$60 for 2 tickets to take my 11 year son to watch his 10th grade cousin play a basketball game? What a scam

Their chili makes for a great gift for clients or friends. We recently included this in a COVID gift basket for clients and it was very well received!!

Hit up the Women's Bean Project and fulfill all three ideals at the same time. My only regret is that I didn't start shopping here eons ago. My guess is the end-of-year holidays is the busiest time for them, based on the flurry of activity I saw in the warehouse when I stopped by last week, although you can support them year round by shopping online or at King Soopers. You can get edibles like cornbread and brownie mix, salsa and other dip mixes (garlic, dill), exotic flavored instant teas, their signature soup packets, coffee beans, chocolate-dipped espresso beans, jelly beans, gift sets, and a lot more I can't remember right now! They also sell tempting handmade jewelry as well. As someone who (in a past life) used to make a lot of jewelry by hand, I can tell you they are high quality and well-made. Women's Bean is based in an old firehouse on Curtis street, which is super interesting to look at. Production happens downstairs, with the 'showroom' and shopping upstairs. You'll likely see people assembling gift baskets and making jewelry. So, grab a basket, load up, and finish that holiday shopping! P.S. Interested in volunteering? Check out their website and hit them up - they are always looking for help.

Staff were really helpful and knowledgeable and other patrons were friendly and fun! Looks like there are a lot of cool events that happen too. I highly recommend checking this place out. It's illegal to vape in public places, but they don't seem to care. They had signs on the door saying THC products had to be taken to a grassy area across the parking lot, but it wasn't enforced, and that would still be illegal because it is illegal to use smoke or vape THC in any public or open space. The second hand vape was as bad or worse than any second hand smoke I have experienced. I left with a headache, sore throat, and feeling poorly. The jam session was also disappointing. The house band played from 7 to 8:10, took a break, and then came back and played another song. It was 8:25 before anyone was invited to join. The jam was advertised to go to 9 so it wasn't much of a jam opportunity. Also, the they decided to squeeze the band into a little spot in the walkway that was in the middle of all the vaping. People walking by had to be careful not to bump the horn players, and the horn players had to move to avoid being hit by them as they were playing. This was unnecessary because they have a big room with chairs, guitars on the wall, etc available in the back of the place that appeared to be setup for the jam. It made no sense and created a terrible jam environment.

I took an adult watercolor class for three sessions in December. I signed up for this class because…read moreI am familiar with watercolor but I wanted more ideas, tips, and techniques to improve my skills. For the first session, we had a sub for the class and she seemed apprehensive on how to lead the class. The two hours consisted of us essentially having free time to paint and a few basic brush movements. The second class was then led by the main instructor who seemed more confident and taught us basic skills such as painting wet on wet, dry on dry, etc, however this should've been done the first week. Additionally, the supplies we were given were not great, most of the paints we were given were out of certain colors and we were given a small number of papers and had to request for more if needed, which felt unnecessary. After she went over these ideas, she let the class go on Pinterest and choose a painting they'd like to replicate. She would walk around and give positive praise, however, did not offer feedback or various ideas on how to improve the painting. I love the concept and idea of this class, however, I'm disappointed this felt more like a free paint time rather than an instructional class for paying almost $200.

So what happened to us was that we could get our oldest into both before and after lunch programs but we couldn't get our youngest in both. Why? Because they sold out some of the afternoon? I think a business like this would schedule full day over 1/2 days.... Of course they were completely inflexible as far as the youngest kid. "You can join waitlist" "And if i don't get in you would allow me to cancel the other?" "No. " Seriously? You would stick me to a camp i couldn't get him home for? Whatever ... Then we were less than impressed with an afternoon teacher. Both my son and cousins referred her as "mean" "What is mean" "Like if you missed a step and asked a question, she would snap "ask another student" I did contact art garage and what I didn't get was so much as an apology just "I'll talk to teacher" and "appreciate your feedback". And even an excuse around the line of "self reliance" No being yelled at by a teacher to talk to ask other students makes people feel belittled and stupider than their classmates. Obviously not qualified to work with kids. This was the only bad camp experience this year. Though they did appreciate my feedback - so I'll assume they will appreciate this review.
