My son is 16. Up until his visit here, he was constantly wearing a durag day and night. School or work. I just thought it was part of his style, as he does like the hip hop culture from music to clothing style - he mixes that in with his own spin on it. However, after his haircut here, he hasn't worn it since. So I take it as he really liked his haircut! As his mom, I always want my son to be comfortable in his own style and never tell him not to wear the durag but I missed seeing his hair! Just as I would miss seeing his eyes if he wore sunglasses 24/7. I am glad this barber gave him a cut he felt confident to show his hair in again!

Moved back to the area recently and started wearing a flattop.. not a cut that every barber has mastered. Based on two reviews, I gave them a shot on a whim on a Saturday. Minimal wait time, and I got David. He has cut lots of flats, but even admitted that Laura is the "Flat top queen". Well if that's the case, he's at the very least the "Duke" because he did an outstanding job. Was very thorough to get it standing up straight before he began cutting (always a good sign) and then I would bet he cut it at least three times to get it perfect. I was thrilled. To my surprise, he wasn't satisfied with how my cowlicks were looking in the back, so he had Laura tag in to get it extra perfect... where do you ever see someone 1) admit they could do better and 2) ask for help. I was blown away... and as I told them both "you could have fooled me, I thought it looked great before!" It was perfectly cut and perfectly flat. Will definitely return and both David and Laura are incredibly skilled with flattops. Highly recommend. Cut was $20, a bargain for the time and effort he put in.

My son gets a number 1 on the back and sides and scissor cut on top and the guys do a great job at blending. The shop is nice and clean. The barbers all wear matching company shirts and have nice hair themselves. There are seats to sit in while you wait and a flat screen TV wall/mounted to watch. The guys treat my son like a young man. They are very nice. My son likes it here as well. There are plenty of barbers on duty so, unless you are waiting for someone in particular, you get service quickly! Now I have to go get a second haircut, because the barber got impatient at 3:15 pm, with literally no one else in the store. There is no fluff and they give you a perfect haircut every time. Attilio, the owner of the shop, is a friendly, older Italian gentleman (with the accent to match), who has a steady hand and a time-perfected way of cutting hair. It's not like going to supercuts, where they use clippers (or a flowbie?) on your entire head or Lady Jane's where somehow sexy legs equate to a quality cut. Of course it's also not like going to a spa with a soak and scrub (perhaps a neck massage to cap it off). This is a gentleman's haircut: simple yet done to perfection (without a hint of irony). Everything is done with scissors and straight razors...the way it should be. To cap off the cut, he uses a straight razor and warm shaving cream to fade the hair on the back of your head. It is quite therapeutic. Add to this the quality conversation that always arises every time I go and you get the ideal haircut. While you're there ask Attilio about where to find imported Italian items (especially food items), and he will send you to the forgotten corners of Western New York and Canada. Now keep in mind Attilio is not the guy to go to if your looking for an avant garde style or coloring. This is a gentleman's barbershop that gives a gentleman's haircut, the kind of haircut that only comes by sticking to and mastering the traditional ways.

He's precise with his cuts, and he understands Asian hair best, but he has customers from ethnic groups and colors. So I highly recommend him for Asians who want a clean cut. He's polite, kind, and strives to give you a cut that you won't complain about. I attend the University At Buffalo, and I'm a Korean-American who had to wait for his haircut until winter/spring break. I wish I have known about him before this semester; however, it better late than never. Pricing is solid; he charged me $20 for a great cut. You can show him a picture, and he'll understand what you want. It is open right now as the sign on his door states 9 AM-6 PM on weekdays and 9 AM-5 PM on Saturdays.
