Was taken off my debit card and posted immediately. Did not stay and was told I would get it right back, the n t day. Had to make my way home with no car from Ventura, Ca to Los Angeles... in the middle of the night, approx 3 hours from home.. Very bad situation. I call every few months and still haven't gotten my money back, it has been 7 months. I am a very physically disabled person currently approaching major back surgery, and really need this money back. Pax seemed nice, and I gave him the money, but as soon as he went home I was left to deal with staff members who were not less than savage, as they kept my money. I have called 12 times, have logged all of the calls, never a call back. They don't seem like compassionate people to be in the business of helping others. Atleast this was my experience

Hands down the best communication & respect I've received to help me on my journey. I leave next Friday which in turn will be 30 days reset for me. This is my first experience ever in any rehabilitation center. I am glad I can in when I did. I've met some great people here along my journey to support my decision to enroll here. If you're thinking about coming here and can. Do it. You won't retreat it. Top notch care & the food is above average & always fresh. Thank you Logan & staff for being a part of my journey. All the therapist are top line. Jake the gym trainer, the best. Super sweet gentleman. From the services they offer to the nurses. Top line. Not to mention for being form East LA native Mexican-America Chicano, I was treated with Class & respect. All walks of life come here that I lived with for 30 days. Thank you Passages. shout out to John in the RS department.

It feels like I'm literally talking to a close friend and I'm in a safe place. This has been by far my favorite aftercare process with any residential treatments. Sean is always making sure the family is doing well and if resources are needed, he gladly helps in anyway he can. Because of him. I'm giving Newport 5 stars. We need more Sean Plummer's in this world. Thank you.

Think twice before allowing these folks to care for and treat your child!…read more When we dropped our daughter off, we expected therapy based on compassion, structure, and organization. What we got was anything but. The issues started within hours of dropping her off. She was not happy (of course) and they allowed her to call mom repeatedly, which made the day 1 process 100 times harder than it already was. It seemed that she was allowed to call home (or whoever because she called lots of people) as often as she wanted. As the first week progressed, our daughter had a panic attack and they took her to the hospital instead of simply using their therapeutic tools to calm her down. We got a call saying she was being taken to the hospital with no other communication. Our calls to the facility went unanswered as did our emails to the therapist and or staff members. A week or so later, our daughter got into an altercation with another patient. The call to us was that our daughter was punched by this other person because she was in this person's face yelling. When we asked what was going to happen to this person, we were told.. "Nothing... what do you expect someone to do when they've asked your daughter to get out of her face and she wouldn't." What?? Truth was this person not only punched our daughter, but jumped on her and started choking her as well as punching her chest and neck area. They also failed to mention that when the other residents were leaving the home, this attacker attempted to jump through an outside window and back into my daughters room to continue the attack. As a result of this attack, my daughter had another panic/anxiety attack and was once again taken to the local hospital. The conversations between the facility and us were beyond ridiculous and uncaring. They were blaming my daughter and did not act as if they were in the mental health field. Again, emails to the therapist in charge of the facility were never returned. When we got her from a hospital, we saw the scratches and bruises. She has since been enrolled into a different facility and in the short time there, has made remarkable progress, so again, please do your research before sending your child to residential treatment. I can't speak for all locations, but the Camarillo location is a definite NO for many reasons.

As the call started, I clearly stated that I have a concussion. I was also speaking very slowly. I had trouble understanding "receptionist" so I asked follow up questions - all normal clear symptoms of post-consussion symptoms. "Receptionist" was rushing through everything, speaking very fast and in condescending tone, speaking down to me, implying in her voice and words how annoyed she is that I don't understand things that in her mind are easy, when I was confirming if they take my insurance. I then asked what does initial evaluation include, which tests, etc we will be doing as this clinic is a certified location with Concussion program I'm currently involved in online already. She basically said she doesn't know anything, no noone else is going to talk to me ever, the only way to know is to schedule an appointment. She refused to ask someone who knows to call me back, refused to ask herself the answer to questions she didn't know answers to and call me back. Completely unhelpful. In comparison, I just got off the phone with another certified clinic on my Concussion's programs' list where I was scheduled to speak to main therapist herself same day, after asking. It is normal to expect a patient, compassionate care. It is normal for receptionist to be able to answer basic questions about services. None of that happened. I am disabled due to my concussion. I don't have have to be or think at the same speed as anyone. Her behaviour was extremely unprofessional. This "receptionist" should not be working with patients, she is the wrong fit. She doesn't have any patient skills. She sounded like she was selling trinkets over the phone, like a cheap salesman, pushy, angry, stressed, condescending. I have asked her to stop talking, as her very fast, annoyed voice started increasing my headaches/vertigo and emotional state as she was undermining my questions, my needs, and invlidating my requests constantly. She ignored me and didn't stop talking about how "no, she will not help me". I had to ask her to stop 2 more times, before she actually stopped talking. Which shows she wasn't even listening. After she stopped, I clearly said "you are speaking way too fast for me to understand, I said I have a concussion and you can hear I am speaking very slow. You sound stressed and you just excerbated my symptoms. Please ask a therapist to call me". She said "yeah right that's not gonna happen". I put down the phone.

Everybody at Santa Paula just wanted to go home, and I was no exception. The facility was a bit drab and dreary, as many of these places tend to be..."the nature of the beast" as they say. Although the Activity Department made a valiant attempt at keeping people occupied and busy with Bingo, movies, art and other games, Santa Paula Post Acute was still not "home." Residents were cared for on a day-to-day basis by CNAs (Certified Nurses' Assistants). There were also nurses (LVNs and RNs) who oversaw the passing of medications to patients, among other duties. Several nurses were also employed in the facility's various offices. During the years I was there, Santa Paula Post Acute did not have a very strong administration, which tended to lead to chaos and upsetting results in the running of the facility. I hope things are better there now! Santa Paula Post Acute is located at 250 March Street in Santa Paula.

The medical staff is very patient and caring to her needs. The dietary program exceeds our expectations. There are daily activities for her to participate from Bingo to Karaoke. Every visit to the facility is pleasant and have always found mom to be well taken care of. Of course there is no place like home, but there are circumstances where the family can no longer meet the needs and 24 hour trained staff is needed. Very compassionate staff.
