I spoke with Vivien who collected all my information and was able to give me a price in a matter of minutes. In order to receive the sale price, we had to be Aeroplan members but we were not members. She happily registered us from her office so we could get the sale price. I asked about cancellation and health insurance and she gave me quotes but told me to check with my credit card company as they may provide this coverage. She was correct and able to help me save money. I received very informative information, fast and reliable service and the best part was it was done all over the phone! I offered to see her that evening but she said it was all taken care of and she would just send me an email confirming all the details. I would definitely use this travel agency again for my travel needs!

She worked tirelessly to find me a great deal for my trip, and made sure all the paperwork was in order- from medical papers to hotel bookings. Yes you might be able to save some money here and there by booking everything yourself, but if you're a busy person, this can be a big hassle and often leads to headaches when things don't work out; there are also deals that no everyone catches. Let Ivy or one of her staff members take care of everything. You don't want to remember on the airplane that you forgot to buy medical insurance (unfortunately it has happened before). When you're going on vacation, that's one less thing for you to worry about. When I returned from my trip, I got a call from Ivy asking me how my trip was and if everything went well. She also called again later saying she was able to save me some more money while I was on my trip (don't ask me how this was done), so I got an even better in the end! Price is well worth the customer service.

The process is simple; they pretty much do everything for you. There are times when I have had specific requests (I want a resort that has this but not this or I want a hotel that's close to here) and they have always catered to them. They narrow my search and present me with the best options - it's that easy! I've always enjoyed the trips and recommendations from my AMA Travel agents as well. When I went to Mexico, my agent recommended a certain tour. We did the tour and we absolutely loved it! The AMA also has travel gadgets and luggage available at their travel desk. My last trip was to Las Vegas and my agent emailed me (I told her I preferred email) to see if she could recommend any shows or places to eat. I asked her about some shows, decided on a couple and they turned out to be fantastic! I really like the AMA as a travel service because they make everything easy - they way it should be. Why go somewhere that is going to complicate things that don't need to be complicated? AMA Travel is fantastic and I couldn't be happier with them!

Nothing but a headache! So for starters if it's 3am and your off the road in -40 no one is behind the phone to help you, all you get is an answering machine and a repeating message saying "open Mon-Fri, 9-5 (might I add I just called a 300$ tow truck that was there within 20Min) Now also the times you really need it is the cold mornings and your car does not start before work and needs a boost! Everyone in Edmonton that day seems to need a boost too and when you call for a boost it's a 6-12 hour wait. So what loose a day pay waiting around for a boost, I don't think so! So this also goes for the Travel section of AMA! They are the worst customer service I have had and it was at this location I went to. The employees were not helpful for what travel I was booking. I was so frustrated with them I went home and looked online and I was amazed. If I booked a flight with west jet on their website it was 500$ and that exact same flight on AMA was 700$ so your loosing money booking threw 3Rd party with AMA. My aunt also had a trip booked threw them after my experience but it wasn't until she had to cancel until I found out. She booked ahead of time but her sister past away and she could not go on her trip. Ama was sooo hard to deal with and the people did not know at the center, she had to wait for a call back which took 1day! She had her trip refunded to a gift card because it was too late to cancel even tho it was 5 days before her trip. And to get the gift card was very very very hard, it was a battle to get that. So another part to the story is my aunt lives in B C where there is no Ama which is horrible because alllllll gift card purchases have to be made in store only haha what a joke this company is. My aunt cant afford to fly to alberta to spend her 1600$ gift card. I never ever spend time giving reviews but this has to be put out there!

The gentleman I spoke to was nice at first, he grabbed me a brochure right away and started asking me questions about the travel I had in mind. But when I asked him a question, he was a bit condescending in his response - like I should have known all the details about how they operate at Travel Cuts. But I don't - that's why he works there and I don't! I also asked him about a specific attraction in a certain city and he said he had never heard of it and it must be in a different city than the one we were talking about. I was sure it was in the one we were discussing though. He said that if it was, he had never heard of it. As I was walking away with my brochure he gave me, flipping through the pages, the attraction I was talking about was in the brochure he gave me! This guy clearly didn't know too much about the place I wanted to go. That was upsetting considering it's his job to know these kinds of things. And the fact that he told me I must be mistaken about the location, was just the icing on top of the cake! I was disappointed with my experience this time around. My other experiences with Travel Cuts have all been positive but my first time at this location was less than good.
