spec of food on my plate. If you live in Everett this is absolutely a place to try and I'm looking forward to future visits so I can explore the rest of the menu. I'm super picky about the quality of the chicken and their chicken is great! My favorite is the spicy chicken teriyaki bowl. The bowls come with a salad and 3 gyoza. The service is pretty fast and the couple running the restaurant are always friendly. The restaurant is small and there is not really any place to sit, just plan on ordering it to pick up or using a delivery service.
